Coaches are let go when clubs owners or federation think the coach isn't good enough anymore not when players send emails and threatened to not play if a coach is not sacked Deltamani: |
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by lovewins: 9:05am On Sep 23, 2022 |
isan: That is just one of the reasons coaches are let go. If a coach's presence doesn't provide a conducive environment for players to thrive then they are let go. Like I mentioned earlier, you'll have a point if one or two persons made this request, but if over half of the team are saying they don't want him, the association will be stupid not to listen. Recently a team owner in the NBA ran foul of some rules and he was suspended for one year and fined $10M. Some NBA star's voiced out their reservation about the punishment and felt it was too lenient, now he's selling his team. Point is, this case isn't isolated, if majority of your team don't want a coach, then listen. 2 Likes |

BascoVanVeli: Normally, in this life, everybody cannot like you. But when you are in a gathering and more than half of the people there hate you, then you are probably the problem. In a squad of 26 players, 15 hate you, in a democracy, if a vote was to be conducted then you'll be out. Mind you, the coach must be very incompetent mixed with being a proper a**hole for the players to resort to this kind of drastic measure. I also heard the father of the Spanish women's team coach is the head of women's football of the Spanish FA, that's why his backing is so strong and they have refused to sack him despite being a failure after 7 years as the coach. 1 Like |

solonnachi: Why 21 though? Is that the max number given by FIFA? The team looks kinda lean in my opinion. Also Daniella Alali the LA galaxy girl didn't make the most. Was she in camp at all? |

A summary of the common letter shared by the Six Barça players with Alexia Putellas: •• They regret that the RFEF made their private mail public. (Read mail stating that they were unable to make the selection due to anxiety, depression... toxicity lurking around the dressing room) •• They did not GIVE UP the selection (as the RFEF announcement indicated) •• They have never CLAIMED the departure of coach Jorge Vilda (as several media outlets have reported). •• They reject the "childish" tone used by the federation in its official communication. Said conclusion: "Players who have resigned from the national team will only return if they admit their mistake and ask for FORGIVENESS." This is too much!

lovewins: This isn’t her NCAA debut this season for sure, have watched her start at least 3 games, and this would make it 3goals for her this season.. Maybe it’s the Big 12 Conference women's soccer tournament debuts. |

I Consider Onyi to be a versatile and highly talented player, she plays mainly as a central or an attacking midfielder but can also operate in several other positions and has been used as a winger or second striker. ••• She is blessed with significant physical strength, pace, or ability in the air. ••• She is a quick and elegant player on the ball with good dribbling skills. ••• Her Athleticism, work-rate off the ball, vision, crossing accuracy, wide range of passing, and powerful long-range shooting ability with either foot already set her up ahead of her mates… In all we need a Good Coach 2 Likes

Incredible from Michelle Alozie: Footballer and Cancer Research Technician From @AdamWinkABC13 (Adam Winkler): "Michelle Alozie (@alozieee), a forward for the @HoustonDash, works as a cancer research technician for @TexasChildrens - and does so during the @NWSL season." In the lab: Houston Dash's Michelle Alozie has 'other' career at Texas Children's Hospital HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Michelle Alozie's feet are a nod to her favorite soccer player. "I love Mario Balotelli, and I think it's unique and fun," Alozie said. "So why not?" Why not is a question the Houston Dash forward asks herself about wearing mismatching soccer shoes. How is an inquiry we have upon learning about her other career. "I was looking for jobs, something to do. I'm just so into medicine," Alozie admitted. "And thankfully, Dr. Stevens reached out to me." Dr. Alex Stevens is a pediatric oncologist at Texas Children's Hospital. Early last year, she hired Alozie as one of four research technicians to work in her pediatric leukemia research lab. "She's far exceeded expectations," Dr. Stevens shared about Alozie. "She learned all the techniques we're doing in lab incredibly fast. She has been a full-fledged member of the team." So, yes, the 25-year-old is a member of multiple teams. She's a standout for the Dash, a member of the Nigerian national team, and part of a staff breaking down barriers to help get new cancer-treating drugs to children. "Michelle has exactly what I look for in everybody I want to work with - she has fire," Dr. Stevens added. "She has the desire to make a difference in the world - to use her talents and strengths to the best of her ability, and I love that. It's what moves the field of pediatric oncology forward." And Alozie is using those talents and strengths concurrently. She's not just a cancer research technician in the offseason. "If I finish here (with the Dash) at noon or 1 p.m., I'll run over to the lab," Alozie, who has scored two goals in eight games for the club in 2022, explained. "Thankfully, it's really close to our facility, so I'll just run over to the med center and help out with wherever my coworkers left off. I'll usually go in on weekends, too." When her playing days are done, Alozie, who has a degree in molecular biology from Yale, plans to attend medical school. But until she hangs up her contrasting-colored cleats, Michelle says she'll keep chasing both her dreams. "At the end of day, it's just a passion," Alozie said. "I'm fighting for this little girl inside me who has always wanted to play soccer, and has always wanted to be an awesome, cool doctor." "She'll be a fantastic doctor when she's ready," Dr. Stevens said without hesitation. "She has so many talents, and life is short. She's living her dream as a professional soccer player and having the potential to impact the lives of children for decades to come." In a similar style to her mismatching shoes, Alozie's career features two separate jobs, which appear to be starkly different but make for a perfect fit. The Dash play their regular season home finale Saturday, on the final weekend of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. With a victory, the Dash will clinch their first-ever playoff spot. https://abc13.com/houston-dash-michelle-alozie-nwsl-texas-childrens-hospital/12251858/ 5 Likes 1 Share
