Going towards Ajah yesterday evening I was well prepared for the long traffic with my bottle of Pepsi and two Gala rolls. What happened on the road however is not something anybody can be prepared for.


Jamming my JCole music loud with my earpiece I did not at first notice the unusual crowd gathered at Jakande but soon the noise they were making penetrated through my music haze. A full BRT bus was parked and there were policemen all around it. "What happened, what happened" was all everyone could ask.


So as the correct amebo I am I decided to "investigate further". What I heard my people, e heavy for mouth no be small. This young dude entered BRT with all his body parts complete but at Jakande his penis got lost somewhere along the journey. "Nobody leave this bus!" the policemen shouted, "you are all going to the station if no one produces this man's thing."


The victim was almost running mad, holding the front of his trousers and shouting for his penis. It was not a funny sight at all, they did not let me video but don't worry, as soon as i get any updates you my readers will be the first to know.


My brothers out there please be careful when walking these Lagos streets o, don't let anybody touch you because its not only wallets they steal now, body parts can get missing painlessly too. God help us all.

The National University Commission (NUC) has sealed off, World Mission University, an unregistered university in Delta state.


The seal-off was executed by the NUC in collaboration with officers of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Related Offences Commission (ICPC) on Thursday, June 23.


The coordinator of the institution, World Mission University, as well as the support staff were also arrested by the agency during the operation



Mrs Lucky, the school’s coordinator, before her arrest, insisted that university started operations in 2010, having being registered by Corporate Affairs Commission.


She said: “Our objective is to provide scholarship and run international degree programme as well as create employment.”


She added that the school management was working out details to enable it register with NUC.

Moses Awe, head of NUC legal department, disclosed that they had monitored activities of the institution for about six months after a student had inquired about the university’s genuineness.

SP Emma Ugochukwu Nwakanma was born as d first child of his parents on d 20th of July, 1976 to the family of Eze GN Nwankp. He was born to Eze Alaoma 2 of Alaoma autonomous community in Umuokoroukwu village, Umuoba. He attended the group primary school, Umuoba from 1982 - 1988 and then to Ascension Seminary, Amodara from 1989-1994.


He attended Abia State University from 1996-2000 where he bagged a bachelors degree in Sociology. He also got a masters degree in Criminology and Police Science from University of Portharcourt in 2015.


He was privileged to attend prestigious Police Academy, Kano as Cadet ASP course 22 in 2005.



Emma Nwakanma has served in several places including Anambra State Police Command from 2006-2007. he served at Abia State command of the Nigerian Police from 2007-2008. Mopol 27, Katsina, where he served as the unit commander in 2008. He has served in the IGP secretariat, Force Hdqtrs Abuja as staff officer to the Inspector General of Police from 2009-2012.



He also served as unit commander & Squadron Mopol 19, PHC, from 2013-2015 b4 he was appointed ADC.

It is with great pleasure and sense of responsibility I address you this morning as the new Ag. Inspector General of Police of our beloved great country. I want to thank Almighty Allah for this day and want to show my utmost thanks and appreciation to the President, Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the Chairman of the Nigeria Police Council, President Muhammad Buhari, GCON, for having the trust and confidence in me and for appointing me to this exalted position. I promise not to fail this nation in our quest to make the citizens of this Country safer and also to ensure that our nation remained united and peaceful. I want to use this opportunity to inform you of our policy direction in the management of our Police Force from this day.


The Nigeria Police Force will henceforth be guided by the international core values of policing with integrity, ensuring that the rule of law prevails in our actions and activities, and to strictly respect diversity, courage, compassion and professionalism. The Nigeria Police also would operate within the principles of Democratic Policing which is an institution that is responsive, respresentive and accountable to its citizens at all times.


The Nigeria Police Force will henceforth, have as its main focus, integrity and accountability as its cardinal operational principle in all its actions and will be decisive on any of its personnel that deviate from its core values.


In order to establish and maintain high standard of behaviour in our official conduct and to eliminate impunity and ensure transparency in the application of the above core values, we will ensure that the following activities will be carried out immediately by this administration: -


Responsive Police Institution: - It will be against work ethics henceforth for any Police Commander at any Command level to treat complaints with levity, and complaint received from members of the public must be treated within shorted possible time to the satisfaction of the complainant. This is in line with one of the principles of democratic policing which states that a democratic police institution must be responsive to the yearnings of the community.


Transparency and Accountability in the Management of Police cooperative and Police insurance schemes:-

The management of Police Cooperative and insurance schemes which are investments made by the members of the force will henceforth be made more transparent and accountable to the generality of the police personnel, especially the ranks and file who constitute the largest contributors. A lot can be achieved in our efforts to enhance the welfare of the police personnel through genuine utilization of these two investments. The accounts of these institutions bodies will be made more transparent and accountable to the entire members of the force, and contributors will have more say in the running of these accounts and on how their investments will be utilized on daily basis.


Strengthening of the Police X-Squads Units to fight corruption amongst civil servants: - In our effort to give a boost to the current administration’s war on corruption, the Police management will strengthen the police x-squad units in the Police Commands with the deployment of thoroughly vetted, selfless and patriotic officers to tackle corruption and abuse of office within the police organization and amongst the Federal, States and local government levels. The personnel deployed to this anti-corruption unit will be supported with incentives to make them more effective in the discharge of their duties.


Cheap and Affordable Housing for Ranks and File:- This administration will leave no stone unturned to look into the issue of provision of cheap and affordable accommodation for the police ranks and file to own individually.


Availability of Police Uniforms and accoutrement:- Making uniforms and accoutrement available for members of Ranks and File will be a priority of this administration. Henceforth, appearance of every police officer will be taken seriously.


Payment of Salaries:- Prompt and timely payment of salaries of serving personnel will a cardinal objective to be vigorously pursued by this administration. I promise that we will ensure that the police are not at disadvantage

Workers at the Federal Ministry of Finance today called for the sack of Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, as they staged a protest at the federal secretariat Abuja, over the non payment of their allowances and entitlements. The workers shut down their secretariat in protest.



They complained they have not been paid their overtime and training allowances since Adeosun assumed office in November last year. They prevented cars from coming in and going out of the secretariat. They say they will not end their protest until their demands are met.

The beautiful girl simply called Chinenye was looking forward to just another day to go to work and live her life when things changed in ways she could not have anticipated.



Chinenye was about to boil water to take her bath and she attempted to turn on the gas, but it didn’t come on on the first attempt, she struck the match a second time and the resulting explosion knocked her off her feet.



She narrated that she was unsure how she got up and ran through the fire in search of a means of egress.



She made it out, but the fire took its toll.

Donations for Chinenye are now being solicited with the help of On-Air Personality Blossom Emechebe at Anambra Broadcasting Service – ABS on her Facebook page.

Nollywood has lost an icon again exactly nine days after the death of Henrietta Kosoko.



A popular Yoruba actor who often features in Odunlade Adekola’s movies, Abdul Lateef Titilope aka Itakure is dead.



He passed away last night after two days of mild Malaria fever.



In a press statement released by family members last night, the deceased will be laid to his final resting place at his family house in Ile Egbaunta, Agunpopo area of Oyo town.



The Islamic burial service will start at 8:00am today.



May his soul rest in peace (amen).

On Thursday 17th June 2016, troops of Sector 5, 27 Task Force Brigade, 3 Division, in conjunction Civilian JTF from Maiduguri arrested a suspected Boko Haram terrorist, Ibrahim Jagwal, aged 38 at Gishiwa Dabua area of Potiskum, Yobe State.



The suspected terrorist who turned out to be the Ameer of the Boko Haram Terrorists at Tumbin Gini, Abadam Local Government Area of Borno State, also led the team to Garejin Audu in Potiskum, where another terror suspect, Audu Ahmadu, (alias Condemned) aged 45 years, was arrested same day.



Preliminary investigation confirms that Audu Ahmadu is a Boko Haram Engineer who specializes in repairs of automobiles for the Boko Haram terrorists group. It was further confirmed he was at the garage to repair 2 vehicles. The vehicles were recovered by the team, while the suspects have been taken into custody for onward movement to Joint Interrogation Centre.



In a related development, troops of 156 Task Force Battalion, 29 Task Force Brigade carried out clearance patrol yesterday. The patrol team came in contact with Boko Haram terrorists near Abalam, South West of Alagarno forest. The team engaged the terrorists who fled due superior fire power.

The troops pursued them and discovered that they left behind 7 men, 13 women and 27 children that were held hostage at Gemri village. The patrol team also recovered 4 Dane Guns, 3 Bows and 5 packs of arrows containing 114 arrows.



The terrorists camp was destroyed while the rescued persons have been moved to Maiduguri Internally Displaced Persons Camp.

It was a day of joy at First Fertility Hospital in Makurdi, Benue state as a 45 year old woman was delivered of triplets after not being able to conceive for 12 years.



The woman who hails from Otukpo local government area of the state was able to conceive through assisted reproductive technique, also known as Intro fertilisation, IVF, and was delivered through caesarean section on Monday 13th June. Her and the three babies are doing very fine.

The Ooni of Ife’s wife, Queen Wuraola has opened an Instagram page. In doing so she is the first Nigerian Olori to own such a page.

Nigeria is experiencing hard times, some people refer to the situation as trying times. This feeling is borne out of the current state of the economy under the one year old administration of President Mohammadu Buhari – who took over power from Otueke-born Goodluck Jonathan. Goodluck Jonathan belongs to the PDP – that has steered the affairs of the Nation for 16 years. President Buhari assumed power after his fourth shot at the Presidency.


His party, All Progressives Congress, has been PDP's main opposition before they clinched power with a mantra of CHANGE from ex-President Jonathan's “Transformation Agenda” One year down the lane, Buhari's administration has not been rated so well by the Nigerian populace because of the not-so-good economy, coupled with some Ministers with great flops their ministries.

Below are some funny names these Ministers are being addressed:

1. Minister of Travel - Chibuike Amaechi – The former governor of Rivers state is Nigeria's Minister of Transport. Since his assumed the ministerial role, he has been travelling up and down with President Mohammadu Buhari, with no remarkable activities in his sector.

2. Minister of Darkness – Babatunde Raji Fashola – Fashola is Nigeria's Minister of Power, Works and Housing. The former of Lagos state is in charge of Nigeria's three powerful sectors. Lately, Fashola has been described as the Minister of Darkness, considering the terribel state of power supply in the country – worse than the previous administration.

Recently, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senator and the Chairman, Senate Committee on Domestic Debt and Loans, Shehu Sani lashed out at him for the darkness being experienced across the country. Sani described the drop in power supply as unacceptable and embarrassing. He called on President Muhammadu Buhari to rethink his way towards appointing a Minister who is not only an electrical engineer, but who has the knowledge of the industry. Also, few days ago, a Channels TV Presenter was spotted using Power bank on air – a testimony of undependable power supply.

3. Minister of Padded Budget – Udoma Udo Udoma – Udoma is the Nation's Minister of Budget and National Planning. Udoma has been described as the Minister of 'padded' budget, considering the imported figures and manipulations into the 2016 Appropriation Bill.

4. Minister of Lies – Lai Mohammed – Alh. Lai Mohammed is Nigeria's Minister of Information and Culture. Before his appointment, he was the Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress. Lai has been described as a Minister of Lies beause of his defence manner of dealing with issues, even when reasons are obvious that things are not working well. Mr. Mohammed was a bone in the in the throat of the Peoples Democratic Party before his party, APC took over federal power last year.

5. Minister of Hard Labour - Chris Ngige is the Minister of Labour and Employment. Nigerians say there has been nothing from Ngige other than reports that he allegedly collapsed while defending the budget of his ministry before the House of Representatives’ Committee on Labour. More so, the manner of street-wandering by Nigerian employed youths make his appointment questionable.

6. Minister of Subsidy – Ibe Kachikwu. Ibe Kachickwu is Nigeria's Minister of Petroleum. Kachikwu has been referred to as the the Minister of Subsidy because of the recent increment in the pump price of Petrol, from N86 to N145 following the removal of fuel subsidy. Kachikwu claims that the removal is needful for the deregulation of the downstream sector, but some Nigerians' grief is that it should not come when all is not well with the Nation.

VIDEO: EFCC Reveals $18m House With Bulletproof Gym Allegedly Seized From Diezani In Abuja




The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has said its fight against corruption has led to the recovery of a multi-million dollar house in the Asokoro District of Abuja, allegedly owned by former Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke.


Also recovered from the former minister were jewelries and wristwatches while cash was recovered by EFCC operativees from the house of a former military chief.



The EFCC made this claim in a documentary titled “Nigeria Corruption: $10b in cash & assets recovered”, aired by Aljazeera.


According to the EFCC, the house, believed to have been bought with public funds allegedly stolen by Mrs. Alison-Madueke, is part of the $10.3billion worth of assets and cash recovered that had been stolen during the Goodluck Jonathan administration.


The report said the house is worth $18million with furnishings worth over $2million with a bulletproof gym.



Speaking during the documentary, the EFCC Chairman, Ibrahim Magu, said the anti-graft agency under his watch has been able to take on a lot of big shots that were hitherto considered untouchable, in the three arms of the military and political class.


He also disclosed that in just one year, the EFCC has been able to record 164 convictions.

In response to allegations that the war against corruption was politically-motivated, Mr. Magu strongly denied the allegation saying, “No, not my EFCC, not the EFCC of today. We are not politicized. If there is an allegation against anybody, we will go after them”.
