Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, has returned to Nigeria, after undergoing eye surgery in Germany.

Bello arrived yesterday evening, in the company of some of his trusted aides and officials.

The Governor, who was declared missing, left the country to correct an eye ailment that had been troubling him for sometime.

All state functions were put on hold leaving the Deputy Governor, Simon Achuba, with only the duty of receiving visitors on behalf of his boss.

Tunde Agbaje, cousin of a former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, gubernatorial candidate in Lagos State, Jimi Agbaje hit the news today for trekking from Lagos to Zaria to show love to a lady.



The lady in question simply identified as Donald has responded to the courageous feat of the 26-year-old Agbaje.

Donald said she knew Agbaje was embarking on the trek, adding that she warned him against it.

She said, “Tunde (Agbaje) has been harassing and stalking me for the past six years and as far as I am concerned, this is just a new escapade in a series of his harassment.

“I met Tunde at a church when I was living in Lagos and we were both part of the youth ministry. He never had a friendship, let alone a relationship, with me. I was in a music group and some of the youths had my phone number, including him.

“He later found out where I lived and came to my house. My mum warned him to leave me alone, but he refused. ‎

“I changed my phone number and moved to the US, but I don’t know how he got my contact. I have stopped picking calls from Nigeria because of him.

“He later called me and said he was going to trek to prove his love for me in a non-violent way and I told him not to do it because he could die. I said that not because I cared, but just for Christian charity. This guy is mentally unstable, because how can you still be stalking a woman who has turned you down for six years?”

He made it clear with biblical references that the society and people really need to understand that mental patients should seek medical attention rather than spiritual help.

The quality of your life will not be better than the quality of your thoughts. Fight and Win your mind battles.

Use faith to fight the fiery darts of the enemy. (Ephesians 6:16) Quench every negative news that comes into your life

If you want to maintain your sanity, you have to be sensitive to God’s word. Be anxious for nothing. Philippians 4:8.

If something is wrong and you need medical attention or If you know anyone with mental illness. Please seek medical help.

Seeking medical help for physical or mental illness does not contradict God’s word or having faith for your healing.

Popular comedian, Gordons has called on the Federal Government to ban tithes and offering collection in churches within the country.


Gordons gave the advise via his latest comedy collection entitled ‘Comedy Clinic.’ He said, The only solution to our problems in Nigeria today is religion. I will be the happiest person in the world if the federal government place a ban on giving of tithes and offerings from churches.

“I tell, we will continue to lament as long as these people keep collecting the little one we have in the name of offering.

“By the time tithes and offerings is declared illegal, then we will know those who were called by God and those who called themselves in the ministry.

“I tell you, some people actually saw miss call and not calling into church ministry,” Gordons added.

America based dancer Sayrah, has backed Dance Queen Kaffy on allegations of mistreatment of dancers leveled against Davido.


Sayrah in an Instagram post wrote,

“RESPECT THE DANCER! At this point people need to take their time to listen and read before commenting. This entire situation about Nigerian artists disrespecting dancers is far beyond ‘DavidO’. @kaffydance used the reoccurring events of Davids disrespect as an example of how a lot of Nigerian musicians (not all) do not appreciate dancers and our contributions to their crafts ( stage, music Videos or even promo social media videos). Being that I was part of the first incident at the One Africa Music Fest ( NewYork) I know how I felt when David decided right as we were walking on stage that he no longer wanted dancers. I personally felt disrespected and felt like he had no regards for my artistry as a dancer. At this point we all were upset and had to change right in the stadium, in front of all these people.”

“Then @kaffydance tells his manager that he’ll still have to pay the dancers because of our time wasted (dressed and on stage) then his manager runs back to us and said “He still wants dancers, he just didn’t want them for the first song. Tell them to get on for the next songs” Irritated and stressed we still got up there and did what we had to do. Fast forward a few weeks later, Kaffy had to pay the dancers out of her own pocket. I know this Cus I was there and I did the transfer to the dancers. Kaffy NEVER GOT PAID! While David’s manager kept telling her he’ll pay soon only for David to finally tell her that he’s NOT PAYING! Please tell me why she wouldn’t be pissed off? This is not about 3thrones (that was just him disrespecting dancers at rehearsals) this is about the never ending disrespect and underpaying of dancers in the Nigerian entertainment industry. An unsuspecting young woman on Wednesday, October 26th, became a victim of a conman and their trickery after being given a flyer along Uhuru Highway.

According to local media reports, she was stuck in traffic when a man approached her and started talking to her about the benefits of losing weight and then handed her a flyer before disappearing.
Moments later, she started feeling dizzy and decided to park her car on the side of the road to seek help from passers-by. It was then discovered that the flyer she was given had been laced with poison.

Police arrived at the scene and the woman was taken to a medical centre for examination.

The Nigerian Senate took a bold step on Thursday by finally passing the Code of Conduct amendment bill, 2016.

The amendment included - altering the tenure of office of the chairman and members of the Code of Conduct Bureau.

Here are nine major adjustments made the CCT Act by the Nigerian Senate today:

1.Tenure of CCB Chairman altered from serving until 70years to ONLY one term of five years, renewable by only one term. Entry age left at 50

2. Relocating the power to exercise authority over the CCB from President to the National Assembly.

3. Extending powers of AGF to prosecute to private legal practitioners to enable CCB to prosecute it's cases.

4. National Assembly (no longer President) will now have the powers to confer any additional powers (if need be) on CCB.


5. A minimum of 3 out of 5 members of the CCT must sit at all times to be deemed to have formed a quorum.

6. All nominated CCT members are now to be subject to screening and confirmation by the Senate.

7.To enable cases of exception under the CCB Act to be handled by the National Assembly instead of the President.

8. Provisions of Evidence Act (2011) are now to apply to the CCT where crime is an issue.

9. Accused persons concerned in a case before CCB shall be given opportunity to make a written admission of any breach or non-compliance and where such written admission is made, there shall be no reference to the CCT.

Sokoto state Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has released the sum of over N12million to buy cows for orphans in the state. The said amount which was released through Zakkat and endowment Committee is meant to buy cows on Sallah day across the 85 District Heads of the state.
The break down shows that each district head will collect one hundred and thirty thousand naira to buy bull and distribute it to at least forty orphans across the 85 District heads.

Meanwhile, Governor Tambuwal presented twenty five thousand naira to each District head to buy ram on sallah day. The occasion was held at sultan Palace Sokoto.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has said the union Will commence a warning strike action starting on the 2nd October,2016 if Federal Government fails to meet up with its agreements, The ASUU chairman university of Abuja chapter, Dr Ben Ugheoke disclosed this information to the media.


He said, "We have tired to dialogue with the federal Government but they have been playing games with us, we will start with a warning strike to show them we are no jokers''
Dr. Ugheoku noted that all efforts by the union proved abortive while stressing that the strike will last for one week,''and if they do not give us listening ears we will start the indefinite strike come November 2016.''


It will be recalled that ASUU in a recent conference stated that Federal Government owns the union N124bn as earned academic allowances from 2013-2016, aside another N495bn that also accumalated as arrears.
The union also urged both federal and state government to honor the agreements they entered into with them in order to prevent a major crisis.

The Lagos state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Fatai Owoseni on Thursday accused accused religious leaders of promoting sexual offences in the country.

He lamented the alarming increase in the rate of sexual crimes and domestic violence in the nation.

Recent reports and investigations showed that “the so-called men of God” were hiding under religion to commit such heinous crimes, he said.

He added that the police is working closely with the Office of the Attorney- General to address the issue.
