Top on the list is going to work with sleepy eyes from lack of sleep due to baby's cry and feeding over night. My wife insisted on we staying in the same room to share the burden. My mother inlaw came to my rescue after a while as she noticed my exhaustion from sleepless nights. I swapped room with her much to the frown on my wife's face. 1 Like |

My experience as a first time parent with my daughter... 1. Having to settle her disputes all the time even after a long stressful day... 2. does not like to sleep in her room but mine and wees on my bed always. 3. Cries when I lock my room door and won't allow you relax once she's in. 4. She makes me watch cartoon all weekend cos I can't change the channel for peace sake. 5. I constantly monitor her movement cos whenever she is quiet, she is probably spilling my cream or committing something critical. 6. Follows me everywhere which can sometimes be disturbing. 7. Wants to follow me once she sees me dressing up...even for work. Especially when she is on holidays... 8. Demanding for tea at ridiculously odd hours, else no peace. E plenty o. But kids can really make you a truly better person trust me. 35 Likes 5 Shares |

Can't remember the last time I had 3hours of uninterrupted sleep...for where? Have a 2years plus and a baby of 3months...ha....imagine the 2plus seriously beating the 3month just because of baby innocent kicks. Say u sit conveniently when out of sight is dangerous, some kind of cry u are clueless of the cause, endless back ache as a result of dancing without music Abi days of running like a mad woman chased by the wind when u hear any loud noise...whoa..still got q wound for hitting my head on the wall Imagine calling of names while sleeping and jerk up thinking ur baby is crying or the older one is throwing tantrums again Have u bought baby food with ur last card only to find it empty right in front of ur toddler...ha ...kuku ma kill me..heheheheh Thinking of some hours of endless cries just because she is refused of either feeding, backing or changing diaper for the newborn....am like,u think he is some kind of toy or ur teddy bear? Abi days you want to go down low with hubby and one cry interrupted the action....heheheheh....hubby hates this part....me we just dey laugh..... No more privacy in ur own home..... Abi begging and crying to wee on the express when u she just did before u left home?...u want to dress her up and she turns usain .....that endless chase to feed,cloth..hehehehe Parenthood is a journey no one tells u the challenges, you learn as u go and the only journey you embark on with no prayer to no the end.....the only job u get tired, yet u don't earn..... I can't wait to relate this to them and have a good laugh someday.....may the lord protect all our children and bless those who want to experience this with A mother especially can't explain the feeling,....it is well with all parents and parents to be..... 29 Likes 1 Share |

Everything changed. Sleepless nights, pains in d abdomen when baby sucks though dis last few days after u put to bed, husband demanding u cook for him just two days after u put to bed while u are still weak and tired and still recovering. Midnight cries. List is long. It is not an easy task especially when u dnt have some one to assist. 10 Likes |

I'm currently awake cos my 2years old daughter has decided to be awake (she slept in the afternoon), I'm trying to take her off the diaper so we wake at intervals to pee.. Waking up at odd hours to take tea, Following me everywhere, I'm always careful not to bump into her cos I'm pretty sure She'll be at my back. Cartoon...no other TV show in the house ooo and I must sing and dance atimes... her silence and disappearance is a "disaster". I can't use my phone alone, she wants to talk to everyone I talk to on phone. Reduced "me" time.. But at the end, she means the whole world to me 22 Likes |

as a father of three, my youngest baby now 3yrs. I will tell u am the most blessed man on earth because my wife handle almost everything and may God bless her, it is very easy for me to assist, her effort is more, even with all the stress of raising them till now one thing am very shock to see is the bogus demand for preparing them for school in the morning, picking back and doing a follow up on their assignment, teach them and spending time with them, so this is were I came to bow down for my wife when it come to my children education she doesn't take it likely and I hate this teaching job when i do it for 30 mints I give up but she doesn't get tired 8 Likes |

lonelydora:Not only boy but I saw USUALLY in your post, cool. My first girl would scatter things and damaged a lot of items in the house. The highest priced item in the house damaged by my second daughter was our 3 months old LED TV, N50,000. 4 Likes |

elektra:Honestly speaking, they are supposed to invite someone over either from the husband's or wife's side just for a certain period of time no matter what the cost in terms of money and food for extra mouth to feed. That's how it works. Can't really blame the husband, may be he didn't know how to cook. 1 Like |

elektra:U want another strong lady to be cooking for her husband? What is making her weak 2 days after delivery? I am a Doc and i know thats an embarassingly stupid excuse! What happened to employing a helper as part of preparation for the "challenges ahead"? The only problem here is the attitude of ladies of nowadays. Apparently the real women are long dead. Our grand mothers wer never like this. |

Helping aunt take care of her boy and girl twins was a handful experience. The boy was a bundle of laughter ..he can laugh from morning till night especially after bathing. But girl would cry at every intervals... Interestingly I have this "magic body" that makes kids either stop crying or sleep off once I carry them, so once my aunt noticed that she kept pushing the girl to me for "consolation and sleep therapy I think through it all it made one appreciate our parent more 2 Likes |

lonelydora: Any parent that hasn't see what u mentioned has not started. But comment highlighted that one na die. My 4 year old is a master of destruction. None of his toys last more than a week. I buy toys like crazy. Just recently got him and ambulance and Truck am sure they wont last long. To add to ur comment. Can't walk out the front door without my son crying and screaming to come with me. Wifey is jealous but it can become tiring especially if am rushing out to work or meet an appointment. 3 Likes 1 Share |
