All these twist by PDP members who initially claimed the discovery was propaganda is just a silly attempt to rubbish the breakthrough recorded by EFCC in the war against corruption.

EFCC have obtained a temporary forfeiture order already and the court had also decided that the owner must come forward and claim the money within the next 14 days or forget the money forever. So, what's with all the speculations and attack on Ameachi?

Whether the money belongs to Ameachi, NIA, CBN, Muazu or Esther is no longer the point. The money now belongs to the federal government except someone can come out and claim ownership in the next 14 days. We should be celebrating this breakthrough and not misinforming the people.

Wrong , its not just about forfeiting the money, the owner should be brought to book. Seizing the money doesn't deter corruption and honestly it only enhances the rumor that the cash is owned by someone in the APC.

You can't tell me the government don't know the owner of the house, come on, we ain't kids.

It's just like the arms intercepted by customs, the owners identity protected.
Nigerians should not support a one sided fight against corruption.

The owner should he summoned and publicly announced like the others and brought to book.

If it's all about the money why was Justice Ademola,Dasuki and others arrested and publicly ridiculed.

Abeg jare, methinks the whole thing sef set up.
EFCC fit just put money in that house and stage everything for popularity, no be naija.

You go wait tire o cos the stakes are too high for such a risk. cheesy

But seriously getting to know who owns any property in Lagos is no rocket science and almost as easy as ABC.

The EFCC is just being economical with the truth regarding who owns the money.

What amazes me isn't ffk's allegation, I'm used to his idiocy. What is really surprising is the fact kids who were screaming at the top of every rooftop in their five villages that not a dime was found and that the whole "drama" was staged by EFCC are now the people gobbling at ffk's sputum in agreement the money belongs to Amaechi.

Wonders indeed shall never end.

This is the reason your APC is losing high profile cases. Your propaganda stinks, you are no where near transparent. APC didn't tell us the owner of the money discovered at the airport and now this. What type of corruption are you fighting. It seems you guys are the ones dumping those cash and claiming to hv discovered them just to score cheap political point in corruption fight. I am sure that money does not belong to any PDP member. Kiss the truth.

This amount of money without a verified owner....
Was the flat not rented out to someone ?
Is there no tenancy agreement ?
How was it paid for ?
Can the Landlord not be summoned to give evidence and cast light on the issue ?
Who did the whistle blower originally implicate ?
These are simple and logical questions
It is one of the most terribly easy things to do - to find out who owns what building and who rented what part apartment of same, in any city, most especially in a place like Ikoyi

Although Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode made this assertion from his twitter handle, governor Fayose made his statement through is spokesperson, Mr. Lere, Olayinka

According to Lere Olayinka, “The Osborne Towers, a luxury residential complex in Ikoyi, Lagos where EFCC said it found $43,449,947, £27,800 and N23, 218,000 on Wednesday is owned by the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.”

“The house was built by Alhaji Adamu Muazu, the former Chairman of PDP through a loan from GTBank.”

“He could not repay the loan so GTB took over the house and allocated the Pent House to Muazu and two flats.”

“Rotimi Amaechi bought TWO of the flats (7A and 7B). He then gave 7A to MO ABUDU, the TV presenter, who is suspected to be his girl friend.” “But the flat 7B where the money was found belong to Rotimi Amaechi. The is believed to be cash kept for 2019 elections.”

“Let’s see how the cover up game goes.”

But replying Olayinka, Mr. Iyofor said,

“Lere or whatever you call yourself, delete your lies or be ready to face the consequences of stupidity and utter foolishness.”

“You better hear well before your ear sends you to prison. Lying is not playing Politics. You dont play politics by tweeting outright lies.”

“Where is your proof? If you think you can link Amaechi to the House&money by tweeting this rubbish, then you need to have your head examine.[sic]”

Big Liar! Demonic Liar! Listen, you disgusting pig, Rotimi Amaechi is not connected or linked in anyway whatsoever to the house &/or money.”

Recall that operatives of Economic EFCC, had found $38 million, £27,000 and N23 million in a private residence on Gerard Road, Ikoyi, Lagos

EFCC is in charge of fighting financial crimes and it is their duty to disclose / prosecute whosoever owns that money if it's a proceed of crime.

Muazu has shed light on his own part as it relates to the property in question so going further to mention name of the person who bought originally (it may have been resold) will amount to tampering with EFCC investigation.

Why is there so much problem to trace the rightful owner of the money. Don't we have forensic experts who can help in detecting the prints on the money and touches in the building? EFCC should wake up from their slumber and use the right technology.

I knew someone in this government owns the money that's why everywhere is silent.

Even the one at the airport and the bereau de change office.

If it was an opposition member like Andrew Yakubu, the identity would have been revealed sharply.

We are not fools, a whole federal government cannot claim not to know the owner of a building or its tenants.

Facking country
You might be right. However, the fact today's EFCC gives no respect to the wrongs of a member of the ruling Federal Executive Council (based on your claims) deserves great accolade.

EFCC is making a tactical move by not naming the owner of the money for now. If you arrest the owner and arraign him in court, government cannot access the money until the case is finally disposed of; which could take years. But when you impound the money and file for forfeiture, the money can enter government coffers in 14 days. Plus, it doesn't stop EFCC from going after the culprit.
The truth is that those who hate this fight against corruption are confused about recent successses being recorded by Magu and his team. They couldn't imagine these successses. Initially they claimed it was lie; some of them said it was stage managed. According to their heroes, FFK and Fayose, the money belonging to Ameachi. But Lare who always speaks Fayose's mind would not stop doubting the recovery. Such is the extent of their hate-caused confusion.
But there tactics is to rubbish the government effort since they quite know one of their looting friends must be involved in the scandal. Let EFCC name the suspects tomorrow, next thing you will hear is Witchhunting.

Nigeria is doomed.

Only in Nigeria that government will found huge sum of money in someone's home, flat , room and still claim that they don't know who owns the money and the room where the money was found.
