What a stupidity!

Never mind that guy! The richest man in my town is a dentist richer than his medical colleagues, though practising in the US. If not that Nigeria is cursed with underdevelopment, coupled with the domineering attitude of the medical docs, dentists would have been far better off in Nigeria. That is why i think the dentists should fight for and have their own separate regulatory council and not being attached to the medical guys.

U have a MBBS in naija and u relocate to the States. U can't practice medicine over dere until u have some certifications in the States wch is like studying medicine again!!!

Let me lecture you,its not like studying medicine again.It is like someone that studied law abroad.He will have to go to nigerian law school before practising in nigeria.just like law,health conditions are region specific.

You don't know what you are saying.USMLE is not restricted to nigerians.It is for all non American medical practitioner that wants to practice in US.Be it,indian,british etc. and that doesn't mean indian and britain medical school are not good.Nigeria can decide to be doing the samething if they want.

My brother is coming back to Nigeria from Ukraine as a medical doctor.We met a consultant to help give him a place in Nigeria prior to his coming back. He said that it won't be a problem but the only task for him is that they i.e overseas medical students coming to practice in Nigeria would write a special kind of exam just to check whether they really merited their degree.

They go through about 6 months training and write a not so difficult exam to get the Nigerian certification. Congrats to ur bro. MBBS see themselves as Members of Big Boys Society (MBBS), but in actually it's a tough world for doctors.

He shouldn't have gone to Ukraine to study medicine. Ukraine's medicine is good, but there's a lot of racism there. They don't allow African medical students access to Ukrainian patients, hence African medical students study medicine there by assumption, and when they get here, passing MDCN exam becomes difficult for them. In fact, they're not well exposed.
