Most sections or verses in the bible are the writers personal opinion and not God's. 1 Like |

Best Answer: If you read 1 Cor 14 in it context, Paul begins in Chapter 11 and goes through chapter 14 dealing with issues that the church was having with how their religious services were being conducted. In chapter 11 he deals with people who were abusing the fellowship meal that often preceded such services, by hogging all the food and even getting drunk. In chapter 12 he deals with infighting over church positions and ministries, each group claiming that their calling was higher then the others. In chapter 14 he deals with issues where people were interrupting the services wanting to give "special revelations" that they had received, or give their messages in languages that people could not understand. One of the issues was that there were several women who appeared to be interrupting the services wanting ask questions. Paul tells them wait, and ask their husbands their questions when they get home. That way they can get the answers without having to interrupt the service.(Nothing "sexist" or degrading about that). So I Cor 14 was addressing a local issue that the women were interrupting the services and needed to be told to stop and ask their question properly. But it also reveals a principle for all times, which is if you have a question, rather than interrupt the service, ask the question of the proper people afterwards. 4 Likes |

Christianity is evolving just like everything else. We have gay pastors now and people will see as normal thing in the next 50-100 years. People will be defending them just like they are doing for women talking in church. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

torres89: Exactly, you just reflected my mind. Christianity is about the new testament, NOT the old testament; i am not saying the old is entirely useless though but more emphasy should be placed on the new testament. |

torres89: Not a Jewish law! Kindly note that Paul addressed the Christians and not Jews. Jews refused to accept christ as the expected Messiah. Paul and the early Christians teaches the laws from christ. A lot of Churches today don't implement what Christianity demand. A CHURCH is a body of Christ. Any worship place that fails to practice christ teaching is a TEMPLE or a WORSHIP CENTRE. |

OP thanks for the reminder. That means i won't be putting offering again, my husband will do that, if there is an event the men should cook and decorate the church, i won't be preaching again, when i feel like doing so, i'll tell my man, honey its now ur job, finally i won't be praying in church again, especially all those head shaking prayers, neither will i shout fire when the pastor says to do so nor will i say fall and die. Women we've gone scotfree from these troubles. Btw, those two women, where are their scarfs? 1 Like |

torres89: Fallacy! Jesus clearer said: I have come to fulfill the law, and not to abolish it. This he said when he was asked if it was right for a man to divorce his wife and marry another according to Moses law. However, In Jesus Christ we find the fulfillment of God's promise through the prophets. |
