Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari commissions Lekki Deep Sea Port (The most advanced Sea port in the whole of Africa) . It would derive revenue for the country , decongest Apapa, and create thousands of jobs . The port was largely funded by private players with Lagos State and Fed Govt as stakeholders.
That’s awesome

Yeah oo God wanted to liberate abia from poor government and tribal government imagine only little VC wey dey give am for abia state University this man carry ngwa people full for different offices in the school he owes lecturers school was hiked up
When Edeoga was made VC of Umudike he made sure that his people from Enugu dominated, otunta did the same with Ebonyi people. These are People from outside Abia. All through the history of Aba north and south lga, 2015 was the first time an Ngwa indegene was made house of reps representative. The Ngwa are the most accommodating tribe in Abia and yet we get profiled and insulted at will by folks like you.Didn’t the last Vc’s of a ABsu put there people in places of authority ? The Ngwa are the biggest tribe in Abia state yet we had to wait for dozens of years to become VC in a state university ? And please don’t lie that ikonne didn’t perform cause he did
And despite all that the present governor has done for the state, the biggest gross with you guys is that he is an Ngwa guy -people who are to be marginalized and never to taste power ?

Funny enough you guys cry when the rest of Nigeria treat the larger Igbo race as we treat the Ngwa,Mbaise and other clans

Nice one

Can we say the rate Lagos is moving, it will take some region 50years to catch up.

Sadly many of them flexing nzogbu nzogbu muscle on naira land will never board a light rail in their entire lifetime.

While the rest will only visit Lagos because they want to ride in Lagos light Rail
Congrats to Lagos for another milestone.

And as for bigots like the idiot I quoted , someone who will not afford to use this railway, may hate keep choking you inu

The name 'Ikpeazu' means 'Backward judgement' so what do you expect?
Only in Nigeria such nonsense is done
Abia is the most backward South East state and the useless governor is there forming 'Mr Transparency' under useless G5 governors
Shut up ,ikpeazu means the end or at last

Ikpe-azu means underhand judgement and Abia isn’t the most backward SE state by any stretch

Are you pro ESN/IPOB ?
Am pro igbo , be it as a part of a working Nigeria or as a separate (fully independent or semi independent) nation .

I don’t believe that Ipob are going about their struggle the right way, violence will only lead to another debacle like 1966-1970. And from the way things are going , the way the don’t take kindly to opposing views ,a nation controlled by them won’t be better than the current Nigeria
PoliticsRe: Abia State Development Thread- PICTURES by 3duj: 4:29pm On Jan 21, 2023

Your first point already contradicts your second points.

Is ikpeazu not owing workers in Abia state salaries ?
I don’t know if he is owing that’s why am asking .

It doesn’t, Ipob has a military wing that carried out attacks against military and police formations-that can no longer be disputed. A regular traveler within the SE will have come across them some years ago. Their camps are located in communities with deep ipob loyalty and that is why the military adopted a scorched earth policy in communities know to harbor them. To prevent civilian collateral damages ,am guessing the ESN mostly stood down.

Now we have the murders and criminalities going on by political forces especially in imo,Anambra and Ebonyi . Some of this murders are carried out by Ebubeagu or unknown gunmen and blamed on IPOB/ESN

Nice..ikpeazu should try and pay salary please.
Another thing I noticed is that IPOB attacks seems to be least in Abia and maybe Enugu and Ebonyi. Even tho MNk is from Abia, Any reason for that ?
Can you explain further on the issue of owing salary ?

As for ipob attacks, it’s very less in Abia because

1)most of what we call ipob attacks aren’t from ipob but politically motivated (imo state)

2) The Ngwa (biggest tribe and landsize in Abia state) and Umuahia people aren’t die hard ipob members like we get in orlu and orsu .So it’s impossible for camps to be set up in there forest’s .

The market already has a 2 me ipp supplying uninterrupted electricity to it. Hopefully the next governor of the state will continue this modernization of One of Nigerias greatest market space. As for A-line, it will be completed before the present governor leaves office

PoliticsRe: Abia State Development Thread- PICTURES by 3duj: 10:40pm On Jan 18, 2023
Going further,that market needs
1) a fire service station dedicated to that market alone. The fire station should come with huge water reservoir from which pipelines carrying water will spread to the market with hydrants at strategic points in order to fight fire outbreak(which is a real threat now as this new A-line will enjoy uninterrupted power supply from the Ariaria ipp)

2) a car park to help decongest the now completed faulks road. The last administration converted the car park of ariaria into shops

3) a warehouse section where goods will be stored after offloading and be moved as required to shops. The elites in that market have this tendency of converting shops to warehouses

4) the entirety of that market should be fenced in to eliminate traders spilling onto faulks road

5) concluding omuma road phase 2 as that road will be an alternative road source to access the market

PoliticsRe: Abia State Development Thread- PICTURES by 3duj: 10:34pm On Jan 18, 2023
This the phase one. It comes with a brand new concrete road ,and once completed other sections of the market will be pulled down and reconstructed

PoliticsRe: Blame The Igbo's For 1966 Coup. Who Do We Blame For 1983? by 3duj: 7:50pm On Jan 17, 2023
Officialgarri:
Majority of you are just so daft. Anytime the 1965 coup is mentioned especially being undisputedly an Igbo coup , then you begin to counter it with other coups that took place.

Common sense should tell you that the 1965 coup is the first Nigerian coup which makes it a very important one, especially for a Newly birthed nation in which each region is represented by distinct leaders . Akintola, Bello and Azikiwe.

Secondly, a tribe of Azikiwe(Igbo) killed most important representatives of Yorubas and hausas i.e Akintola and Bello respectively , but then you keep comparing such an important coup with some Orkar or Buhari coup ..
The coup leaders where actually from the Midwest not the Eastern part of Nigeria. To be precise ,delta state and seeing as you idiots like to remind us that Igbo speakers in delta and rivers state aren’t Igbo ,isn’t it a fallacy to now claim the 1966 coup as an igbo coup ?

Kaduna Nzeogwu who lead the coup and killed the saraduna died in the ensuing civil war, Nigerian forces treated his corpse with modesty and the Nigerian state still at war with Biafra forces gave this man a state burial with much fanfare. In fact ,today his grave is still in a military cemetery up north and interestingly,it has never been vandalized - doesn’t that make mockery of your claim the coup was an igbo coup.

The coup of 1966 is only important to keep the Igbo man down to never let this group of people reach heights that there assumed masters seem to never reach -nothing more to it .

Hmmmm. I hope it comes to live tho and not become another abandoned project.
Btw,u thought that geometric have already finished their power project in aba
Let me add in a few thoughts.

This thread doesn’t in any way show the full extent of what’s happening in Abia-especially Aba today. Those of us contributing are doing so at personal will. Unlike the threads of imo ,Anambra and Enugu state that at one time or the other had peoples working for the respective state governments pushing it at full steam, the same can’t be said for Abia or Ebonyi state threads.

It also means that we don’t have the full information on happenings as we can only speculate.

That being said,

1)geometric energy last year bought off EEDC from Aba and 7 other lga’s in Abia state
Geometric energy is now collecting fees and distributing power from alaoji to Aba.
The Geometric power plant isn’t yet fully operational ,it is undergoing maintenance and servicing of its turbines(3 gas turbines).
Abia state government invested state funds into the plant to enable it meet the financial burdens the litigation for 8 years with EEDC caused.
Expect at least 18 hours uninterrupted power supply in Aba before December this year.

2) like I said earlier ,there is a university almost completed and a Chinese industrial estate at the site of Enyinmba economic city, and now with geometric coming up shortly and the permission to build the Enugu-ph express gotten, that project is gaining traction. Also bear in mind that similar to the eco Atlantic City ,the lekki free trade zone etc, this project has an estimated completion date of slightly less than 20 years

PoliticsRe: Can Obi Win SE In The Coming Elections? Let's Debate It by 3duj: 8:04am On Jan 03, 2023
OsunOriginal:
Election results in southeast will be the most interesting. This is the region Peter Obi comes from which ordinarily should be a launchpad for him. However, the political dynamics in the region are the most intriguing. This region has been consistently and largely PDP regardless of who the party fields... whether a rogue, thief, etc. It doesnt matter. Therefore, apart from Anambra which is APGA, other states in SE, we can say, are in the hands of the PDP because the political heavyweights in the region today are still mainly in the PDP. I know Imo and Ebonyi are APC-controlled at the state level but the PDP's voting power is still very potent in those states.

Nonetheless, we can say we have in southeast, 2 APC-controlled states (Imo and Ebonyi). The PDP controls Enugu and Abia while APGA controls Anambra. Obi's party controls nothing in the whole of southeast. All the political leaders in these states have refused to endorse Obi and these are the people that will mobilize voters on election day and they won't mobilize voters for Obi/LP. We know why. The APC man controlling Imo will fight with everything he has to retain his hold on the state because allowing Obi's party in his state is like digging his own grave. This is the problem Obi will face in all the southeastern states. While Obi naively thinks the youths who are mostly on social media will help him on election day, the real politicians have their people and those will ensure Obi and his party are defeated in all elections including the presidential.

To this end, I don't think Obi can win any state in SE apart from Anambra since APGA doesn't have a formidable presidential candidate. Yes, he will get the required 25% from the states in the region.
If you where from the SE , you will know that Peter obi is winning every SE state. No matter party affiliation of its governors, no matter ipob and its sit at home,Peter obi is the reason the SE now had one of the lowest number of uncollected pvc’s

Egbema is a father Kingdom that even gave birth to the Egbema in imo and rivers state.

do you think Egbema is a today kingdom?

The Egbema kingdom predate the entire Igbo ethnicity..
Egbema kingdom predate the benin kingdom.

Egbema kingdom has gave birth many kingdoms, such as the Egbema of river and imo state.

Egbema kingdom population is more than the population of the benin kingdom.

Ask itshekiri people, the will tell you about Egbema...
I stopped being angry at such absurd claims long ago when I realize how misformed and unintelligent the minds of a large section of nairaland’s population is.
Seun and his mods are doing a good job of producing a large population of biased ,tribalistic and mentally handicapped individuals for their paymaster’s to ensure the continued bondage of this nation

IGBOSON1:
You peeps are qute comical in your deceit! You and the likeminded twerps involved in this una back-and-forth think you're being smart in using Igbo-themed threads to slyly and subliminally brand IPOB as 'terrorists' like your boss Buhari has done! You take the teleguided actions and words of all these sabos, efulefus and 5th-columnists as coming from IPOB just so you can call the secessionist group 'terrorists'! All these 'factions of IPOB' arose AFTER Mazi Kanu was kidnapped from Kenya and they have been disowned by IPOB, yet you lot persist in trying to link their sponsored actions and assertions with IPOB!

Let's take the ekpa bastard for instance....despite all his statements and tweets, which in some cases are the precursor to murder in the south-east, can you refer to anytime Liar Mohammed or Buhari have ever mentioned his name or compalined to the Finnish gov't about him like they did with Mazi Kanu and the UK/Israel gov'ts? I've always said the job they gave ekpa is one of the reasons the despotic Buhari gov't doesn't want to obey a valid court order and release Mazi Kanu! They need to hold on to him so they can continue with their ruse of IPOB being 'factionalised'!
Most of us igbos (especially those stupid enough to support APC) fail to acknowledge that this nation is set up to make slaves of the Igbo man. This forum is one of such. We see threads of bad governance and insecurity in the SE given priority over the abominations going on all over the country. The SE has developed well in terms of infrastructure in the last 8 years and even doing well in terms of FDI and investment and that’s why the are frantic a true igbo man doesn’t become president.

The current insecurity in imo state is sponsored by the state like many other things in this country. Simon ekpa is an agent of the state ,ipob has been heavily infiltrated like Massob and ohaneze mid igbo
.

And before the Apc idiots come for me, why is the Enugu international airport terminal still not completed ?
Why is the world class Anambra airport still not cleared for international flight ?
Why is the NNPC depot at Enugu still not functional ? Despite maintenance work on its pipelines being completed since 2015 ?

And let’s come to the Enugu-ph road, the most important stretch of it (Aba/ph) has been abandoned making the work on it totally useless

And oh the icing on the cake. Around umuichichi Aba, we noticed trucks with Chinese inscriptions moving in at night along with military men (northerners of course) and northern labourers, the next morning ,payloaders and cranes pulled out the tracks and disappeared with them.
Some months later we’re hearing that the tracks were stolen and workers attacked in Aba hence, the Enugu -madiguri railway project is bust.
A quick fact , the Aba-ph section of that rail was the only functional part of that rail line since OBJ destroyed our railways. In fact, it’s the only one at people used to transport heavy goods between Aba and ph. Today that last connection is gone and yet we’re silent
