what do u think you are saying? So anything tht happens is because of gej? So the burnt bus and car in jos is beecause of buhari as well. And let me educate u, I was born and raised in warri, and trust me! U are a learner to say warri people are hooligans!! Bring anybody and warri pple are going to hold it down. Even me self soft pass you. Mtchewwwww
What are you saying sef? I said GeJ administration permits hooliganism. And regardless of where it happens, North South East or west, it's cos of GEJ's laxity that people are taking advantage of. And thanks for the education but save it. I was also bred ( after birth)in Warri. I've moved houses starting from edjeba village unto jakpa, ugborikoko, enerhen, pti, dsa, etc so I know what I'm saying.

In this poll come 2015 feb 14th, Buhari is the winner. campaign just started, did u watch the Town hall meeting at EDO today? see strategy. where are the people that campaign for Yaradu in 2007 and GEJ in 2011? can GEJ ever pull supporter on his own? people just follow him to collect his money and vote their mind. If buhari can pull 12million votes on his own in 2011 when no 36 state govnorship candidates, senate, reps n state house of assembly across naija, then what will be the result when he has full support of naija and GEJ is moving around with only muazu?

Vote change.

Meanwhile GEJ can still make history by just steping downd for Buhari 24 hrs to the poll, otherwise 'GEJ na only u waka come oooo'
I streamed the Town Hall meeting mehn! And I fell in love with Osibanjo, I hailed Adams Oshiomole and I respected Fashola once more. Osibanjo projects focus. I loved him for saying the issue is not that niaja govt dunno the BH people, but that it's clearly not a priority to the naija govt. And that's as simple as the truth.
This Town Hall meeting, like Adams said, is the best strategy for direct interface with leaders becos campaigns, you just receive the garbage campaigners on the podium throw at you without being able to ask them how they intend to do all they promise.
I see PDP attacking personalities and APC addressing issues.

I wish I can vote online. I'l vote that team.

That's to show that waffi people are [still] hooligans and that's only because the GEJ administration encourages hooliganism. My people, regardless of if you are abroad or back home in naija, when voting, think of your children and grand children. The decisions you make on FeBuhari 14th will make a difference in their lives. I wanna see things revert to normalcy. Nigeria has been limited since due to misplaced priorities. We talk about issues of unemployment, slow economic growth, decline of industries when 80% of, if not all these, would have been a thing of the past if there was constant light in Nigeria. Why den can't someone focus on power sector which when it works, recurrent expenditure on generator maintenance can be saved as at least 2 new employees' salaries?
Please oh. Nigeria affects us, everyone alike; home and abroad. #VoteWisely. Tx

When did Buhari's say so? Do your research very well before you spew untrue stories. Or didn't you hear that Reuben Abati tendered an apology for misleading Nigerians with the allegations on Buhari? Or that GEJ begged for settlement outside the courtshuh

I hereby call on the DSS to start by Arresting this dude for making incitations like this statement. If he was tired of asking his members to pray for the fall of BH and terrorism in Naija, why didn't he call on his members to join the nigerian police and combat against them, arrest them, etc. How can he provoke war by telling civilians to kill others under the auspices of religious wars. Moreover if you like his statements, then put him to the test. See on "jihadist-lookalike" and point out to him and ask him to bring out the neck himself let's see if he will do that. Nonsense. Looking for someone to commit murder all in the name of Christianity. Bible teaches to obey the government. But This preacher is preaching anarchy. He really has guts. Only in GEJs regime that every Tom, Dick and Harry can spew rubbish and be hailed
Christianity EtcRe: Some Wrong Prayers Often Prayed In Church. by 3sha4lyf: 8:57am On Dec 22, 2014
Another annoying one is when the Pastor be praying for a couple without children and he be like " none shal be barren in the land so every barren womb open now"
Whereas, it's the man's p3^¡$ that may be dysfunctional. They always focus on the woman, even annoying when the pastor is a doctor, or knows someone who is, and understands that there are two people involved in childbearing.

Ok thanks but I was in dubai in january this year.
I think Dubai may not have strict immigration border control hence entry permit can be issued at the POE on arrival at Dubai. But all these sorts of countries JW mentioned have "rigorous" immigration systems, from visa application till you reach the POE. And yhis is not to undermine Dubai; just that they have different systems they use to address border controls.

I have a USA student visa, with my visa can I leave the airport cause I have a long long wait at the airport in Manchester..I will arrive by 12.45pm in Manchester and wait till 11am the following day for my connecting flight to New York.

I hope to get candid replies.
Hi,
I think you may wanna read more about the "transit without visa concession" thingy. You can do an assessment via https://www.gov.uk/check-uk-visa so you get prepped incase the ECO requires further info on your onward journey. smiley
Hope this helps.

My question is this..... I have a conference to attend in the UK on the 10th of November 2014. Is it late to make my application online and book for an appointment on the 27th of this October 2014?
It may not be too late because on an average, many have seen their visa issued within 10 working days. Recently, my friend's one was issued within 5 working days (+ 2 to return to the VAC). More so, if your docs r "straight to the point", your application may not take up to 15 working days.

What do I do? Should i get a bank statement from those account and add to my other account?

Another Question. I have an Invitation from my sister who's married and ofcourse has a change of name! Who they be requesting for any evidence that she's my sister?

Thank you.
Ditto Justwise.
Include all accounts and as for the cooperative payments, you can jot that down on the additional info section of the form as the source of those funds.
Ass for your sister, you may/may not need to show extra proof that she's your sister. If for example, she has documents to show her (maiden) name which is same as ur surname, if i'm correct, she might wanna include it as a supporting document. Hope this helps

Hi All,
I know this may sound clichéd and must have been mentioned here or in other threads but then i cant help but reiterate this because of recent occurrences. Please peeps, be careful of who's giving you an invitation letter. Even when you have gotten your visa and on subsequent visits, be careful of who you tell the ECO you will be visiting on that visit. I mean ask questions, theres no harm in inquiring more and more from your host or the person you wanna visit on any trip before giving their names at the POE.

At a POE, i listened to interviews of people detained for reasons ranging from issues like "Why do you look sooo tired", to "when last did you see your spouse" etc. One case was a mum, and her sister, who said they would be visiting their daughter/neice. Meanwhile, she (the daughter/niece) was on a visit visa and had stayed for slightly over 6 months. Heard the officers say "Shes overstayed and has no right to be here anymore". Needless to say, I saw them invite the airline representative to bring in their bags from the carrel, asked for 2 seats on the next flight to (cant remember where) and usher both through a door that I suspected was to return them to the waiting room for "deportees" till they are ready for boarding. While they were leaving thru that door, I noticed the Officers radioing and calling out the address they gave, to the other party (their collegues) and making arrangements (probably to go to the daughter/niece's) residence, cos they said she wasnt at the airport to pick them up.

Another case I saw was a lady who wore "winter" regalia huh and when questioned (thru an interpreter), she said she was in for TOURISM. the Officer asked her several times, and even gave her a last chance to say her main visit purpose but she maintained tourism. He asked how much she had, she mentioned $10k, he asked are you pregnant, she said yes, "do u intend to give birth here", she said yes. He then said "you lied to me...I'm sending you back to China". Long story short, she begged and cried out her heart but they just called in her flight rep, brought in her luggage, ushered thru that same door, and that was it.

Also saw a student from China, guess he was in his second year, BUT from his school statement, the officer could tell he was late for resumption. when he said he had spoken with the uni, the officer asked for a mail from the uni to confirm he can come even though hes late. He couldn't provide that and was told he would be returned to china. I noticed the officer stamp his passport three times with different stamps and a call was being made of course for a flight rep.

Another case, wasnt really too sure but i could hear questions like "how long have you been with her", "when last did you see her" "how long have u been working with xyz" "do you have property" "how come youve been working at xyz for bla bla long and you dont have any properties". Then I also heard the Officer say "go and think about your story and when you are ready to tell me the truth, im here, i got all nyt". But then the passenger said "I'm British so why would I lie?" Funnily, the officer corrected "No (with low tone though, then with a higher pitch) You have a British Passport, and there are several reasons why you would lie, so go sit there and think again about your story". I was lolling inside me... His luggage was brought in but this time for a search as he was sent in through a separate door.

The last one i noticed was a man who had some traffic offence far back in the past, it was sorted out then though before he got his citizenship, but he was temporarily detained at the POE for questioning. His interview didnt last up to 2 mins so he inquired why he was detained. the officer simply reminded him of that offence and said "we need to check from time to time that you are now a good citizen".

In all, im sure there are lessons to be learnt from this. I really felt for the mum and aunt that were deported cos they looked really elderly.i could only imagine those grannies who travel 6 hrs to the UK or even 8-10 hrs to see their children. How painful it will be if they are refused entry and have to be returned to naija...another 6hrs or 8hrs trip; that's jetlag x2.

Please peeps politely ask questions from/about anyone you may visit before you mention his/her name at the POE as someone you may visit during that particular trip.

Hope someone finds this helpful.
Cheers every1

angelo82: Whats wrong if you both have and able to share responsibilities like its done in Europe….
guess that was in the 90's. A British former, whinnying at me, told me to tell my friend that, in his own words, "Real men take their girls shopping all the lovely stuffs when they are on vacation"...

Nairalanders pleeeeeeeeeeaaaaassssseeee WAKE UP!!! I put it to you (lmao @ Lawyers terms) that you won't marry a broke guy. Throw back if you're dating one AND YOU ARE COMFORTABLY HAPPY WITH IT. Btw Broke is the far other end of Rich BUT there is "Financially OK" in between oh.

Worse case scenario, If you are a successful lady and you date a broke guy, 3 things are possible when you both go shopping TOGETHER...
1) If you are paying for your shopping, you'll NOT buy what you want and can afford; for ya mind, you'll be saying "I'll come back tomorrow to buy this one, hope it will still be here".
If you shop like you really want to with your money, you'll be seen as a pompous babe, showing off in front of your man, when u know he can't afford it.

2) If he's paying for your shopping, 70% of the things you pick will either be ugly in his eyes (considering the price, etc) or he'll be like "do you really need that?", "We can get that some other time", "I don't eat this", "I'm watching my carbs so we shouldn't buy that", etc

3) it's less likely you'll go shopping together again.

If care is not taken, as a successful lady, you'll stick to online shopping in your private times.

Please be true to yourself, stop bashing OlamiB except you ARE PRESENTLY dating one (not that you can date one oh). It's not impossible but e go hard oooo. Ain't nobody got time for that please. smiley

Just before you leave Nigeria, u can speak to ur bank n tell them you wanna pay fees with "Form A". They'll deduct the fees from ur account (after filling forms n attaching all relevant supporting docs like statement of school fees yet to b paid, admission letter, passport and visa, etc. ) at the CBN conversion rate which makes it cheaper.

My opinion though.

TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by 3sha4lyf: 11:24pm On Sep 27, 2014
Vicjustice: You mean that you really paid that much attention reading the terms and conditions of that size?
But by the way, apart from Spouse or some special Migrant application, what visa application is it that takes so long that an application can then be withdrawn within 3 months and 7 days?
Terms and conditions form crucial parts of a contract so it's important one reads them albeit long or short, tiny or large, before appending a signature in agreement.

Vicjustice: But by the way, apart from Spouse or some special Migrant application, what visa application is it that takes so long that an application can then be withdrawn within 3 months and 7 days?
Hence I said if poster tells the visa category, it will make the response you proffer easier.

Plus except the visa application process has changed in the very recent past, I think this is the application process.

You fill form online,
Digitally sign it,
ANd submit it electronically there and then when you confirm it. At that point, you can't make any changes online. You just print out the VAF
Next you make payment and book appointment for physical submission with supporting documents and that's when you do Biometrics data collection. So it's at this stage you've successfully made a visa application for visa consideration and case workers can actually visit your application to make a decision.
PLEASE SOMEONE CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG ON THIS. TX
Now if u miss ur appointment date, you can reschedule for a later date.

However in this case, the reason for travel has elapsed and poster requires a valid up-to-date reason for travel because rescheduling for another appointment won't be valid anymore. So, according to their Ts and Cs on the general visit VAF which you fill and sign online, you may be able to request a refund for the visa application fee if the application is withdrawn in writing within [before] 3 months and 7 days [100 days] of the original date of application and prior to submission of biometric data or any processing taking place. I will think this categorically means that once you visit Telefonica, VFS Lagos or even VFS Abuja to submit your docs in Nigeria, you can no longer request a refund if you withdraw your application since it's at this point you do the biomets.

Castalia: Thanks Vic justice and 3sha4lyf
@3 shall - if it is possible, how is it done? (It's a 6 months visa application)
I would think your sister needs to writ'em to withdraw ur application and request a refund if it's within 100 days, at least that's what they stated on the VAF.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by 3sha4lyf: 12:30am On Sep 27, 2014
Vicjustice: 1) Actually, visa application fee of any category can not be refunded.
2) The "earlier" application is invalid and forfeited
3) You can't do anything about it, you just have to let go. This particular application would have no effect on future applications unless they contradict.
@ 3sha4lyf, i acknowledge your opinion, and I will understand if you disagree with my answers, kindly express your disagreements and the differences would be worked out.
Lol. VicJustice, according to the declaration you sign during application, there is a clause which says that "I understand that the fee payable is for an application processing and entry clearance decision-making service... I also understand that my visa application fee will be refunded only if the application is withdrawn in writing within 3 months and 7 days of the original date of application and prior to submission of biometric data or any processing taking place".

IF this is true, then can't one withdraw an application since [s]he hasn't gone for submission/interview/biometrics?

toluwee: Hello, please since I'm not supposed to make payment for flights before getting visa, how do I get flight itinerary?
Hi, depends on what you need the "flight itinerary" for, concerning your VA. If it's to know the fares and route, you either go to your preferred airline and get a quote for the best route, or you just check their website.

But if it's the itinerary for VA, it's justsaying basically a plan of how you intend to spend the days during your visit in the UK. This you can draft with or without making payment for flight; in anyway, I don't see how both are related.

Hope This Helps.

The main people that will give you problems would be Nigerian immigration. Most people don't get searched in the UK POE

Nellyd: Pls how can a woman that went through cs lose her belly fat?
Give yourself some 5-6 weeks to heal internally.in the mean time Look for a good girdle (I'll find the name of one that is recommended). Get two... One your size and the other one-two sizes smaller.

In the next few months, start with very little exercises like leg raises, until ur comfi in it, then go in for chest press while you lie flat on your back and spread ur hands wide open to touch the floor with about 1-2kg weight and bring back to meet eachother at the middle, hands stil straight...

When you get really comfi, try Jillian Michael's "30 days ripped"... The key is to watch your body. Don't stress it. Let it heal gradually. If and when u start exercising you feel some discomfort, stop and see ur doctor (this can happen if you stress it. Stressing it won't give you the result. It's slow and steady).

og2711: Hello OP.

First off I am a guy but only giving you advice based on what happened with my wife vs a friend.

The battle against post delivery belly fat begins right after birth. Unless you had a cesarian section, you should 'tie' your stomach the day after giving birth in order to prevent the fat from seeping into the stretched skin space. There are different methods of tying (wrapper with plate, girlde etc.) but I'd personally recommend 'belly bandit'. Its very discreet and comes in different sizes- you should have a smaller one for when the stomach starts going down.

If you didn't do this, no wahala. You just need to focus on the second side. EXERCISE. And i do not mean two or three times a week exercise. I mean EVERY DAY. And not just haphazardly. Follow accounts on instagram (mankofit, morellifit etc) that will teach you exactly how to structure your exercise. They have a different regimen for each day of the week, and in some cases of the month. I can tell you in advance that it is not easy and requires dedication, but the results are amazing!! My wife is inspiringly dedicated and she actually has a six pack now (which she didn't have before 2 kids). If you want i can show you before and after pictures...

Lastly is food. You really need to change your eating habits. Follow 'healthyfoodadvice' on instagram for advice on how to change your eating habits. Eba, yam, pastries and our oily soups go out. Wheat bread and flour, LOADS of fruits (best to make smoothies), grilled fish and skinless chicken, brown rice etc in. This is the hardest part because it isnt always easy. Google 'mealprep' for assistance..

I also recommend 'Jilian Michaels'. Her DVD is very good though quite demanding.
Nice one... If you though Jillian Micheals was "quite demanding", you should try Shaun T's "T25" or the "Insanity" or even the "P90x"... And you'll lemme know what u think.
