You will Wait Taya. Nigeria doesn't have the resources to manufacture cars, no metallurgy industry, we even import ready made steel.

...but we can assemble. It is better than going into kidnapping or skull mining just to make money.

Exactly, spot on, Innoson assembles vehicles from CKD kits imported from China. I still think he does a great job. I hope they are making efforts to source more components from Nigeria. However, all the high tech auto parts (gear box, transmission, engine etc) are still from China.
PrecisionFx coman learn grin grin

This is a picture of the rooivak military helicopter assembled by DENEL industries of south-africa.
Its most technical parts including the engines, sensors and avionics were bought from italy and assembled in south africa.
But it is still regarded as a south african vehicle.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denel_Rooivalk

This is exactly the kind of thing i expect the Nigerian government to do. Iinnoson already the facility and manpower.
Buy this technologies for innoson to assemble and then reverse-engineer the parts if possible.
That is how nations grow. That is how china grew. By stealing from the developed world and re-adapting it.

https://themoscowtimes.com/articles/russia-angles-to-snatch-20bln-indian-fighter-jet-deal-from-france-43948

This is india putting forward a 20 billion dollars bid for fighter jet manufacturing countries to assemble in india and hence build an india fighter jet most likely from an adaption. And it seems like Russia won it.

In Nigeria, some people are yapping about how a design is chinese as if their backward forefathers left them technology before they died.

Then why hate on a Nigerian product?
It is not like Nigeria has better technology than what innoson has.
Your best technologies are imported at far greater cost.

You again? I don't hate Innoson I only gave a good marketing insight and you people just crucified me, check my first post.

I don't have issues with Innoson assembling either but you must realize he isn't capitalising on the leverage he has, now Pan and GAC are doing far better
