Same here. I wasn't aware too.

Plz guys, is it too late for me to get a booking for the accommodation and then forward the evidence to the embassy via email?
I submitted on 6th August.

@ICasNG, @Dwebb, @Everyone plz ur suggestion
Re: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by seunny4lif(m): 7:50pm On Sep 08, 2020
Mail your school right away to book a 3 weeks accommodation for you now unless you want them to refuse your application
2 weeks self isolation is required in Ireland

You have within 3 or 4 days to book it

Calm down. How do I go about it, what’s DBS?
Re: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by seunny4lif(m): 8:58pm On Sep 08, 2020
Just contact them about you needing an accommodation because you are required to self isolate for 14 days then you can book 3 weeks or more

Due to covid and a need to restrict your movement for 14 days in Ireland upon arrival, its suggested to have a accommodation reservation included. However, if it wasn't included i won't worry too much unless the Embassy requests for 1.

You should however have a confirmed one at the point of Entry when arriving in Ireland

It should be addressed and couriered to the Irish Embassy in Abuja. I can't determine if it will however be treated in Abuja or in Dublin

Please if you have an accommodation provided by the school do you still have to get a place you'll stay for 14 days?
Re: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by seunny4lif(m): 12:03am On Sep 09, 2020
No unless the room provided by the school is a shared room
