Tomifolake:For you and everybody. Any course IT related is the way to go if you're looking to stay after your studies. Other courses are not bad, but IT is the real deal. They are the kind of guys that get visa sponsorships 1 Like |

richvictor: Data Science or data analysis plays huge role in fintech; However, Data Analysis on its own can be used in different sectors and requires medium to high level of programming and statistical analysis. Fintech on the other hand can be a paid career prospect or entrepreneurial prospect ; it however involves quality and quantity programming skills including machine learning and predictive / behavioural analysis. One important factor to note is that, you won't be taught all you need to know or excel in uni, alot goes into self development. So I won't be able advise on which one you should choose as I/ don't know your programming strengths. Personally, I detest programming so I settled for Business Analysis- covered advanced excel, Mysql, , statistical packages including R ; some schools used SPSS while other universities in the UK zeroed in on SAS and MS-SQL. My point is know your strength and pick based on your passion. 1 Like |

Tomifolake: You have to give a real think about this. Go through the list below and ideally you should be confident you are already qualified or can qualify for one or more of the roles. It is going to be difficult if otherwise. https://dbei.gov.ie/en/What-We-Do/Workplace-and-Skills/Employment-Permits/Employment-Permit-Eligibility/Highly-Skilled-Eligible-Occupations-List/ 2 Likes 1 Share |

richvictor: Not sure what the curriculum of a Masters in Fintech entails as the term Fintech is very broad. Data Analytics on the other hand offers very niche and specialized skills that are in demand. |

Chibabe4Christ: It's mostly European/schenghen states that i know that share info and the Canada-US partnership, asides that, no country will tell you categorically that they source/share info with their counterparts but we know they do. So if you're wondering if you should hide an old refusal or something else from former applications, don't. It has consequences. If you took time to read the thread from the beginning you would have seen cases of people who were denied visas by Canada but got granted by Ireland. Full disclosure and consistency is the way to go, even if you hide stuff and it works this one time, somehow it'll come back to mess things up. So whatever you said in your former application, keep up with it except you have evidence to prove that it was an honest mistake you made. 4 Likes |
