Zero substance.

Doesn't change the fact that the video is fake and there is no credible source behind it.

mr man... not all whites are south african. stop trying to fool yourself. their are other contractors in the country and SA ones are just a handfull of them.

the president also admitted there also are south koreans, czech, ruasians and ukrainians on ground. Nigeria has REVA mk v, so beeg is still right with his sources. he had access to south african PMC beecause he has contacts that can connect him(colonel Eben).

and lastly, SA mercs are old and unfit for combat in such a high intensity war. Iraq was more than 10 years ago.

To Colonel Eben? grin grin grin grin grin grin

Who told SA mercs are old?

Flying sorties at night can easily be done by an experienced 60 year old.

And reports clearly state the mercenaries would wipe hectares of land at night and the NA rolls in to claim the glory in the morning.

In any case lots of young mercenaries are known to have been fighting in Sierra Leone? Why not Nigeria?

Weak argument.

lol... your IQ is quite low my brother.

so a group of mercs were brought in by a contractor/company, and sent to their various AOR. doea that mean the mercs have not been briefed and know what and how many is on ground before being posted? do you even know anything about the military or you just like to keep yourself busy here?

Your attempt to bring in the special task force even proves you are the panicky one. so now we agree your bush war veterans are unfit for combat then. case closed. nice attempt brah... come up with another onegrin.

i wonder how you managed to scale through school. (that's if you went at all)

Listen nice and carefully....

That article is about SA mercs working with a specific group within a specialised unit of the Nigerian Army. Those men are centralized to that specific unit, and are clueless as to numbers, units, weaponery of other PMC in other Nigerian units 100's of kilometers away. No mercenary can confirm or deny numbers. They are mercenaries...not high command.

A 45/50/55 year old man with combat experience and highly skilled is just as deadly as a 20 year old. It is not basic training where you have to be super fit. It is training others on maneuvers, movements, clearing, vehicles... things that dont need a 20 year old body. When/if contact is made Boko Haram dont know the difference between a 50 yr old bullet or 23 year old bullet.

It's simple:

Executive Outcomes is/was a company, which means only one thing:

It's executives's ability to keep getting business means they are able to get the tools of business they need.

One of the tools being men to engage in combat. They did it in Sierra Leone. They are doing it in Nigeria.

Sources of men: SADF, SAPS, even SANDF.

Weak one-track thinking on your side - to be expected though.

Again - a 60 year-old can fly a sortie.

A senior Western diplomat confirmed that the South Africans were playing “a major operational role,” particularly at night. Equipped with night-vision goggles, the mercenaries “are whacking them in the evening hours,” the diplomat said.

no. south african mercs are more composed of SADF and SAPS members who refused to stay in and serve the post apartheid government.

don't come with your white lie of them being members of the AIDS ridden SANDF. you guys are getting deaperate.

again. you are a bloody liar. mike hoare was born in 1920 and made his mark from 1960-64 in congo nefore retiring to civilian life. patches, that is 40-44 years. and he was not trained in SA. he was in the british army and settled in SA after the war.

even at rhe age of 56 he only played an advisory role in the seychelles coup.

your bush war veterans are too old for combat. period. don't try to spin it with your usual lies

So how are they mentored?

They come back and say: "Oga white man, guess what we saw today? Boko haram were like this and like that..."

And the oga white man says: "Go back and do it like this and like that"

Really? In Chris's "high-intensity" war - there is time for that? Rubbish.

Yes but their intelligence and the bullet that comes out of their guns is not old. However, those old Apartheid soldiers have been also secretly recruiting thousands of young white, black and coloured boys particularly whose contract in SANDF were not renewed and further trained them abroad, particularly in Iraq. SA mercenaries have now been rejuvenated with young blood and many do not come from old apartheid forces. Those in Nigeria are suspected to be made of both black and white young men led by more older experienced commanders. The SA institute of security studies has made that report.

Again -

A 60 year old can fly a sortie.

You have advanced no reason as to why that is impossible.

Mental weakling.

And if I were a troll, you wouldn't be engaging me.

By your own President's admission, your men had to be trained on the field because the war is already ongoing. That means only one thing - the South Africans are embedded. The rigmarole of reporting back and getting advice is counter to what your president said anyway.

And by your own admission, this is a high-intensity war - which automatically excludes long-distance advice seeking. It has to be instant.

Again - mental weakling.

IT IS CLEAR THAT THOUSANDS OF CURRENT ACTIVE SOLDIERS IN SANDF HAVE RESIGNED TO JOIN THESE GROUPS IN IRAQ, SO, SA MERCENARIES ARE NOT OLD AS IN 2015. WELL I HAVE TO AGREE THAT THERE ARE SOME WHO ARE OLD BUT THAT NUMBER IS NOT SIGNIFICANT.

Exactly what I am saying - there is more money in mercenary activity and Executive Outcomes and other PMS were/are always on the lookout for the supply of fighters. It follows that some will be tempted as was the case in Iraq. There is more than an adequate supply of young mercenaries.

MMmmmmm!!!

The sources says:

SA Mercenaries in Iraq South Africa has been exposed as one of the world's top exporters of military personnel. 65 South Africans have been jailed in Zimbabwe on charges relating to a foiled coup plot in the oil-rich Equatorial Guinea. Even earlier, in 2002, Executive Outcomes was investigated for contravening the Foreign Military Assistance Act in its activities in Sudan. Executive Outcomes members had formed a company called NFD that was contracted by the Sudanese government to help it protect oil fields in southern Sudan. Just how many South Africans are currently supporting the occupation of Iraq is estimated to be about 4,000. Most have been recruited as bodyguards, security consultants or security guards at salaries ranging up to $12,000 a month. Compared to the R4,500 to R10,000 they would earn in the SAPS, many of these soldiers of plunder have taken leave from the police to go work in Iraq. The Defence Ministry has estimated that 100 former and active duty soldiers from the SANDF have been lured to Iraq by such lucrative rewards. Defence Minister, Mosouia Lekota, said that all but one of these are white men. There has to be many thousands more than 100 SANDF soldiers in Iraq. A recent UN report said South Africa provided the third largest number of security personnel to Iraq. The report says South Africans are willing to work for less money than their British or US counterparts, which makes them cheaper fodder for international companies.
