Try Lufthansa and buy now once you've confirmed your dates.

wahala..the economy is just getting worse and worse...ethiopian airline wch provided affordable flights to usa, is no longer cheap. over 3m naira now for a return flight.
pls who knows of any cheaper way to get to washington or houston area with below 20hrs total flight time that cost less than 2m naira?
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by TripleKMama: 12:02am On Jan 30
But why are u just buying ur ticket now?
Are u the mom or dad?
If mom, then u prioritize comfort and less connecting flights.
If dad, traveling alone, then look for a cheaper route with multiple connecting flights then join with your family's return flights.
Always aim to buy flight tickets well in advance of 10weeks. Thanks.

Hello guys.

Good evening!

My wife is pregnant and we are looking to give birth in the US. Please does anyone have information on hospitals and obgyn one can use in Oklahoma?

We have our visas, which we got before she got pregnant.

We have the usual contacts for Herman Memorial in texas but my brother lives in Oklahoma and so accommodation will be free.

I'll really appreciate any information and/or help which you guys can provide.

An expectant father.

OKLAHOMA, not a popular birthing destination here..
what you could do is google obygys in the zipcode u intend to birth..then pencil down on a couple....find out the hospitals/places they practse......call/email them to find out their fees, and if they are willing to accept your wife and then take it from there. having a visa already makes it so much easier...

hope you have used the visa previously...would make things somewhat easier during renewal

Gdeven my pple
So I went to the interview on Jan 26, 2024 and was rejected the 3rd time. I had my first visa Jan 2014 and I stated birth and appeared very heavy, had another birth ending 2015. then 2nd visa tru drop box in 2016. Drop box for the 3rd visa in 2018 for child birth was returned and we were rejected(hubby , myself and first child) . This was that Trump admin most of those that birthed were refused. We appeared again 2019 and VO refused the 2nd time that it was beyond him. We applied in 2022 and got date Jan 2024 wch we went. VO asked wr we wr going to I said vacation Houston, somehow we landed on the birth matter again and she asked for all receipts and was typing, next she issued the blue paper and said rejection was based on the other 2 rejections. I insisted what was the reason so we address it, she said she is not in the position to guide me.
I wrote to the usatravelsoc email, insisting to know the reason for the rejections as we also don’t intend to migrate illegally as we have good income and UK and Canada visas too. The desk officer kept replying it was based on the blue paper wch is on home and financial ties. I have written d 5th mail and ended it wt the VO did not grant us a fair hearing as she can’t refuse us visas on financial ties wtout asking our source of income or looking at stmts. she is yet to respond ds 5th email
Pls what do u advise we do as some advised immigration lawyer, who knows an affordable lawyer that can handle this if it’ warrants a lawyer
Since then til now, our profile shows passport wt the embassy . Thanks

The VO sighted a subsidized bill which you might not be aware of, and immediately concluded.

So what do we do about the subsidized bills cos for me I showed same bill in 2014 before I was granted visa and the VO advised I pay before travelling to avoid being deported

Pls what do we do, appeared wt hubby and 2kids while 2 kids are citizens

Your bill was heavily subsidised. Find a way to pay the balance.

Rules change. I don't know how you can do this but I know someone has done it here. You can also try to think back to the first rejection. Something must have triggered the refusal. The only thing I can think of is the bill. It is too low for a non citizen. Hopefully experienced mothers will tell you what to do.

6K in LA was heavy heavy heavily subsidized like the previous poster stated. Medi-Cal (California Medicaid) is very easy to bill for these providers who in turn also collect money from y’all.

I live in California and I paid almost 2K (deductible, out of pocket maximum and the rest) with insurance to birth my kids. It’s however not your fault but the fault of these providers looking to earn a quick buck. Sadly, there’s no way to pay back, Medi-Cal probably already paid on that claim.

Paying 6K in a state as expensive as California is probably what triggered the VO. Maybe give it a year or two and try again. All the best ♥️♥️

some pple telling me to use immigration lawyer,
Who knows an affordable one.
So why can’t they tell us to go pay and open an account since then as hospital refused to collect any balance and claimed they didn’t collect any medicaid, not as if I knew about discounts before all these saga
I have been doing mails and the desk officer responding has been claiming is on sec 214(b) refusal paper I was given and am like the VO never asked about home ties and financial status

Airport Transit Visa:
Passengers of Nigeria nationality may require an airport visa to transit via Germany when travelling between Nigeria and the United States and vice versa. Please check the requirements before travelling.

I really doubt it has anything to do with how much you paid, if you check previous posts especially regarding El Paso fees, majority of people who were denied under Trump's Era were eventually granted visa's subsequently.

There are so many countries to explore and make memories it does not have to be the USA, if it really has to be the USA maybe get an immigration lawyer, they can find out what the government has on you.

Hello all, please kindly advise on the best store to shop for diapers, wipes and formula. Do we use Costco or Sam’s club. Any other store would be well appreciated.

Also, any recommendation On shipping these items to Nigeria will be well appreciated

Amazon for water wipes they have great deals on water wipes, formula and diapers too & Sam’s club for their members mark unscented wipes
Shipping depends on state and mode of shipping, heavy items should go by ocean and it takes 12 weeks from other states but from newyork and neighboring states it’s about 6/8 weeks.

Just saw this and it reminded me of this forum. It’s good to be truthful about our intentions and have enough money to cover the cost of birth. This lady was turned back at Detroit Airport.

Apologies but I’m sure she’s dumb in real life because the lies didn’t even add up one single bit even a baby will see through her lie. Husband was allowed in and she was sent back.
Talking about doctor said I’m 25 weeks but me I’m sure I’m 16 weeks 😂. If she was smart she wouldn’t have shown any paper contradicting her statement, her lies were too glaring, the $10k check too they said they’re not sure money is there
