Actually a mixture of booers from both sections(I really need to know the meaning of the dream as I neither thought of AW nor read about him before going to bed)

The dream means wenGAY is mad, for running alone on the field. The laughing part were just having fun at a mad mans expense

while the booing part were ashamed at what an icon of the EPL has turned into

In both cases it means wenGAY remain trophyless once again

The dream means Arsenal were disgraced at Anfield. While Arsenal's booed Wenger the Liverpudians laugh at him

Tow nights ago I had a dream about AW and Liverpool,I've spent the past 24 hrs trying to figure out the meaning but could not,hence I'm throwing the dream on this thread for Dayo and any other dream interpreters to tell me the meaning.

I was in a dream(seriously) and we were at Anfield,with the stands occupied by fans of The Arsenal and Liverpoool,however there was no single footballer on the pitch,[b]only AW was on the pitch and he wore the scousers shorts and jersey and was running from one half of the pitch to the other.[/b]Some section of the stand would applaud him every now and then,while some othersection would boo him loudly to which he would respond by facing the booing section and rub his palm from his chest down his stomach,as if to tell them to relax.

What does this all mean

Arsène Wenger has revealed that the keeper who starts against Liverpool on Sunday will be Arsenal's No 1.

At the start of pre-season the manager laid down the gauntlet to his four stoppers, stating that the place was up for grabs.

Manuel Almunia, Lukasz Fabianski, Vito Mannone and Wojciech Szczesny have all featured in friendlies this summer and Arsenal fans are close to finding out who will be the Gunners' No 1.

"The goalkeepers are great, all ready to play," said Wenger ahead of the trip to Liverpool. "I just wait for my decision and you will get it soon.

"The guy who plays on Sunday will be No 1. It is never for definite but it will be a consequence of what I have seen in pre-season."

However, the manager has admitted that handing the gloves to Szczesny would be a 'great gamble'.

"He has not played one game in the Premier League," he said. "I believe he has huge quality but I believe it would be a great gamble to play him.

"Man United play with a goalkeeper who is 40 years old and Chelsea with a keeper with seven years in the Premier League. You need experience at the back."

That means Almunia would be number one. Can you start preparing for another trophyless season?

To supporters of the 'lean squad' policy, now we have only ONE fit CB in the side. . . .so much for the sense in letting loose 4 CBs at once.  

With more men we still couldn't create any meaningful chances and Wilshere's error for the goal (as well as Almunia's failure to stop the shot) shows we are still in need of reinforcements.

In the cold light of day, a point from Anfield is not a bad result, but given the circumstances it is an abysmal result.

Interesting ability he is adding to his locker, quite an impressive attempt I must say. Theo works hard, I can't fault him for his hard work, its only his ability I question but if he develops other aspects of his game it can only benefit him.

thats the only area i see that Walcott really improved in. incase u have forgotten Theo is also an arsenal player therefore any of the players on the field who takes freekick well is allowed to take.

As for lack of chances, I can only attribute that to Chamakh not yet well blended with the team. RVP and Cesc starting would have created more chances IMO. As the season progresses we'l solve that problem upfront.

Also, what's the use of buying a striker who can properly head the ball when we don't have people who can cross the ball? The only proper cross we had today resulted in the goal.

If you have clear flaws and refuse to fix them, why won't you be blamed? Arsene is being judged because he's SOLD 4 players without replacing them. That is a joke of a situation to be in.

Chamakh struggled, but Koscielny was ok. . . . .it's still to early to judge the signings. It is, however, disappointing to fail to create significantly despite facing 10 men for a long stretch. What happens next week? We might end up playing Song at CB, possibly leaving us exposed again.

The fault was Wilshere's, but more importantly it was Wenger's for starting him in a game of this caliber. It was a completely unnecessary risk.

A point in the end is not a bad result, but we cannot afford many performances like this.

Sort it out - get the CB and a GK, and possibly a DM too.

Granted, but not when you play a team for 45+ minutes with 9 or 10 men. For a club like Arsenal, to create so few chances is a big cause for concern.

That's a tad hasty - he didn't have a good game, but a number of others didn't either. AA23 admitted that he's struggling for form, so he will get better. I can imagine some paranoid Gooners would be up in arms against Wenger if we lost/drew with AA23 off the field, especially at Anfield.

He's being doing that for the last 12 months now, plus he's not producing in the final third. . . . better sell him back to the Russians while you can still get £20m for him. . . .

I disagree - he still holds significant goal threat and scored 12 goals last season. He ended the season injured, so he'll be getting back up to speed as the games continue.

Almunia did ok apart from the goal and even that could be argued to be a very hard shot.

Koscielny was decent - the first yellow he got wasn't anything worse than what Gerrard got away with in the first half, and the sending off was laughable. . . .that handball was innocuous, compared to one by Ngog that didn't get any response from the ref.

As for Wilshere, putting him in a game of this magnitude was a wrong idea, he needs to be broken in gently and not thrown in the deep end.

Now with LK out of the next game, we'll be scrambling to get JD fit or end up playing Song there.

Almunia did Ok?What with his indecisiveness when it comes to dealing with crosses?Yeah he is a good shot stopper but Almunia is at best a 2nd choice keeper.Believe me,he can do better than "slouch" at that shot that resulted in a goal.

How can he look sharp playing ahead of conservative midfielders?I dare say there was no single through pass from any of Wilshere,Diaby and Nasri.Neither was there a decent cross into the eighteen by any of our player.

He did OK having in mind it was his first game.I was impressed particularly by his marking of Torres when he was charged at twice by the latter.And isn't it high time we get rid of this "softie" attitude amongst our lads.The red was ludicrous too.

Thing is,i do not expect Wenger to come out and admit we are dire in the area of GK.For him to have bidded for Schwarzer as early as May is an indication he is looking to rectify it.Almunia and Fabianski should be cremated and their remains shot into space.

Almunia had 'super saves'?

Well said HNIC, now the game is over and done with, we'll see if Wenger moves this week. One point from Anfield is an ok return.

As for Almunia, I still feel he did ok - he flapped at a cross yes, but overall it was a decent performance. Even the goal was a fierce shot. . .we know Manuel usually slouches so nothing new there. Make him a 2nd choice GK and we'll be fine.

The prime reason for this result was that the team lacked fluency in attack - we barely created chances. That will improve, but we need to also fix the aspects that are unlikely to improve, GK and CB. With Koscielny suspended for the next game, I don't know if JD or Song would be fit, so we might be pushing Nordveit into his own EPL debut.

Everyone played well except Arshavin? Our performance today can only be termed mediocre.This is the first Arsenal match i've watched in a long while and i switched channel.We were so predictable,narrow and clueless until the introduction of Rozzi and Walcott.
And if you call what Almunia did "super saves",Hart must be a celestial being then.
