But be rest assured ma... It will end in praise. Congratulations to you all @mosbiod, QSola, Ethelia, Adlib007,  kendulala and Oreo123, @dereI, @dappydappa,@ Bonnie1, @glitteringstar(on behalf of your mum) . @happytbaby @Thecanadiandrm

Guys its 3:40 am now. Hubby said he felt somehow and needed to check his email. I told him to sleep. Well, he checked and showed me a PPR mail. 39 days post AOR on the dot. We asked God for 45 days max for processing before we sent our application and he did it in less than that. I couldn't help myself i started laughing and crying at the same time. Surely, there is a God somewhere. Will tell my soon. Let me continue with my worship because i can't sleep again.

Hallelujah! Congratulations...

That is ehn,, this current employer reference letter thing.. I procrastinated, strategized, studied my boss'mood, prayed.. Just to go ask for reference letter... Even considered asking a colleague instead... I finally met my boss.. He gave me the letter after asking the main boss.. But ever since then he's picked on any little thing I do.. Lol.. Can't help but think it's cos I'd be leaving soon.. Hehehe..God help us.. All the best in our journeys.. AOR July 1st.

Haha, I wish. Thanks. For me the challenge is getting a reference letter from current employer and still keep my job. Funny how everything else went smoothly. Found a work around though, hopefully it works and I can finally submit by month end.

How about you, submitted? It will end in praise grin

i used E2 language to prepare and while writing my essay which was an interesting topic to me. I used these phrases, "This essay will discuss" and at the conclusion, "This essay has successfully discussed... Now these were Jay's mode...bikonu do u guys think that i was marked down because i used someone's words? Although i have applied for EOR but the wait is killing and i am considering taking another test before i loose my listening and reading skills. If jay's method is wrong, how can i get the final touchup in writing to get atleast a 7. Infact i am also considering using a physical tutor in Abuja here.
wait for the EOR outcome but if you have money to spare , then register for another test and focus more on ur writing , but I think waiting is your best option for now. I sent you a pm

Congrats to all PPR recipients. Pls I need some explanations. While filling my application pre-ita I chose that I have an uncle who is a citizen, post ITA, they are requesting I upload his proof of citizenship and proof of relationship. I thought I can only do this if I claimed points for having a sibling. How can I prove our relationship as my father's sibling?

Great you have gotten a work-around the hurdle.

On my end, everything is set to roll but for medicals which I'm purposely delaying till next week so as to achieve a mid-July 2019 summer landing grin in time for the kids' school Sept resumption over there by God's grace.

cheromel:
So after much worshipping i decided to get some sleep and then come back to share my testimony.

Started this journey last year after a cousin told us about EE and how hubby and i were qualified to apply since we are still in our early thirties. I already had a UK masters degree and hubby was about to round up his own. We started saving up for POF, wrote IELTS once in February and both came out in flying colours. Once hubby rounded up his masters we had our evaluation done with WES. We decided that hubby be the PA because the company he works for has a strong online presence. Document gathering wasn't difficult and we got all letters in CIC format So here is our timeline.
CRS: 461
ITA: May 23rd
AOR: May 28th
MEP/IP1: June 8th
RPRF request: June 26th
Paid and uploaded RPRF: June 29th
IP2: July 6th
PPR: July 6th(saw the mail at 3:40am today)

A few things to note: Hubby and I have an extensive travel history so we filled a travel history form upfront.
I have also had 2 visa denials so i filled a schedule A upfront. Hubby has no visa denials.

LOE's: One to explain the Visa denials for me and the second one to explain that hubbys masters degree was obtained via correspondence( Distance program)

All my documents including my passport are in my maiden name.

POF: Hubbys savings account. We also attached his payslips for 6 months and his salary account showing the movement of funds from his salary account to his savings account.

Filling of personal history: Hubby and i didnt include our Bsc degree in it because it was over ten years ago and we didnt evaluate it so didnt see the need. The only place i mentioned it was in schedule A.

We just made sure we were honest in our application, filled it, said a prayer telling God exactly how we wanted our application to go and he did it. I return all glory to him.
Even though I'm a silent reader, i benefitted alot from the thread and the contributions here are invaluable. Special thanks to all our contributors Glitteringstar, Newmum et al. God bless u all immensely. For all the PPR hopefuls, your testimony is sure.

Congratulations

@Xtosync: have you had your interview? How did it go?

One big family we are. Surprised someone remembered me. Feeling good about it. You are blessed @happytbaby. I don turn to silent mode.

As for interview - Not yet o. Still waiting for the invite. Mails to London and Accra confirmed the scheduled interview to be held either in Lagos or Accra. I was advised to wait, that they will get in touch SOON. cool

I have resigned myself to faith. Silently praying for them to take all the time they need. Once I crossed the 8months mark, I just took overdose of the chill pill grin atleast let me do another medicals, make I for get till next year to move. As am so busy now with "Acada" things. God will turn it all around for my good.

I see the pages are running so fast now. Can barely catch up. Congrats to all PPR choppers.

Congratulations. May the land yield it's increase to you.

My Dear People of Canada with temporary residence in Nigeria, good morning. The ministry is moving to the permanent site and we will all get there.

I have not been able to read all the good wishes but I have been told offline that people are waiting so I must say something. I had initially decided that I was not going to announce PPR here but when people kept praying for me everyday I realized it would not be fair to allow you guys continue a prayer that has been answered. Thank you all for the love.

There was nothing special about my application, ECA took 8 months because my University was closed down for a year. My 'boti' Hubby had to go there and spent three days in my 'bush school' sorting it out.

IELTS was easy for us, I didn't even realize it could be an issue until I got to Nairaland and saw what people were going through. I spent five days on the move preparing for it but I made sure I did all the practice tests provided by BC, I also recorded myself speaking and sent to hubby to criticize.

Application from AOR to PPR took 6 months and two days. I will not be providing specific dates. There was an ADR for travel history (we are both ajalas).

Ordered GCMS and got it about 3 months into the application, all was fine. I just knew LVO was not touching it. Nothing was wrong.

I am that spouse that does not want to relocate, I am sure a lot of people will be surprised considering how active I am here. I just want to encourage everyone to take decisions with logic and not emotions. Emotionally, I cannot leave this place, my support system is here, I know my way around here. However, logic tells me that the fundamentals are not adding up, emerging countries do not become developed by miracle, there are certain things that must be in place and we simply do not have those things.

So, when Hubby came up with this idea (now he has cold feet...lol), I said okay if that is what you want to do I will support you. I took it and ran with it, my first port of call was Nairaland, over the last 11 years, I have browsed Nairaland for information on major projects in my life, the wealth of information is amazing. Seun's brain child is amazing. I have made amazing real life friends on this forum.

So what do I have to offer to the house? Advice to people that have not submitted their applications is, be detailed, if something does not seem apparent; explain it. Newmum0615 does NOCs; I do LOEs but LOEs have to be taken offline because specific details of people's lives are in it.

I am a project person, after I complete a project, I move on to the next. After some months I may not be so active here again but if anyone sends me a PM, I will respond.

Need to go now before I start crying, I will respond to all the love you guys have shown me when I get a moment. Love you all.

P.S: Special thanks to Muchaio, Mrsbee and Toygirl, they probably don't come here anymore but they answered all my stupid questions. Although they were my people before we ever dreamed of Express Entry; they are the reason I never really asked any questions here.

Dear all,
please I am new to this forum and I want advise as I s
I am 35yrs old
My wife is 34 yrs old
I work for an audit firm (salary is just there)
My wife has an OND and HND degree
My wife works for an indigenous upstream oil firm (Salary is very encouraging)
Here comes the poser....due to financial and economic considerations,i am considering migrating alone, then after settling down very well,my wife and kids can now join me...so I have come up with these 2 options

option 1...apply for PR as a sole applicant
option 2...apply for PR together with my wife and 2 kids
Abeg Nairaland community....make una advise me
Option 2 is kinda better because your wife is younger, she gets additional 5points as a result of age and she will get 2 or more certificate after evaluation because of her OND and HND. she should score atleast 8777 in LWRS IELTS. Doing alone is an option too and you get evaluated as single but they will all do medical and your wife will get her PCC...above all, "I think" you will still be asked to show funds for 4 people. So my man, go for option two. Best of Luck.

It is apparent that the good Lord has opened the flood Gates of Heaven for PPR to rain massively in this month of perfection.

Big congratulations to @DereI @bonnie1 @happytbaby @Thecanadiandrm @dappydappa @Adlib07 @cheromel @fizzywah and others. May the Lord that made it possible for you guys make it possible and quick for the rest of us.

@dappydappa, na u biko! IELTS for good 8 times? I'd taken a chill pill on this matter after my 3rd attempt didn't turn out fantastic but after reading your testimony and with the little chit-chat with @newmum0615 yesterday, I've received strength and sense to restrategize and keep the ball rolling again.

@newmum0615, patience is indeed a virtue. I'm sure we shall celebrate with you next week by God's grace.

BTW, where is @canadianfly? I've really missed her on here.
