Hello House, I need the advice of every Wonderful members reading this. God bless you all on your advice: Am just about apply for skill assessment with Engineers Australia. My Profile: Am 38 years old and have 11 years experience as Maintenance Manager in a Manufacturing company. Also have Bachelors & Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering. My job description relates to the Occupation-Engineering Manager. Questions : 1)Do you advice me to nominate my skill as Professional Engineer or Engineering Manager? 2)Does nominating my skill as Engineering Manager affect a getting job when i arrive in Australia? I am willing to work as an Engineer or Technician in Australia since am a hands-on person on my current job despite being a Manager. I join my technicians to work with our hands on machines. Personally i also believe it will be difficult for a black man to work as a Manager or Head of Maintenance among whites in Australia but i dont mind working as a Technician or Engineer Pls advice me. |

Please house, getting a new passport here after grant and updating DHA about it and flying down to Australia and getting a new passport in Brisbane, which is better? I read somewhere that after grant notification, updating DHA about a new passport takes them months to reply? Please, who has ever tried this? How long does it take? |

Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by bligs: 5:52am On Dec 06, 2019 |
diggy4real:Doubt if you can renew your passport in Brisbane, the only place i am aware of in Australia is Nigeria High Commission in Canberra and the process is seamless, call or mail them and you will be told what to do and book a date for your biometric capture, you get your passport on the same day. Regarding contacting DHA to update your passport isn't necessary, and if there's need for that, DHA will mail and give you a duration to provide your new passport. |

bligs: Thank you for your response. I think the question should have been how easy is it getting a response from DHA after grant on a new passport since one can’t travel with a passport that has a validity that is less than 6months? |

Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Bnimz(m): 6:44pm On Dec 07, 2019 |
opkv1:Proving relationship is a real headache when you are not yet married o... The CO will generally expect to see evidence that you guys have been living together for at least a year, pictures of joint social activities especially with other people involved, records of communication like call records, emails/chat, etc... In short, you have to prove that your lives are intertwined, like, its not just one ordinary relationship 1 Like |

Hello All, I'm new here and I need to make some clarifications. I intend applying as a management consultant, however, I need to reconfirm somethings. When I upload all my documents to VETASSESS, does my school still need to forward their own copies of certificate and transcripts directly to them also? If yes, which of the processes comes first, do I have to approach my school before I start my online application for assessment. Secondly, from the document I have, the online application is AUD $880.00 and it is to be paid in AUD. Please how do I make the payment in AUD? If I have to do a transfer, must it be from an account in my name? I look forward to your response. I'd also appreciate if someone with a positive assessment in same field can reach me. Thanks |

You can also add affidavit.Your friend and hers as well as any of your parents can swear an affidavit, stating when you met,how long the rship has been and your intention of getting married. That was what a friend used but they were already married and it was not up to a year,so the CO wanted to be sure that the marriage is genuine and that they have been dating for a long time b4 getting married. You have been texting her for a long time now aren't you? Start gathering people to snap pictures with her involve and send your text messages with dates attached also. After you have done all of those, you may have to accompanied it with a letter. Make person no use burukutu scatter your champagne oOo. Na just setback, E go come. Your school must certify a coloured copy of your certificate and both the transcript and certified copy of your certificate must be sent by your school. It is better you instruct your school to send first because as you know schools in Nigeria like taking their time. You can use your bank card or you can pay through people in Australia. I used Austransaction. You can google him. Pinkiejay: 2 Likes |

Good day guys. Sorry for the long postI need to ask for the advice from anyone that applied for another visa type even when you have already submitted one earlier one. I intend to apply for a 190 visa although I’m awaiting a 489 visa grant that I submitted over 6months now. I tried creating a new immiaccount to begin this new visa application and submit afterwards. I humbly request to ask these few questions 1) Should I have created a new immiaccount or still continued with the immiaccount of my almost completed 489 visa ? 2) from your past experiences, will my creating this new visa application start from the beginning as regards processing time? Or will DHA continue with the initial documentation of my 489 visa 3) Will I and my family have to do book another appointment for medicals? |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by tunlex01(m): 3:32am On Dec 13, 2019 |
tomifizi: 1. You could have continued with the initial immiaccount. 2. Yes, processing time for each visa class are different. DHA will not continue. You could be lucky both applications will be treated together 3. you can select that you did medicals within the last 12 months and provide details of your e-medical while filling d form. Note that if your 190 visa is granted before 489, then 190 becomes invalid and 489 becomes the valid visa. Best of luck. 1 Like |

omabetter:You are good to go. If you also can go for trade occupations to be assessed by TRA, that will be better as the requirements for IT and Engineering professionals are not favourable in recent times. |
