you are so right. the water of ijebu garri is like wine of the gods. it has this unique taste that cant be found anywhere else. God! great minds think alike!

I love to smoke it with Peak Milk and coconut. The only reason why I don't do it frequently is there is always sand (lots of it) in the gari I buy from African stores. . . I really don't know why because I used to process gari back in the days and there's no stage where sand comes in. . . perhaps they are pouring sand to increase the quantity?

For sand in your garri

just put the garri in the bowl of water and tranfer the top garri to another bowl before smoking,I've had the sandy experience too,it is most annoying to be chewing away and get that annoying crunchy sound of a foreign body in the garri.
It just spoils the whole garri experience and leaves you chewing lightly next time to avoid a repeat.
