Bishop4real: The courts are not under anyone's control and bail is the sole discretion of the courts. Not even Buhari can order the courts to grant a person bail. Saying that someone or some people influenced Justice Nyako to release Kanu is an insult to the court. As for python dance, the military were spot on! No military, the world over, will sit back & watch nonentities & miscreants threaten her sovereignty. Who told you they were not armed? So, only guns qualify as "arms" to you, akwaya? Matchets, dangerous sticks, stones etc are not abi? With the intelligence reports available to the military, IPOB were armed & had plans to further get arms. The cache of arms confiscated thereafter at the ports is not a coincidence especially when they were traced to have come from Turkey. Hope you've not forgotten you fake Turkish diplomat that claimed to be assisting IPOB? Why did he disappear from the scene as soon as those arms were ceased? This is just backward African mentality. It is not possible for an unarmed group to threaten the sovereignty of a country. Only an armed group can do that because only an armed organisation can fight a war. Sticks, stones and matchets are are not what people use in fighting a war. But there is another question that is to be asked. How come nobody ever saw IPOB with any stick or stone before operation Python dance? If nobody ever saw IPOB with any sort of arms, why was the Army drafted to go to a place where no violence or armed struggle existed? We have armed groups in the NW, SS and middle belt that are killing people daily, why was the military sent to the SE where no armed group existed, nobody was being killed or properties being destroyed? The reality is that the military went to a peaceful place to cause trouble and kill people and the people reacted by laying their hands on what they could find to defend themselves. The military should only go to a place where there is already trouble, not go to a place and trouble starts. This was all about using military force to stifle voices of dissent and such a thing is not permitted in a democracy. To this day, none of the security agencies has come out to say that IPOB has guns. The so called guns seized at the ports is not even an issue because such has been happening even before there was IPOB. To say that the guns seized were for IPOB is just mere speculation. Funnily enough, the guns that were seized were even pump action rifles which any Nigerian adult can apply to the police to hold under license. As I said before, operation Python dance was just all about silencing voices of dissent with military force in a democracy. It was state sponsored terrorism 4 Likes 1 Share |

Christistruth00: don't u get it if u read the link in Wikipedia when ojukwu agreed to the confederation was when Biafra was being formed there were peace talks at Aburi and there Biafra was agreed to be a confederation ( there wasn't meant to be a war) but Gowon went back on his word and gave some silly accusations ( guess he didn't understand what a confederation meant) and started a fight tryna force back Biafra into Nigeria going against his word and the agreement and forcing the right hand man to surrender so it was like UK made an agreement with Scotland that it will be a confederation with them and then attacked Scotland took away all their military and power and said we are now a federation but that to me and kanu is BS Biafra is a confederation with Nigeria fork it |

marvinsync: Kanu told lots of lies to gain attention. He told the Igbos vis-a-vis Biafrans what they wanted to hear & not what they should hear. Pure propaganda!!! Amongst his various lies include: (1) He lied about the legal status of IPOB. Do you know that the only two directors of IPOB according to the official registration documents with UK house office are foreigners: one Takashi Nyathi, a Zimbabwean & Sophia Kalu, a South African. Does Sophia Kalu sound south African to you? Even if it does, why would foreigners be directors of an organization supposedly meant to restore Biafra? No single Biafran director?!!! (2) Kanu claimed he was never for "Biafra anutara na tea" in reference to his rejection of referendum. He castigated Uwazuruike & all who chose referendum as an option. Today, who is championing referendum? (3) He swore never to leave Kuje without his "men" but you & I know how he left at the slightest opportunity without them (4) He lied that PMB is dead & that one Jubril from Sudan is in charge. Now, if I may ask, who did Trump meet in white house: PMB or Jubril? Some of his sweet nonsense include: (1) Biafra is 95% achieved (2) He will go to Abuja & return with PMB's head (3) That he is whiter than white (4) That he has what it takes to dismantle & dismember Nigeria And many more... Yes, IPOB will fail if they continue the way they are going. In fact they have started failing already. So, I'm not surprised that they are hurriedly trying to engage in peace talks with Ohanaeze_Ndigbo. There are two major ways to self determination: (1) By arm confrontation/war (2) Peaceful means through referendum Even though Kanu & IPOB did the initial gra gra of threatening war as their means of restoring Biafra, it dawned on them that they don't have what it takes to see such dream through. They now reverted to a more civil approach, referendum. But the question remains, how are they going about it? For a better understanding of what referendum is all about, please let the IPOB hierarchy provide answers to these questions: (1) Who calls for referendum? (2) Who conducts it? (3) Who validates the result by accepting or rejecting it? (4) What's the role of UN in referendum? (5) Why did the two referenda by Catalonia fail but the only one by South Sudan succeded? After providing answers to above questions, then confirm if IPOB's stance on elections in Nigeria is in the best interest of Biafra restoration. From there, we can continue with further discussion on the Biafran question. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Bishop4real: did i mention break of sovereignty? did i talk of dividing a nation? is creating a region not unity? did the British not divide its colony into 3? did nature not partition this country into 3? in 1951 Igbos voted an Efik man as PM of Eastern region, despite being the majority. in 1954 Zik asked the British Lt. Govr. to disolve the parliament. he pulled down Prof. Eyo Ita and became PM, then moved the capital from Calabar to Enugu. there would have been embassies and functional seaport in Calabar today, the reason Tinapa failed. aren't tired of our people risking their lives on the roads to Lagos and Abuja to board flights or obtain visas. there are flights to so many countries from the airports in Barcelona and Erbil |

marvinsync: So the best way a "brave warrior" could defend himself was by forming human shield in form of crowd? Crowds can gather for whatever reason but does that translate to followership? Hell No!!! What you term "eye opening" is simply brainwashing borne out of sustained propaganda. What did Kanu do that has never been done by his predecessors? The only difference is that now, means of communication has improved tremendously. Take online outlets for example, their impact can't be overemphasized! 2 Likes 1 Share |

Bishop4real: The reason why there is no progress in the Drak area aka Nigger Area (NIGERIA). So you are privy to classified info and are also the expert in human rights? Let me first of all tell you that no SERIOUS nation will be engaged in military operations all over their so-called nation in a DEMOCRACY. No serious nation would ever allow a COUP Plotter to lead them in a democracy. But of course in a Nigger Area you can deploy your ARMY to a village to wrestle and harass civilians that you already feel are nonentities and jobless youths and feel you are strong, yet in the face of small rag tag force like Boko Haram your nyash is being kicked like The way Messi scored on una... Biafra is here to stay, while folks like you cant after all this while figure out how to develop your own Odud....oops nation |

GreenCap: Is IPOB asking for regional autonomy or total breakaway from Nigeria to have a sovereign state of Biafra? Yes, Biafra or SE or SS or whatever they may chose to call themselves can be granted some level of autonomy within Nigeria. However, such autonomy must not undermine the sovereignty of Nigeria at large. As for ports, I know Onne Port is up & running. Is it FGN that will chose port of discharge/destination for importers? Has any importer told you he can't bring in goods through any of the about three ports in Rivers State? 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Bishop4real: now I don't know why a Biafran wasn't a director and frankly no one cared and I don't know about whether buhari is alive or dead but I know u can't prove kanu was wrong or do u believe the rat at aso rock incident and as for the referendum the reason kanu didn't do it is in those questions u asked for there to be a referendum the FG has to acknowledge the possibility of Biafra existing that is saying " if I win the referendum we stay together ,if I lose Nigeria splits " and as far as the FG is concerned and like they said Nigeria splitting is not an option so there would be no answer to ur questions on referendum |

Bishop4real: it's like ur creating forced arguments here he wasn't creating a human shield they were his followers and u say crowds can gather for whatever reason through in the case of buhari's campaign in the east crowds can gather for whatever reason but in the case of kanu why would a crowd gather for like u say average joe like kanu for money? they have ntn better to do? can u raise a crowd like that from thin air? is the amount of followers kanu has really a topic here? now u keep insisting that kanu is brainwashing us but who are u to decide that ? do u know us ? do u know how we feel ? how much Igbo blood that has been shed b4 and after the war ? the things the Igbo have been through ? tell me is there a tribe in this country that have been through sh!t like we have? kanu has done what no one else has done ever since the war massob has been here for how long who know them? |
