For the Men:
You are 'in love' with two girls and they both would like to marry you. One of them is a virgin and has sworn not to have sex with anybody before marriage, including you. The other has done it with previous boyfriend(s) and is happy to do it with you. In all other respects, the two girls are exactly alike. Which one would you marry?

For the Women:
Two realy close male friends are proposing marriage to you. They are exactly alike except that one of them doesn't believe in premarital sex and would not 'do it' with you until you're married. The other one has done it with other girl(s) and is ready to do it with you if you'll allow it. Which marriage proposal would you accept?

Please login and vote in the poll attached to this topic. Thanks.

Sexual compatibility is a very very important part of marriage. How will you know if you are sexually compatible if you don't have sex?

First of all, jogego and obong (the anti-virginity campaigners grin) are both based abroad, so they might have been influenced by western cultures.

Secondly, as a virgin you can always get disvirgined any time you like, but someone who is not a virgin cannot 'take back' her virginity. So think it is better to hold on to it and give yourself the opportunity of a future with both the men who prefer virgins and the men who claim that they don't. it is better to keep your options open!

For goodness' sake, what is the meaning of this "sexual compatibility" you keep talking about? As long as the husband's body is complete and the wife's body is complete and they know what they need to do to get the pleasure they are looking for, they are sexually compatible. Please stop spreading this dangerous myth of sexual compatibility. I've had enough![/s]
I have changed my mind. Sexual compatibility is real.

@Seun that is a very biased and unfair comment. You dont know if I started livinig abroad last week or last month or last year. For the record, I grew up in Lagos and had most of my schooling in Lagos and I actually spent a couple of years working in Nigeria b4 relocating and so I am not being influenced by your so called western ideas. We are all entitled to our own opinions, and I re iterate, that I would never marry a virgin. All to his own. And since you are not experienced, kindly take it from someone who is. Sexual compatibility is not a joke and the fact that two people love each other does not mean they must blend in bed. There are various sexual preferences and tastes and while some people are adventurous sexually, a number of people are quite docile. Imagine what happens when a docile person marries anadventurous person. You think things would work out?

@ Seun since you never concede a point unless its documented, kindly visit the following pages.

http://divorcesupport.about.com/cs/sexualissues/a/sexualcompatibi.htm

you can try out the polls pages and see what your scores would be. And I think you need to look for a copy of the McKinsey report on sexuality and read it.

Virgins are very wonderful beings to glue to. I am of the opinion that virgin ladies make better and sexually trustworthy wives than the 'disrupted' ones.

Sex is a flaming fire that never dies down. Once one ventures into it, he/she is bound to long for more. A deflowered girl can hardly stop asking for more unless God's does a profound miracle; because of her urge for 'variety' , her husband would suffer much infidelity. I am not saying virgins are excluded from this misdaemenour, but theirs is reduced.

jogego: Imagine what happens when a docile person marries anadventurous person. You think things would work out?

When a docile person meets an adventurous person, they will communicate their preferences to each other, evaluate the similarities and differences in their tastes, and negotiate for a mutually agreeable resolution. It's not only in the bedroom that, as a married person, you sometimes have to try something new just to please your partner.

And nothing stops people who are planning to get married from openly discussing their preferences before marriage. Nothing stops you a young man from saying, "my dear, I am wild o. I have been watching these dirty films, and I want to reproduce all their stunts in our bedroom when we get married. What do you think?" And if she says, "over my dead body; we only need to make lov when we're trying to have children" then you know you have a problem.

Let's face it, a virgin cannot instantaneously become too wild and adventurous for his wife to adjust to if her first night is also his first night. Let both of them learn together, and together let them become as wild or docile as they want to be. Simple communication is the answer, not premarital sex![/s]

Update on 11th September 2015: I believe in safe premarital sex now.

Seun, you by your own admissions know very little about this. Take it from someone who is a bit more exprienced in this field, IT IS NOT A MYTH.

almost anyone who has had more than one sexual encounter will be able to tell you this.

Sexual Compatibility is one of a number of factors that can make or break a marriage. And no amount of talking about it or communicating will alter someones drive or fetishes or whatever. (unless you start using drugs!)

Since you are self admittedly not into sex stop educating people who actually do it about what is real and what is not.

Vieira, you are also based abroad. Cheap shot, I know, but I am on a mission to 'defend the virgins' wink.

Are you married? Is jogego married? Is obong married? So you are just as inexperienced as I am, really. You do not have any evidence to show that premarital sex youre enjoying today will improve your marriage in the future. For all you know, you might get married and find out that you and your partner are 'incompatible' in spite of all that premarital lovemaking.

There are married people on this forum, and they will be in a better position to enlighten us, if we are able to pose the question to them in the right way.

emmm, coolhow can you be 120% sure am not married? How do you know Vieria or Obong are not married? tongue abegiiii just take if from people who have experience jare. Its like saying that a person who has not been to medical school should be practising medicine. That one na Quack paraku so follow Vieria's advice jare

This is to serve a warning for ladies who engage in premarital sex with their supposed husband-to-be. A guy's sexual composure is such that he refrains from particular fannies after much rounds. Ladies, in the view of a guy, gets stale after much sex. Premarital sex does not make a harmony or substantiate a relationship.

If jogego and Vieira were married, they would have said so in their last posts. Please, let's be straightforward on the forum so we can learn from each other and not confuse each other! Let the 3 of us wait for the married people before dropping further comments!

Einstein: Ladies, in the view of a guy, gets stale after much sex.
A well documented behaviour pattern. Eistein, thanks for being on the side of the virgins! tongue

you have already assumed that I am a single guy!

oh well.

I've been reading the comments on this topic and they're all pretty deep ,in my opinion I would love to marry a Virgin ,but it has be one who is pretty open sexually, concerning the whole concept of compatibilty is very real and is a factor that should be considered b4 marraige.. I will also have no qualms if I marry someone who's not a virgin.

The assertion that virgins make better sexually growing marriages does not outrightly annuls the welcomed idea that deflowered girls could make good homes. What matters, aside the issue of compatibility, is open expressions and understanding of human differences before marriage. If the two concerned parties can cope with past lives and be willing to adjust, life could be beautiful for them.

Lets not give the non-virgins the impression that the are societal misfit. Beauty of character and an open expression of remorse could convince one's partner he has turn a new leaf.

Hiya people! Please, lets not forget that sexual skills are not naturally endowed, we acquire it way or the other. So, a virgin can be sexually compatible with you once you as the guru will lead the way forward.

However, we shouldn't make the mistake of saying that virgins are potential good house wives. From my own view, its 50-50.

I conclude this way, its an honour to have a virgin as a wife, I'll be extremely happy to have one but I'm not waiting for one.

I would accept the proposal from the non-virgin because, as justdman said in the post above, there should be one guru to lead the way forward. grin I need a guru.
Re: [poll] Would You Prefer to Marry a Virgin? by Einstein(m): 3:40pm On Jun 15, 2005
I am not concluding virgins make good house wives.  Subjected to equal yardstick, a virgin's innocense is an advantage a man could count towards trust and fidelity.

This discussion can not absolutely declare one better than the other.  Change is the only constant phenomenon in nature.  So a virgin could go negative while the deflowered rings the bell.

Please, don't lean on me. I wish you don't end up getting one who will want a guru too. What next? Disaster. Anyway, best of luck as you hope for one but don't hoard.

IAH,

Be careful the way you join in the wagon. I'll advise you remain a good gal with impeccable lifesytle. There is a good ground for those who bag the the keg pot of morals and ethical values. Never build a mindset for a guru, but pray your Mr. Right comes your way.

Sincerely yours,

Getting a guy activated is a mere one-time-experience job. Moreover, if you lead him by the dick on how to take several 'tumultous' forms, he will get acquainted, and even evolve sensual tears from your eyes. Remember this, every man is ferocious when it comes to bed affairs

I am kind of dazzled about all this talk about virgins and non virgins. What i am saying is that marriage is a broadbased issue and not simply a matter of if i marry a virgin girl then the marriage would be more succesful. The success rate of a marriage does not increase significantly based on the virginity status of any spouse. A virgin girl can still turn to other men after marriage if the husband is not sexually experienced enough. At times virgin girls once married still turn to other men. Princess Diana - i heard she was a virgin when married, how did that help their marriage. A person beign a virgin is good (for the person) but personally i am not really intrested in the virginity status of my future partner, cos it is simply not the only measuring stick for the success of marriage. And a little footnote- if i were a girl i would not marry a guy not sexually experienced coz il hate to be telling him " No its not there, a little up, stick it in here and stuffs like that, its really messed up.
