I saw that picture of cows on BBC. It was pathetic and shameful. Why would that stupid hausa/fulani cattle herder bring those animals to a polling booth if not for the high level of illiteracy in that God-forsaken region? Even at airports, they allow their animals to move about. OBJ's govt is a complete disaster and the incoming northern govt will be even more so.

Honestly, I don't think fulani cows have anything to do with the effectiveness of the Obasanjo government. lipsrsealed

yeah I saw those picturees of cow too on the Bbc news,I think echidime was right when says that BBC and CNN never report anything good about africa. Was that polling station where the cows were passing by the only polling station BBC saw to take a picture in the northern state Echidime I support you your right BBC and CNN are destroyers of africa.

All full of hot air and no substance. What have cows got to do with the effectiveness of a government?

1. I do not see how being a Hausa/Fulani cattle herder makes a someone stupid.
2. If people bring guns and knives, how do cattle make the bringer thereof any more illiterate than those who bring guns and knives?
3. "Even at airports, they allow their animals to move about". Are they supposed to bind the cattle if they are allowed to graze on the runway?
4. "OBJ's govt is a complete disaster. . .". No comment. You're entitled to your opinion.
5. ". . . and the incoming northern govt will be even more so." Yawn. Nostradamus?

Back to the topic at hand. . . who's winning?  grin

The elections are a national disaster!
The EU is unsatisfied
European Union observers said the elections had fallen far short of basic international standards and were marred by violence, poor organisation, lack of transparency, widespread irregularities, significant fraud, voter disenfranchisement and bias.

"These elections have not lived up to the hopes and expectations of the Nigerian people and the process cannot be considered to have been credible," said Max van den Berg, chief EU observer, in a statement. - http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/6582891.stm

I completely agree with them.

I don't think PDP was the (only) party rigging in this election. Is Atiku really as popular as the Lagos polls indicate?
Re: Updates On The 2007 Presidential Election by Nobody: 2:21pm On Apr 23, 2007
The obvious is the case.
Yaradua Nigeria next President.
Re: Updates On The 2007 Presidential Election by Nobody: 2:30pm On Apr 23, 2007
Riging incorprated. Where PDP could not rig u get the actual results. People voted for the broom in Lagos out of sympathy for Tinubu and not because Atiku is the Canditate.
Abuja,Kano,Lagos,Abia, to mention but a few.

Yar Adua declared winner of polls with 24million votes. Buhari came 2nd with 6million votes. Atiku scored 2million votes.
All the detractors of Nigeria have been put to shame. God is good to us and good riddance to the evil money bags wanting to destroy this nation.
All hail. NIGERIA FOREVER.
Aso rock, here we come.

hi im new and have being reading all your comments with keen interest.i too have been following the politcal situation in my country and to be truthful im ashamed.however we look at it,pdp fielded a credible guy at least he is better than all others.they would have just let the electorate vote fre and fair.but for them to rig it with this magnitude there is definetly more that meets the eyes.
permit me to all nothing good comes out of a rotten situation.so all saying that at least he will do something better are all wrong.we said it in 2003 election were did it take us to,nowhere.we will contiune to run round the same circle until we are true to ourself and embrace what is right and discard what is wrong.
you can never fit a square peg into a round hole.

all this talk of rigging - if there is concrete evidence, then head for the courts - at least Atiku believes in the court. Can anyone here point to a concrete evidence he/she witness of the massive rigging as is being touted up and down? Is it because Atiku failed woefully?
