Hello Friends, I want to apply for the Australian PR, but I have a little issue on my mind. Recently my visa application to Canada was cancelled due to misinformation - with subsequent ban. I wish to disclose this in my Australian PR application. Currently I'm processing my qualification Assessment. But before I invest so much into it, I would like to know my chance of getting the PR considering this issue. |
[quote author=Talktotd post=37988217][/quote]bro you make sense wella. I I'm into this PR waka....I'm working on my skill assessment with VETASSESS, I've actually uploaded all my documents [certified everything....no long story], and awaiting their reply. I will like to you to help us with "insider" information from there....concerning living conditions, job prospects, immigrant-friendly cities, other PR info, etc. cheers bro. ![]() |
kokoA:Your line of thought is good. but it does not apply to this case. INEC does not have the power to reject any candidate put forward by a party. It's only the court that can reject a candidate and even a party from an election. that is why the Tribunals and the courts are there. Now the courts look at the election laws to see if the Party and/or the candidate erred in any provisions of the law as bases for judgement. You can have a good candidate, but if by "misjugdement", your party's primaries is not within the provisions of the law, your party will be disqualified - also meaning that u are disqualified. it's painful but true. |
kokoA:It's the same thing. they are disqualifying APC [the party. not the candidate.] for not following the electoral Law. It should have been an APC victory if APC had done the subtituting in a clean primaries. But in this case APC did a FAKE primaries. Consequently, both the winners and losers of the primaries are void! because the APC primary process for that "position" was "null & void". I hope this helps. |
Rexology:Bro, you are very correct. I saw this coming. During the party primaries, the APC was so engulfed in unseating GEJ that they forgot to cover their back and resolve fall-outs from their primaries. Now their members are the once providing the oposition with much needed evidence to destory them. If they are not careful, most of their loss at the tribunal will be based on this issues - lossing their "popular" mandate to the "unpopular" party. |
I Honestly think this is a nice policy. i also understand that it will not be easy for the poor masses in the short term, but will pay-off in the medium and long term. We should not cloud our selves with who becomes rich from this policy and which part of the country He/She is from. We should look at the policy from an overall economic veiw. Our dollar reserve is droping fast partly because of fall in oil price and also our heavy dependence in dollar transactions {IMPORTATION}. This policy is trying to increase the cost of improtation as against local production. Notice that customs just removed the ban on most of these goods mention here by CBN, but slaped a minimum of 35% duty on them. this is not good news to importers. the people smiling here are the industrialist that have been calling for these mesures and preparing for their implimentation. For the unrepentant importers i'll say it's a wake up call. We have a lot of wealthy people from all regions of the country, but very few had the believe to invest and build industries here. If these policy is going to help the few industrialist who believed in the "Nigerian Project" - So be it. I would rather we have a few wealthy industrialist employing millions of our youths and giving them hope than have a million rich men with no real investment in the country. |
Chosen1984:It's exactly what you are thinking. Job well done. The Season movie acted to the director's script. You should wonder why we've not heard nor seen any news about the missing chibok girls, their parents, and the Ugly Madam Due Process. |
atlwireles:You are very correct my fellow citizen. How on earth can a machine with 40% failure rate be regarded as successful? Who will fly an Airline or travel on o vehicle with 40% crash rate? We should learn to have standards irrespective of political affiliation(s). |
Hello mates; i need your advice for a friend in need. He is having issues getting his Transcript from his school LAUTECH. If anyone have a contact in the school to work with, kindly provide. I'll be very greatful. thank you. best regards, |
when did you get the mail? In my opinion, u don't need to worry. it maybe a mail for some other person that was errornously sent to you. DoubleBam2X: |
LRNZH:My friend this forum is a respected site for information and valid opinion. unfortunately, you are not promoting these values. your hatred for GEJ is clouding you making it hard for you to absorb truth. for your information, the rails are linked to all the major seaports. even companies are thinking of stopping trailers from entering their facility. I know this because my company made that part of their mission. we been moving containers to Kano for over six months now by rail. But your APC brothers in trailer drivers association are bragging that this will die as soon as Buhari takes over. APC is a strong opposition which is goog for our democracy. But their choice of Buhari was wrong. He toppled a democratically elected government. He does not have respect for democratic institutions. so he shouldn't benefit from it. |
maryhaam:I think you also need to see "The Cindarella Man". Very touching.
|
I think "Men of Honor" is the really touching. Story of a black man scaling all odds to become a navy diver in a white controled millitary, only to have the opportunity threatened by an accident. In the end, He is required to proof His ability to continue as a navy diver again in an ALL white millitary panel.

MadCow1:Do u have to be that blunt? At least, a little paint and plaster would have helped us swallow the obvious. |
Hello House, how can one change contact e-mail address when application is already with Accra? A friend of mine can no longer login to his email used for the FSW application and wishes to change it. awaiting ur very resourceful responce. |
damkollins:Thanks for your responce. the documents i sent were futher supporting documents reqiured to update my file [they include: IMM5562, Evidence of job training, updated POF, and futher evidence of civil status. Accra requested all these [i don't know if it's normal for every body]. I'm still expecting my MR. hoping it'll come before november. |
Hello Collins and other Gurus in the house, Pease i need your opinion on an issue concerning my FSW application. I applied for FSW2013/2014 on 23 April2014. Early this month, i sent update documents as accra requested. But today, i got a phone call from one Mr. Henry claiming to be working on my file. After asking me some questions, he then said there are some technical errors with my application and that i need to settle him to waive it away. i have asked him to mention the errors, but he refuse. please i want to know if 1. Accra do call on phone? 2. How do i handle this situation. [I have informed him that i'm NOT going to settle anything, He can take his decision. But then i'm confused]. N/B: for you info, i used an agent. could he be behind all this? |
damkollins:Congrats Bro. i am tapping into ur blessing. i'm also part of the 2013/2014 FSW hopefuls. ur news today has raised my hopes even higher. AVO all the way. |
Themandator: My problem with the involvement of Pastor Ayo in this whole saga is the fact that he got his jet as gift to propagate the gospel of Christ. You are very correct. FGN buying arms [from which ever means] is not my problem. but i have issues with Him diverting an instrument of worship into full scale commercial activity. We should expect the highest standard of morals [both religious/otherwise] from someone of his status. |
cirmuell: you don't have the facts, so you have no right to downplay it.You should not sound the way u do. Science and technology is not magic. it's simple application of physical mathematical laws. what is the difference between drones and Auto-pilot? it's simple application. If the guy understands it and u don't, it's not his fault. u should even comend him for breaking down such complex concept into something we can relate. Don't take this the wrong way. ![]() |
BlackTechnology: If the Japanese Koreans Chinese Indians were thinking like you, they won't be were they are todayYou are very correct. these technologies are not hidden. they are in every science textbooks and most of our good lecturers know it. they're just expensive for one person or goup of people to fund and develop alone. All it requires is a national commitment to millitary R & D. i've always seen this [BH, Ebola, western attitude, even war] coming long before now. Even when our leaders are romancing them [western leaders], i see them laughing over our shoulders like we're one big slowpoke of a country. But then, it's not too late. we have to develop real national policy on millitary development to stop the emberassment. Nigeria with her population, resources, real/potential wealth, real/potential power is too big to be buying millitary hardware in this fasion. It's a national insult and our govt should see it that way and make sure it never happens again in our history. |
Well, what do we expect. Nigeria is not a US ally therefore we will always get these kind of attitude from them. before we rush to blame our Govt, we should remember that they will not always say the truth concerning situations between us. It's beyond political affiliation [PDP, APC, etc.]. it's just the western policy on potentially strong non-allied countries like nigeria. And it's good. Now we should realise that it's our responsiblity to invent, develop, and manufacture our weapons/millitary hardware. The hard truth is - No country will ever sell FIRST-CLASS millitary hardware to any country. it's just not possible. If u need it, u have to invent and produce it your self. |

From my understanding, I may be wrong though, provided INEC has accepted a particular candidate from a party, I think by law that party has the right to stand for that election.. It means the party has a valid candidate according to the law of the land, though in this case we don't know if that valid candidate was Ortom or Jime..
