Yes Sir.. Hyundai Elantra Is A very good Ride. and also interms of fuel economizing.. also and it low maintenance costs.. it a very good Ride but the major Problem with all this car is that. we have little technician that can handle the repair.. and using of wrong Engine oil.. cos a lot on the car.. but it a good buy when you can get a professional too help you handle the repair/service... but if you don't have any.. I will just need too tell you that you should stay away from it

So I bought this 2006 Toyota Matrix 2 days ago around Omole phase 1 in Ikeja.
Seller said there's no issue. I only need to go for maintenance. D car guy that escorted me was fooled by the seller after I had pointed out the seller pouring in power steering fluid into the car before driving it.
I questioned why d level of fluid was low, but he simply said it's long he used it. And that was why.

Fast forward to this morning, I was hearing noise on turning my steering, and it's a bit stiff.
I hit the mechanic workshop, and now he's saying the leak is from the power steering rack, and that i need to replace the rack. I've searched online and the prices I'm seeing for Toyota Matrix is much.
I don't have much money to spend anymore.
I called the seller this evening, and he was telling stories. Not a responsible person at all.

Is buying a new steering rack the only solution for my predicament?
What else can I do?

. Yea Sir. Good One Alot Of Things Can Cause Hard Start On Vehicles.

1. Weak Battery.

2. Clogged Fuel Line

3. Bad Fuel Pump.

4. Faulty Ignition Switch.

5. Failed Spark Too The Combustion Chamber. Sir.

But The Best Way too Go about this is too visit. A professional auto technician. That will help you run a computerized Scan on the system for further trouble codes too trouble shoot. The system sir.. And Also Physical Troubleshoot Of The Cars. That Will Give Us A Better Idea Of What Is Wrong With The Vehicle. There is something called OCV, check it or prolly run a scan which is likely to pop up multiple cylinder misfire code

My nissan xterra 02 break wasn't working fine and dragging noise comes whenever break is pressed, I took it to the mechanic and he said it's the caliper, so I changed it.

After changing it, the sound disappears but the brake sinks and became worst. I discovered that whenever I apply the brake, the car performance becomes poor, it got worst that the car suddenly stops after starting.

Hi. I drive a corolla 03. Its running smoothly but the issue I have is that it makes this loud, rumbling sound when I'm doing say 50 km/h and above. My mechanic said it was the shocks. I changed all 4 yet the noise persists. I don't know if its and engine problem but the engine runs smoothly when I start the car and no issues while driving at high speeds. The sound is like a high rumbling sound. It disappears when I decelerate and comes back when I'm doing those high speeds again. Any ideas how I can go about this pls?

I have a problem with my car and I need some suggestions on what should be done. My Nissan X trail,some times doesn't respond to acceleration while you are matching the throttle. What I do in that case is to stop, return to reverse ,move back a bit and then move to drive again and it will pick. What could be the problem?

The car is Toyota sienna 2007 with 2GR engine and location is Enugu.

The top gasket and even the top got burnt by several episodes of overheating.

When it overheats, the car with automatically go off and will not start until it has cooled down. The temperature guage will be around the middle (does not go to the red zone) while water will over flow from the coolant reservoir.

In trying to solve the problem, at various times, I have changed the top gasket, the top cylinders, fuel pump radiator and latest was the water pump.

But because the mechanic has not located and fixed the main cause of the overheating, currently, the top gasket has burnt again.

I initially left the mechanic to do all that is needed because I thought he was competent but now I know better and I want to be directly involved in the fixing this time by giving advice and insisting he does those things.

I'm planning to fix the top gasket again.

My questions are:

I was told on this forum that after fixing the top gasket, you have to start the engine for a few minutes so it can bond. What do you think about that?

Why do you think the car overheats without the temperature gauge going up? (we initially thought the guage was faulty and had to change it but it's still the same).

Do you think the engine itself will still perform well and be reliable if the overheating problem is finally fixed?

By the way, I've been advised to check the radiator cap as possible cause of the overheating and I'll do just that. I'm surprised the mechanics around here do not know that.

You Might Have A Warp Cylinder Head. Or A Crack Cylinder Head Sir. Which Is The Engine Block Due Too The State And Duration Of The Previous Over Heating. That May Cos the Over Heating Too Continue Until You Fix That. On Which Some Mechanic Might Recommend Changing The Engine Block Or Getting An Half Engine.. Sir. But As For Me Sir. Due Too The Previous Fix And All On The Engine I Will Hereby Recommend Too Change The Complete Engine Sir.

My toyota corolla 2010 automatic started popping out of transmission during motion. Work was done on it before and it stopped but it has started again. The technicians refused to tell me exactly what he did.

But I noticed the acceleration was not smooth like before after it changes from gear 1 to 2. The gear 2 viberates during motion as if you are using a lower gear.

Presently I can only use it when driving slowly on the street but can't speed up with it.
Any attempt to speed up will disengage the gear though it is on Drive. It will be firing without moving.
Good for street but bad for expressway.

What could be the problem?
