He has 26 patents to his name and is famous for the development of IBM computers, burglar-proof cash registers and an electronic resistor used to control missiles and other devices.

4. Lonnie Johnson.. An Aerospace Engineer for NASA. He worked on the Galileo Jupiter Probe and Mars Observer project and he has over 40 U.S. patents. 6. Garret Morgan....invented the "safety hood" to help firefighters navigate smokey buildings, later he modified it to carry its own air supply---making it the worlds first effective gas masks. He also created the traffic light.

7. Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaugh, Mary Winston Johnson were human computers, they were mathematicians with genius minds Their calculations of orbital mechanics as NASA employees were critical to the success to the first and subsequent U.S. manned spaceflights. This was before calculators yall. Without these women minds, there would have not been any flights to the moon. This is a secret they didn't teach in school because it showed the brilliant minds of black people and under the system of white supremacy in the 1950s, they could not allow that. This was kept under wraps until the 2000s. If you saw the movie Hidden Figures that is the true story about these brilliant women.

8. Patricia Bath... created the laserphaco probe in 1986 for laser cataract surgeries. With this device, she was able to restore the sight to several individuals who had been blind for over 30 years.

Black Americans have had a very positive impact on this globe. They’ve made a lot of strides and progress and have excelled in so many fields like innovation, inventions, sports, entertainment, politics and so many spheres in society. Given what Black Americans have gone through, they’ve achieved a lot despite the odds

But they were stripped of their African culture and to no fault of their own they are in the process of forming a new culture and this has led to some of the negative aspects you see in their culture because their African culture that they’ve known for thousands of years was stripped from them

You don’t just completely form a new culture within a 100-200 years, it’s something that takes a much longer time. Hence you see all these negatives in their culture.

Unfortunately Nigerians and other Africans are copying and imitating the negatives from Black American culture and this has really had a very negative impact on Nigeria society. African-Americans, just like Africans, have suffered system and systemic discrimination, beginning with their arrival as slaves, to the unjust, inhuman implementation of the infamous Jiw Crow laws, to other forms of glass ceilings that upbended and distorted black families and culture. The same could be said of Africa and Africans, where colonialism created split personalities and turn coats, arrested and stagnated burgeoning indigenous development, etc.

Nevertheless, these gory and scarred histories are not major reason for confusion and lack of self-awareness and recognition revaging these societies. For example, Africa isn't the only continent colonised, neither does African-Americans the only demography to suffer alienation and discrimination. So, we should refrain from blaming anyone for our inability to solve our problems and build prosperous future for the next generation. The blackman, anywhere he is in the world, does not and can never accept blame for his shortcomings and transgressions. Instead, he almost always elects to blame external entities with a view to exonerate himself.

These arguments allow me to draw correlation and connection to the senseless, depraved, gruesome, and extra-judicial killings of Africans by black South Africans, in what has been criminally christened as "xenophobia."
