Having observed that so many people have complete ignorance about esoteric paths,

Having noticed that people here tend to group them all under the word "sorcery" witchcraft or diabolic

Knowing that people are only afraid of what they don't know and only knowledge can liberate people,

Willing to promote tolerance, perspective enlargement and mutual understanding,

believing that ruth can more easily be found as a synthesis, that is the cross checking of all possible perspectives, approaches to life physics and metaphysics,

I will attempt to explain in the following posts and days my opinion on the fundamental truths / perspectives of various (main) spiritual and esoteric traditions.

You are all Welcome.

ok. tell us more. but first begin by stating the group you belong to, or rather, the path that you are on.

Part of the reason for the misunderstanding people have about esoteric knowledge is that it is difficult to distinguish between mysticism and occultism. Telling the left from the right is a matter of perspective, and it is very disturbing

I practice tantric Buddhism with the help of someone I consider a great man. I also have great interest in hermetica and Kabbalah. I also have met sages both incarnated or not, from various paths including rosicrucianism, esoteric Christianity and Taoism.

I also read a lot about other paths. I do not claim that my posts will be the factual truth, but more of a personal understanding of these traditions. Corrections will be welcomed.

May I ask you what is your own background.

Out of curiosity and interest, please indulge with these questions:
1/ What is the name of this someone you are proud of and consider to be a great man?
2/ What sage in esoteric Christianity did you meet?
3/ In what capacity did you meet this sage, as in, was it in an incarnated or not incarnated capacity?

That question was not addressed to you dear, unless you and chrisbaxtian are the same person. Let me now answer yours:

1- why would I disclose someone's name in a forum l, while even mine I have never disclosed.

2- a Few of them. I will name one. I have been to the place of Stylianos Atteshis, famously called Daskalos if you know him. He is now gone though, but he was a very great mystic with thousand of documented scientifically investigated and proven miracles.

His became very renowned when an American professor took a sabbatical leave to investigate him in Lefkosia, Cyprus, for a whole year.

3- He was living. You can Google him up.

About your factual truths, it is your opinion that your opinions are facts. It is mine that they remain opinions, just as mine.

I would love to start with western philosophic (esoteric) circles, and I will single out three of them: Amorc, Golden Rosycross (lectorium rosicrucianum) and Free masonry.

The reason being that they are the most notorious on this part of the world, and have caused many to be afraid.

I will give my opinion about the root practices of these movements, and why I think people paint them black so much. I shall also try to identify if they maybe guilty to any extent of what they are accused of or more.

I primarily hold Christian beliefs, but I am open minded enough to accept the knowledge within some esoteric leanings. I occasionally practice breathing meditation.

No, dont know and never heard of him, until now and finding out he was a Christian esoteric healer and mystic.

Dear friend, the problem here is, too many people don't know the difference between a fact and an opinion. Facts dont change, facts arent affected by opinions, but opinions in the face of facts change

If a crooked stick is before you, you need not explain how crooked it is. Lay a straight one down by the side of it, is all you need do and the work is well done.

Any Spirit-filled Christian would understand how satanic spirits posses humans. An empty mind, a passive emotion and an inactive will always yield a foothold for evil spirits - beware of esoteric practices and yogasm!

When man follows his own instincts, his own inclinations, it leads to ruin. We need to follow only God’s way, not our own.

Yogasm is the orgasm experienced while performing yoga, and so nothing in that sense supernatural about it.

Hello, good morning. Please can you add Eckankar to the list? They are pretty controversial too, and I had a brief experience with chanting HU

The western mystery schools such as the ones I have mentioned are usually rigid and structured teaching ancient philosophical and esoteric understanding of god, living beings and the cosmos. They usually claim to be heirs of great mystical circles traced to ancient Egypt. This claim is difficult to ascertain, but my personal opinion is that it is more of a spiritual and intellectual filiation than a factual inheritance.

I will start with the Rosicrucian circles (Amorc and lectorium Rosicrucianum).

Whoever has read or seen the Harry Potter books and movies should be already acquainted with Rosicrucian thought. Much of the series are clearly inspired by the founding work of rosicrucian thought. It is not my intention to say what they teach there or not but at least we can get a glimpse into their philosophy.

The idea of a rose on a cross is not that new. Even in Buddhism that idea is present with the Lotus. It simply symbolizes at fundamental level the human material nature which is fully developed (body) and the non material side of man which is dormant and must be developped (flower). This process is said to be the real reason of existence of humans and failure to do that results in death, the elimination of our self, and the microcosm must reincarnate to start all Over again. This is no easy feat and only the most dedicated disciplined and detached of the men can achieve that.

These schools therefore upgrades the men to become a better version of themselves. At least in theory.

Amorc (ancient mystical order of the Rosy cross) is in my opinion less religious than its counterpart. In Amorc students attempt to learn somewhat objectively the laws and principles of nature across all the planes of existence.

The lectorium rosicrucianum (golden rosy cross) is a bit different. Their core belief is that man has a divine atom in him, a divine spark that must be revived by exposure to light.

They sound more religious to me. They have this exclusivist belief that only "they" have the "right" light that can achieve this. They also forbid their members to belong to any other religious organisation and perform any other spiritual exercise except theirs.

Well, different strokes for different folks.

Re: Esoteric Paths by LoJ: 6:48pm On Mar 25
Let's now look at free masonry perhaps the most renowned of them all.

Free masons are first of all masons. It is the craft of those that want to build, build their spiritual bodies first then that is co - create, co-build with the divine. Each one hence learn the craft and attempts to build a world that reflects noble ideas, Freedom equality self realization. A free Mason therefore learns to be free and be a builder.

As a side note, the building of America as an idea(l) and as a place was largely derived from the inner workings of free masonry, just as much of the construction of old Europe is indebted to Rosicrucianism.

The question remains why are these esoteric groups so much associated with all kinds of evils, especially in African climes. Before we adress that, let's deal with Eckankar as requested by a reader.

Eckankar is in my opinion, another one of the numerous religious groups that are birthed from time to time and usually capture those that are disenchanted with traditional religions, but are too afraid to go to hardcore esoteric paths such as the ones aforementioned. Other such groups include the Mormons, the gnosis of Samael aun weor, the Grail message etc.

They are usually a watered down version of some deeper esoteric path, or a modern mixture of them. In the case of Eckankar, one can't fail to see it draws inspiration from hindouism and tantra but highly watered down and modernized.

The famous chanting of HU, is actually a modern version of the mantra of OM (pronounced HAUM) which is believed to be the primary sound in the creation of the cosmos. Some gurus also "anoint" special words for their adherent who will thus easily join an Astral created Kingdom of theirs.

I am not saying it can't be useful to adhere to Eckankar. I am just giving my honest opinion about the school. Any path can be useful to a seeker, just as any path can be dangerous to the frivolous. The lips of the master opens right when the ear of the student are ready.

You were.opening up your essence to.demons to inhabit and manifest here in the physical. When you look at the dark side, careful you must be, for when the dark side looks back to stare

Do you ever recoil back, when watching something gruesome happening in real life or maybe just on a TV screen slash internet. If you do, well that's your spirit not wanting to be needlessly grieved. Sometimes, you protect the gateway to your spirit man because you might not necessarily want to relive or remember the moment, so you block any avenue, contact or link to that thing happening or going on

What Makes Man?
Or better still what is man?
Man is a spirit being, residing or housed in a Body and possessing a Soul, so Man is made up of Body, Soul (i.e. uses the heart as an outlet) and Spirit.
The Soul has the body and spirit on each opposite sides of it. In a nutshell, Man essentially, is a spirit being with a soul, housed, encapsulated, and/or wrapped up in a human being body suit

The spirit and soul have different faculties, and so the faculties of the spirit, comprises of Fellowship, Conscience, Discernment or Intuition, whilst the faculties of the Soul comprises of the Mind (i.e. consciousness and sub consciousness) or Intellect, Will or Freewill, and Emotions and the Body has 5 faculties of senses, which are, to see via the eyes, hear via the ears, feel via applicable part of the body, smell via the nose and taste via the mouth.

Mind you, the Soul is the most important existence of Man and that is why the battle is and always has been about or over the Soul. All attacks, are ultimately targeted at and for the Soul. Now, the Soul is the first medium key component of Man created by God and Man is tickled and accessed through this same Soul by way of the body and spirit. The Soul, in effective, is the mediator between the body and spirit

The different faculties in the Soul waits, to pick up signals coming from the relevant and/or applicable faculties in the Body and the Spirit. This crucial bit of information, is very important to grasp, that the Soul receives from the Body and deposits into the Spirit. Whatever the Body reads or sees via the eyes, hears via the ears, feels via applicable part of the body, smells via the nose and talks or tastes via the mouth is picked up by the Soul and deposited into the Spirit. The Spirit then, upon receiving things from the Soul, has to deal with or process what the Soul has deposited into its laps.

This is why regulation is very important. It is why we ought to control and oversee what the Soul is picking up from or picking up with the senses. If you have to by all means, eat the chicken or fish, then its necessary to know when and how to spit out the bones, or if it's straw to eat, then know when and how to spit out the sticks, alternatively, if it's liquor to drink, and you cant hold it down so you don't throw it up, then know how or when to stay away from the liquor

UceeGod:
They still won't listen, but I pray for anyone who has been involved in this demonic practices and is willing to repent and be delivered in Jesus name.
The devil has no power, except with and in the dark, so I'll advise the curious to distance self from the dark, to save yourself from misery, but if hellbent on dining with the devil, then make sure you've got a long spoon to eat with.

LoL. Esoteric paths are for matured souls who among other things are ready to face their fears. Unfortunately many are not ready to, so they fall for sweet comfortable lies such as the ones provided to you in this very thread. Eventually, each person will get to that point at some time. It can take a thousand lifetime though.
