Truth to an extent. But you must also imbibe in them the ethics/skills/hard work to keep the business running or else we'll have another case of diamond bank.

He is right, and has a point.

And one thing I realised on getting to Kano is that, most Hausa men are either into businesses or farming. They make sure they train their kids on this business. That's why most rich Hausa boys are products of inherited businesses just like the Dantatas and Isiaka Rabiu(Bua) family, talk more of the Lebanese.

Do you know why every Lebanese you meet is rich? Ask them, they all inherited wealth. Don't ask me how I got to know, my cousin is a Lebanese, niggur living large on inherited businesses and running it smoothly on his 20s. Likewise every other one I meet.

But Southerners? The dead of the founder is always the dead of the empire and business. Chidlren go d fight for money.

Very true. This is why many Nigerian businesses do not last once the man (owner or founder) dies.

Most American companies are more than 100 years old because their children learnt the business and continued with it. You hardly see a Nigerian business that last years after the death of the founder.

We always think once you graduate and get a white collar job, you have made it in life.

But he stated the obvious truth

Even excluding the inheritance part,
education or that degree will disappoint you if you’re not sure of who can help you secure a good job with security. trust me jobs are not even closely a better option than running your own business

If you’re so well educated and so experienced, why do you need a job? If you’re so smart, why do you need a paycheck?

I think Peter is wrong, it is not the Business Ventures you left behind that makes your child Human, it is the Treasure you left inside of them that defines who they represents after the demise of the Parents.

The businesses left behind can crumble, but the Principles of Success instilled in the Children can't be tampered with.

It is the morals, the knowledge and their level of understanding of life that determines whether they succeed or fail.

Bill Gates will be donating his wealth to Charity.

To inherit business is not by force
If your children doesn't show interest in your business then let them be or give it to competent hands.
Every kid needs to be allowed to follow their dreams and not forced into something they don't have interest for.
Watch your kids see what interest them or what yhier talent is ,then train them and guide them

Why are people slamming the guy? This is ultimate true talk.
For decades the mantra had been "get a degree, get a job". Yet how many people can pass their jobs to their children? It's business that creates jobs.

Business is what grows wealth, and even if your children are not running it when you pass, they can learn a lot of life lessons from watching their parents run the business.
