A Twitter user Okemzuruoke has dragged God over what she claims is discriminatory in the Bible. In her post, she stated that people with disabilities were discriminated against by God whom she says prevented such from coming nearly his temple.

Okemzuruoke tweeted:

One day we’re going to talk about how God was discriminatory to people with disabilities. About how he banned people with eye defects, hunchbacks, crippled limbs, dwarfism, sores, wounded testicles - “disfigured” persons - from coming near his temple or making sacrifices to him.

She continued:

About how people with eczema, ringworm, disfigured faces, fractured limbs or any defects whatsoever were not allowed near his altar lest they desecrate the sanctuary of God. One day, we’ll talk about this and many more, and it will be hot.

She also quoted a law from the Old Testament:

God: “If a priest's daughter defiles herself by becoming a prostitute, she disgraces her father; she must be burned in the fire.”

She went on to make a case for throwing away the Bible.

So let us settle this once and for all: is the God if the Old Testament the same as that of the New Testament?

If yes, doesn’t that invalidate the claim that God never changes; that he is the same yesterday, today and forever? If no, isn’t it time we threw the whole Bible away?

Christianity is a personal thing. As such, nobody is stopping her from throwing away her Bible. She can do that without soliciting for support. Let her decide to.

This one na mugu.

The day she allows all the cripples and leprous people in Kano and Borno to enter her house, that is the day she can dictate to God concerning who and who he should allow into his own house.

Yes of course, the God of the old testament is still the same in the new testament because he doesn't change. It's situations like this that makes me mock all those who throw away the Old Testament and stick only to the new testament. Majority of those who support this stupidity are those who kick against tithing. According to them, God has instituted a new form of giving in the new testament. They love to quote the below verse.

Acts 4:34-35 (KJV)
Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.

According to them, the above act is called free-will giving and is what God now wants us to be practicing today instead of tithing. Their foolishness doesn't know that free-will giving existed in the old testament. How can they know when they've thrown that part of the Bible away.

Moses speaking:

Exodus 35:5 KJV)
Take ye from among you an offering unto the
L ORD : whosoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, an offering of the L ORD ; gold, and silver, and brass,

How did the people respond?

Exodus 35:29 (KJV)
The children of Israel brought a willing offering unto the L ORD , every man and woman, whose heart made them willing to bring for all manner of work, which the L ORD had commanded to be made by the hand of Moses.

The people brought the offering to the point that the house of God had more than needed. Moses had to tell them to stop.

Exodus 36:5-6 (KJV)
And they spake unto Moses, saying, The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work, which the L ORD commanded to make.
And Moses gave commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, Let neither man nor woman make any more work for the offering of the sanctuary. So the people were restrained from bringing.

Look, the new testament is nothing without the Old Testament. Don't ever try to separate the books. Yes, God commanded that certain people should be killed in the old testament. As long as he didn't change such stance in the new testament, it means it still stands. No one can show us where God changed the law on tithing in the new testament. This means that what he said back in the old still stands in the new. The laws he wanted changed he did in the new. Examples are the laws on diet, washings, Sabbath etc. He changed those ones specifically in the new testament. Where did he change the law on tithing or incest, or tattoos, or gay marriage etc? Nowhere. So what he said back then still holds. Anyone telling you to stop tithing is only telling you to rob God. Even Jesus upheld the law on tithing in Mathew 23:23.

The commandment this stupid lady is even talking about is not a commandment to prevent disabled people from entering the temple of God Read Leviticus 21.

The command is for Aaron the priest who alone with his sons can enter the altar of God where the Holy of Holies is. God told him that none of his children who have blemish must enter that altar. Nowhere is it stated that cripples or disabled people can't enter the temple. Even Aaron had to do certain cleansing before stepping into the altar of God. Altar is different from temple.

I'll advice you read your Bible or else's all these satanic agents unleashed at this end time will just confused you.

Simple as ABC, Hod has the right to state who should come into his house way more than she has the right to prevent leprous people from entering her own house.

In order words u are saying its okay for God to discriminate against the disabled?

God cannot be saying live ur neighbour as urself and asking humans to give to the helpless and on the other hand is discriminating again thing.

The issue is not about what God has the right to do, its about what God is actually doing. And this we find wrong.

When God said you should love your neighbor as you love yourself, how many of those dirty leprous beggars on the streets have you welcomed to live inside your home? There are tonnes of Agberos sleeping under the bridge in Lagos, how many have you given a room under your roof to sleep in? Don't you know that there's a way one has to behave in God's house?

1 Timothy 3:15
But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

Do you think even the priest in God's temple in those days behaved anyhow in God's house? Go and read Leviticus and Exodus to see the strict rules God gave those priest concerning operating in his house.

Here you are trying to claim God doesn't love those cripples and beggars. Have you forgotten that he designated a portion of tithe to feed them? Have you forgotten how his Son Jesus Christ came and healed them? But simply because he wants things done in a certain way in his house, he has all of sudden become discriminatory.

You better watch your mouth.

They were unclean and could get killed by the holy presence of God. The God of the old testament is still the same as the new testament. Through Christ those who were once unclean and unfit to be in the presence of God can now be without fear nor guilt. Amen!

GOD of old testetement never changes.

HE allowed the destruction of Jerusalem in New testament as foretold. Millions of people who tried to defend it were slaughtered. He will definitely allow the destruction of much of world with fire in the last day.

These disables were not allowed to offer sacrifice in the alter thesame way today's disables are not allowed in the army. Doesn't mean GOD or government doesn't care about them. They were probably prevented in order not to infect others or mess up the place due to their limited strength and height.

At the end of that verse GOD encourages the disabled to eat the "holiest foods".

Humans can't come into the place where God stays because of our sinful nature. The priest who goes into the Holy of Holies (Altar) had to does some ritualistic washings before entering the place.

Mind you, the altar is different from the temple, though it is inside the temple. Only an able priest can enter into the altar. A disabled person is not allowed but allowed into the temple.

Do you allow leppars and cripples into your house let alone your bedroom where you get down with your wife? No, yet you want to dictate to your maker how he should run his own house.

I hope you understand now?

This Twitter user does not want to move on. Jesus Christ's coming had changed some of such weird laws, so why should she still go back to quote them? There are positive things to pick out from the Bible and talk about, not some old practices.

Didn't Jesus say the laws aren't done away with?

And didn't god say he changeth not?
