Yes you can reach out to them. The delays have been caused by this time being peak period of applications.

Maybe request to speak to the manager since this does not sit well with you and for posterity as well.I would understand if they used just your initials then your surname but to shorten it for you is news to me.

Thank you for the advice. I saw the manager but I was told my name was really too long to be contained in the bank statement. The middle-name can't be made an initial too.

I have however been offered a reference letter from the bank to be attached to the bank statement.

I answer my surname double barrelled so in all it’s 15 letters and my Nigerian account put it all on there so still don’t understand. It’s like an external exam shortening your name which can pose an issue as some quarters will and can argue it’s not the same individual.
At least they issued a cover letter.x.

Hi All Gurus in the House.

I would like to humbly know, can a person who has been to the UK on a 6 months visa in 2010 (spent 18 days) apply for a 2 years visa now?

He's been previously refused a UK visa Four times after his first visit.
NOTE: All refused visa applications were 6 months application.

Reasons being that the ECO not sure he will return and that Statements submitted didn't reflect monthly income. (He operates personal business (Limited Liabilities) submitted company's statements and Personal)

The last UK Visa application was in Nov. 2016.

After this time, he's been to;

France × 2 (2019 & 2021)
Germany ×1 (2021)
Belgium ×2 (2020 & 2021)
Luxembourg×1
Netherlands x1
United Arab Emirates × 2 (2016 & 2018)
Turkey × 1 (2020)
Ethiopia×1 (2016)

All these were for Buisnesses and Family Vacations.

For this year, he is planning to visit London in November for A-3-day Submit (mainly for Business)

What can he do differently?
Will only the Company's account work in His favour? ( he doesn't pay himself salaries but His company stands well)

Kindly give (advises) and encouragement.
Yes he is eligible to apply for 2 years however,it is common sense to assume that if the 6 months is refused then it is highly likely the 2years would be refused as well.It is not duration that matters, what he needs to work on is to rectify the reasons the ECO gave for refusal.

Thank you for your contribution, this time around it's for business, will a business account only fly?

I don't understand too. I was told the system can't accommodate more than 38 characters.

I will add the ref letter and explain in my cover letter.

Thank you

Hi everyone,

I was refused a U.K visitor's visa in July when I applied from Germany as I am a graduate student there and one of the reasons was because I indicated I only wanted to spend 4 days in the U.K, not minding the 10 days quarantine period. The other reason was with a large deposit in my German bank account.

Now I want to reapply from Nigeria in September since I am home on holidays. I have prepared a cover letter addressing all three concerns of the ECO regarding my previous application with evidence to back up each point I made. Secondly, I have tons of documents ranging from property ownership documents to business related documents such as bills of lading, payment receipts, etc as I own an importation business here and also school fees receipts for my kids, their birth certificates and my academic and professional credentials as well. My questions are as follows:

1. Are there limits to what documents I can submit at the VAC on the day of my appointment? As the documents I have gathered so far are up to 40 pages and more are still to come. Is this acceptable?

2. I move monies between my personal and business accounts as payments are sometimes made into my personal account from where I transfer back to my business account which is solely operated by me. I made reference to this in my cover letter together with proof of being the sole operator of both accounts, most especially the business account with proof of a check (front and back) I issued and signed alone moving some money into my personal account from my business account. I intend to submit both bank statements so they can see the movements of monies between both accounts. Is it okay this way?

3. Do I also need to go get a tax clearance certificate to add to the list of documents I will be submitting or can I do away with that? I was told by an agent that I don't need it. How true is this?

Please, I need your imputs as it would go a long way in helping me do it right this time around.

Lest I forget. I have been to the U.S twice in the past without overstaying and been living in Germany for over 6 years. I only visit home to spend time with my family as most of my trips are to Nigeria as indicated on the entry/exit stamps on my passport pages, both old and the new one.

Please I need a response as I am submitting my application next week. Thanks for your contributions in advance.

You do not need to be in a hurry. Those strange deposits will be scrutinized. Why don’t you wait until you have at least 4 months of clean transactions in your personal statement where you dnt need to be explaining yourself up and down.
If you are refused, you will wish you had waited.
Do you have any travel history?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by giselle237: 6:19pm On Aug 26, 2021
@josephb you need to build trust again. If you have had one approval followed with 4 subsequent denials, I think it will be wise to go for 6 months first. I note your travel hx, if it were me with this profile with the UK I will opt for the 6 months own.

The last visa you got from UK was 2010, that is 11 whole years ago and then 4 refusals— leave that 2 yrs for now.

U mention it is a 3 day business summit. To whose favour is it? Who is sponsoring the business trip? Your business is? Then you will need to do official documentations and board resolutions etc for all this.
Becaus u cnt just wake up and use business funds to fund your business summit just because it is yours.
Company acct is for company’s day to day running.
What is the 3 day summit for? You need to find a tangible reason why this summit can not be attended over zoom and give considerable evidence to this.

@esdajo you do not need to take the physical docsto tls. You can do self service and upload all yiur documents yourself
You dnt need the tax clearance certificate
What is the purpose of the trip?- there needs to be a good reason.

Good evening eldergods of the house and mortals. Please I need your advice. I am an accountant by profession. I have been working in the federal Civil service as an accountant for the past 9 years. I am married with 2 kids and I'm 33 years old. I have no prior experience in the health sector. However, I want to study nursing as I have no love for accounting. I actually have the passion for nursing.

Please what are my chances?
Is it doable?
Which uk university need I apply to?

Thanks for your anticipated responses?

It’s good to have passion and follow it however, the only challenge is that people with no nursing backgrounds here either do the Access to HE diploma route or degree apprenticeship pathway and these are mostly not open to overseas students.
If you have 5 credits including English, maths and biology you can apply as an undergraduate in some universities but with the pound to Naira conversion on a 3 year course that’s a lot of money spending.
You can consider qualifying in Nigeria and then come to the United Kingdom for MSc Nursing.
Go look on YouTube you would learn how some Nigerian nurses(and non nurses) who now work abroad explain their journey.

The purpose is just for tourism for myself for now then I intend to apply for my family next summer during the long break. I already paid for the assisted service at TLS. I was just wondering if they would frown that the documents are too much because I have to ensure that I back every single claim up with a document or sets of documents in order to avoid any further refusals which won't be good for me at all. Any more tips please?

Glory to Jesus Christ.

Visa collected (Visiting visa)

Biometric day: 26th July ( Standard)
Collection mail: 11th August
Collected: 12th August.

Have learned alot from this trend.
What I have learned from my visa process is to be sincere and truthful.
I had alot of Negative balance in my bank balance at the end of 3 months in my 6 month bank statement. The money I used was deposited by my sponsor just 7 day before I submitted my application.
I used Cover letter to explain everything in my bank statement.

You must have a strong purpose for going to UK and strong affiliation at Home.

Glory to God Almighty.

Hello CSPB

Please can you kindly help with a sample of cover letter you wrote to explain the money your sponsor send into your account ? I really need the sample of the letter to write for my mom i as a sponsor

Thanks a lot. This helps. I have 5 credits which includes English, Mathematics and Biology.

I have one follow-up question. If I'm doing a 3 years undergraduate course, do I need maintenance cost for the 3 years or just for 9months?

I feel like if that happens, you have to state that you have been previously denied with these reasons... and how you do not want a repeat situation.. and how all these documents are elemental to your current application.
The service is not free.

Do you think with a board of resolution, stating why the submit needs to be attended, the Company statements of account would fly?

Also, the Submit is an Annual Event, which is basically meeting business associates around the world, Last year it was atteneded online due to the Covid-19.

Your Advise is welcomed

Business and Family Vacation.

If you meet the requirements, reasons are genuine and fly often, you will be let into most countries, despite the Pandemic.

Plus what do you enjoy about nursing is it caring for adults,children or special needs and mental health because you need to specialise. (search nairaland for student visas but I can tell you for free that worked examples for living costs;
If you are going to study on a 3-year undergraduate course, you will need to show (£1334 × 9 months) £12006 for your living costs.
My apologies everyone else for derailing the thread.

Since you are presenting it as a business trip sponsored by the company then every thing needs to look like that irregardless of your position in the company.
Approach it from an angle of a corporation sponsoring a worker and submit all and every since tht's the picture of your application including but not limited to why it must be an in person trip, what the company benefits from an employee attending such etc with corresponding board resolutions and statements viz a viz to match.

My Advise to all applying as Self employ and using CAC Certificate,
IF you know your CAC is showing Inactive on their Portal Kindly donot apply cause this is red flag now, try and work on it to get it back to active
they are currently checking this on all applicant who submited their company certificate,

Hi,but the company where I work also shows inactive and am not the owner, pls what do I need to do?
