I was not the one that received the item. I was busy working on site. I hardly reach my office anytime am occupied with site work. My secretary received it and complained about the NTT and color of the screen. I told her not to worry that I bought it as NTT. I bought a phone with NTT, but functional screen. The girl noticed the screen was malfunctioning the same day the phone got to her. Moreover the phone only stayed 5 days in my possession. Everyone I reported this incident told him to reach out to me. He first claimed time had passed, when he saw that excuse wasn’t working, he brought up another excuse that I was rude. When he annoyed me with his response. Buying a phone without tt isn’t an offense. The phone was fixed with a low budget screen. Issues of screen malfunctioning are mostly noticed by end users. Are u pushing the blame to me? I have all my chats with him. This is my first and only transaction with Joe17 and he ended up scamming me.

Boss, ARe you saying you didn't see the phone at all before sending?

What I'm saying is, if you had told the guy something like this "I have gotten the phone but the screen looks obviously changed or different, let me send to client and see what she would say then get back to you"

Now if you had done this then the next day, you tell him the client doesnt want it, you guys would have reached an agreement.

During 5 days, many things might have happened.
A client bought a phone from me and the next 3 days, he said the proximity censor isn't working, I told him I think the phone fell or was on something hard, he said he doesn't use phone anyhow, he ain't a kid, I got the phone and carefully check the edges and saw signs of impact of being hit on a hard surface..

I'm really sorry about your ordeal but let's be careful to examine items before selling off cos as it is now, we can't say it's Joe that gave you a faulty device or it's the customer that spoilt it..

Boss you and wildchild are the first persons I message when Kasala burst anytime , I've experienced first hand the issue that stems from a tlc of an iPhone 11 pro max without true tone , I've bought three from very respected members in this group and another only recently and I can confidently tell you all three had issues when they arrived , I was fortunate to have purchased it from deal hunters that are quite understanding oga frinx and bdemix who both agreed to assist me in mitigating my loss even frinx agreed to pay for a replacement screen when he wasn't even aware the phone didn't come with true tone initially.

I'll be frank , joe17 whenever there's an issue with regards a device you sold, the very first thing one expects from any seller is a listening ear and then a suggestion of how to address or resolve the issue not firstly who is to be held accountable or responsible for the particular issue , I've bought several deals with little issues , that I rarely ever disturb deal hunters about , sammuel okporua can bear witness .

Oga kreamie I'll implore you to look past the manner of each parties approach , the salient thing is to help them resolve the issue , most times we go out of character whenever we perceive things aren't going my way .

And I'm yet to see wildchild comment sad ,

5 days isn't too short for issues to be noticed, there are issues like panic full, that takes extensive usage before they are noticed.

My suggestion for both parties is to froth choose an engineer both of them trust , that would inspect and diagnose the cause of issue, then if it's water damage sirlop would cover the cost of repairs then if it's because of the poor quality of screen then joe17 you'll be the one to cover the cost . I think this way no one would feel hard done by .

Outrgightly saying since it's already past 5 days you can no longer accept the device, quite frankly isn't right. Remember these are used device and no one knows the history of the device, if the seller couldn't tell you it wasn't having true tone from the genesis , do you think he would share it with you ig the screen gets glitchy after extensive usage, let's all try to be considerate . 11 pro max screen no be moi moi .

I just remembered I've even bought two recently from my boss oga henrixx that he had to replace the screen for both devices, 240k loss , na God go save person .

Thanks. This is the most reasonable contribution here. Joe17 behaved like a fraudster. But it’s ok. I’ve replaced the screen for the girl. I actually checked the phone when she brought it. This phone in question stayed only 5 days in my possession. The phone got to me on the 30th, the girls friend picked up same day and delivered it to her on the 3rd. She started using it on the 4th cos she still had her phone. She complained on the same 4th and I told her to restart and retry. Her complaints became too much on the 5th and and I contacted Joe17 on the 5th (same day). He told me he was not going to do anything about it. He said Dazz01 picked it up like that and I’ve had it for 1 week. He is aware of when I got the phone from our chat. He sent the phone on the 28th with YSG logistics and it got to me on the 30th. I even chatted him up on the 29th telling him I haven’t gotten the phone. Moreover 5 days isn’t too much. I was trying to explain to him that some problems are best experienced by end user. He was of the opinion that I checked it when I got it, which I didn’t. I only instructed my secretary to do some checks, she complained it had no truetone and the display wasn’t looking original. I told her to give to the Girls friend that I got the device from someone I believe was trusted though my perception of JOE17 has changed since then. That’s y I only buy from very few people. I’ve bought from Mendy, wildchild01, pradit etc and when I experienced any issue within the warranty period, they either replaced or fixed the device. This is my first and last transaction with JOE17. I can’t transact with someone that only knows how to collect money and fails to handle any problem that comes up after receiving payment. He gave so many excuses. When he saw time duration wasn’t working, he came up with the excuse that I insulted him, when he annoyed me. The most annoying thing is that I reported to Kreamie and some people and they were scared of speaking up here. When Kreamie mentioned my manner of approach was what made him not to get involved on the thread, I lost the little respect I had for him. What happened to me will happen to anyone anytime any day on same forum. I’ve lost over 13 million on this forum. 130k won’t kill me. I’ve moved on, but anytime I see JOE17, he must pay me.

We really need to work on how we address ourselves on here as no one is anyone’s boy here neither is anyone paid to make sure disputes are settled amicably. We’re only trying to be each other’s keeper. That being said, I told Joe17 to try to see what he could do about having the phone fixed and he complained about how he was addressed hence keeping mute about the whole matter. He even sent me a voice note sirlop sent to him calling him names and what not.

Also saying people chose not to comment on this issue out of fear? Lol. See what I mean about addressing issues? Bros, try to keep your outbursts in check as it only portrays you in bad light to whoever you’re dealing with.

He sent u a voice note I sent him. Did he send u what he sent to me? I respect u a lot, that was y I sought ur opinion. I told u I was moving to dispute thread before I moved it. It was 5 days interval. I received the phone on the 30th of which it was given to the girls friend. The girl traveled to see her mum. She came back to school on the 3rd, collected the phone same day. She started using the phone on the 4th cos she still had her old device with her. Same day (4th) she sent a screenshot to her friend complaining the screen was malfunctioning. I complained to Joe17 that same day, he said he was on the road and would respond to me. After ignoring me for long, this was his response

“Boss I can’t liability over this phone after one week sir
It’s was in perfect working condition before I sent,
I don’t understand what you mean by glitching after heat up due to low budget screen
I told you it doesn’t have True Tone, even though I didn’t change the screen myself, if at all it was replaced, that’s how Daazo1 picked it, exactly as I sold to you”

This response annoyed me cos he was aware I paid for the phone on 28th, got it on the 30th
Now from 30th-4th is just 5days.
I forwarded this to Kreamie and wildchild. Even the screen mirroring of our conversation. Joe17 first complained about time duration. When he saw that excuse wasn’t working, he came up with another excuse of me insulting him.Before I replaced the screen for the girl, I did a video of the old screen. The old screen is still in my office. The litmus is white no discoloration, so nothing like water damage. The screen is a low budget one.Am surprised someone is talking about my manner of approach. Does it now justify what Joe17 did?

I'll be frank , joe17 whenever there's an issue with regards a device you sold, the very first thing one expects from any seller is a listening ear and then a suggestion of how to address or resolve the issue not firstly who is to be held accountable or responsible for the particular issue , I've bought several deals with little issues , that I rarely ever disturb deal hunters about , sammuel okporua can bear witness .

Oga kreamie I'll implore you to look past the manner of each parties approach , the salient thing is to help them resolve the issue , most times we go out of character whenever we perceive things aren't going my way .

And I'm yet to see wildchild comment sad ,

5 days isn't too short for issues to be noticed, there are issues like panic full, that takes extensive usage before they are noticed.

My suggestion for both parties is to froth choose an engineer both of them trust , that would inspect and diagnose the cause of issue, then if it's water damage sirlop would cover the cost of repairs then if it's because of the poor quality of screen then joe17 you'll be the one to cover the cost . I think this way no one would feel hard done by .

Outrgightly saying since it's already past 5 days you can no longer accept the device, quite frankly isn't right. Remember these are used device and no one knows the history of the device, if the seller couldn't tell you it wasn't having true tone from the genesis , do you think he would share it with you ig the screen gets glitchy after extensive usage, let's all try to be considerate . 11 pro max screen no be moi moi .

I just remembered I've even bought two recently from my boss oga henrixx that he had to replace the screen for both devices, 240k loss , na God go save person .

The way you presented your case was flawed, you only wanted reasonable people to comment, maybe that’s why most people relaxed and watch from the back seat, so that they won’t be tagged unreasonable..

Hi everyone,

Please I need to raise a dispute though it did not originate from the pickup threads, it is from the technology market section on the following thread https://www.nairaland.com/6653741/order-goods-amazon-ebay-today. I contacted Mannyman to assist in purchasing iPhones from eBay after seeing his thread where he offers to buy items on eBay, Amazon, etc, though I had not transacted with him before now I was not too skeptical because I had done similar transactions with Mayoral who provides similar services here on Nairaland. I paid him for 4 iPhone X 64GB on September 8, 2021, and to date, he has only delivered one phone. I have asked him to refund the unused balance of 400,000 if he cannot make the purchases for me but as I write this, he has cut off communication with me no calls, and lately no WhatsApp.
Please see there is any assistance the members of this thread can render to assist me to recover my money or get my orders from Mannyman. Thanks.

Well let me believe you trusted him well, but next time, it shouldnt be more than 3 days, I buy on eBay steady, I don't see any reason why he wouldn't finish your purchase in 3 days after you paid him.

Omo, that 425 rate is looking sus, you said he delivered one, you can contact the dispatch to disclose his location. If it doesn’t work you can go and report his account for fraud with GTbank, with enough proof.

I believed he was looking to get clients since he was new in the biz according to him hence the slightly lower rate also, that he was able to make the first purchase which was delivered to my US address that I use for my purchases, I just decided to go ahead. Those were even supposed to be test purchases as I was planning to do larger numbers once these worked out well.
