How many ladies have come forward to accuse the politician of rape? That is exactly what we are talking about here. Standing against the fear these people put in their victims who can't speak up. If you know someone who has been raped by a politician and wants to speak up, this is the time for them to start speaking up. That is exactly what Busola has done, giving these ladies an opportunity to speak up and fear no more. So it's not about her case being with a pastor, it's about RAPE and the fear to speak up as a victim.
can't u understand what I wrote?.. politicians have been raping Nigerians!!!....I am not talking literarily!!

Hmmmm, when I connect the dots and see in between the lines, all I see in envious bunch of people carrying this matter for head basically because they feel the man shows off and obviously proud, even muslims too follow for the protest.

However, Abuja of all places
I wouldn't like to see this man as weak, powerless and confused, or probably broke to know what to do.

Call DSS, let them carry all of them as intruders and miscreants. Press heavier charges, after all they know his office and his house, not coming to disrupt the church activities, bunch of haters everywhere. The alleged "rape" wasn't in his church BTW.

I detest rapists, and can actually kill-yes kill because of them, but not till proven guilty by competent law court. The so called Ese says she wasn't raped but manipulated, now let's face it, 99% of men would wash/manipulate girls before having their way. A girl have also manipulated me to have me sleep with her, which I did against my will, should I now come and cry rape.

Does it mean none of all those jobless people carrying placards around can actually single handedly or collectively sue the man, rather than causing nuisance to the public space.
Nigerians are their own problem.

My own accusation/blackmail is on the way....watch out guys.

The family addressed this issue at the time it happened and put it aside.

If the man has changed and turned a new leaf looking at it from the Christian context shud it be addressed this way? Freeze gave a perspective to this.

I hate rapist bt I will like to address issues the right way also.
@ emboldened

Is Busola "the family"?

Was Busola the victim's feeling ever truly addressed?

I am a young man, and at about age 17-18, a pastor often called me to his office in Port Harcourt to teach him to use computers and huged me tight behind the door of his office. Then used his penis to try pressing on me. Because of fear, and confusion I often kept quiet. Till a day at about age 20 I visited the church he was posted to in Onitsha as I was returning on a journey. He made me pass the night, and made us sleep together in the parlour (his wife traveled). That night he attempted having sex with me, but I resisted all night, but didn't say a word till I got into a bus the next day on my way back to Port Harcourt, I sent him terrible text messages. He apologized. I forgave him. 5-6 years later in year 2011, when he opened his church in Ibadan, I donated N264,000 as a NYSC corper (I closed my account) to support his fledging church. It was only today, at age 33 that I summed up the courage to tell him, "never contact me again". Pastors have a controlling power on members. I didn't add, I also put his son on scholarship for about 2 years but ended this year (I paid over 250k to support his son, mainly because though he tried hurting me, he gave me books and advice that really helped me in business and life in general. He also once called a young entrepreneur who gave me this advice at age 18, "what will you want you children to call you? Papa or Daddy". That influenced my actions for life. I suggest pastors constantly go for counseling to avoid destroying the same people they build. He helped me see my talent in computer than studying medicine even when my parents forced me to study medicine. Pastors have strong influence
.

like homosexuality? I think pastors needs to resist the power of flesh that's ridiculing the embodiment of Christ in them and the house of God they lead

so sorry about your awful experience but I disagree that pastor has influence. anyone can influence you if you make yourself ready to be influence

in the part that he made your life change positively that's what Christianity should be seen doing. I know pastors misbehavior lately is a content of some unseen forces. they must all rise to resist the power of flesh not to ridicule the power of God

I hope I see someone that will declare a state of emergency on the poverty that's using me do tutorial

It's a very complicated matter. For the record...I am totally against any form of sexual abuse talkless RAPE. I ALSO HAVE NO SYMPHATY FOR A RAPIST.The lady however has little or NO CHANCE IN COURT. Even if some people volunteer to come forward to offer testimony. Its basically hearsay. The matter was not incidented with the Police in Ilorin. Their testimony is merely hearsay. There are stringent legal requirements to prove and secure conviction in a case of rape. Besides if am not wrong, the offence is status barred?!...Also most of what happens is now based on recollections. All the points above however does not however say the MAN OF GOD may not have committed the crime. My point in brief is absence of proof. Is not what one does, it's BASICALLY WHAT CAN BE PROVED.

U still went to his house, take u to car bumper and romp u in doggy and u call it rape?
Kwara state law says 16 years is the official year for consenting and u said u were 17 shey?
The lady still remain in the church for over 2 years and still lead in the choir haba.
If u are raped, the first thing to do is to tell your parents, your parents should take u to a doctor for examination and a medical report written, then to police or dss for arrest and possibly persecution....
What's paining me is the lie that just a tap to the mouth to keep quite and she fell on the couch to be disvirgin as if it's a small thing...

It’s easier said . You really think every 17 year old is the same or it’s easy to tell parents . My street sister was raped at 16 years and took her years she’s 27 now . Last two weeks she told me how she was raped because I asked few questions concerning her because of the way she usually misbehave . Till date she hasn’t even told her mom and sisters .

You saying someone came to your home and why can’t you tell him through the window . You seems daft with your thoughts . At 17 your pastor came and you really thinking she should answer him through the window ??

Even if the age in kwara states says 16 . Mr rape is rape . I just pray it happens to your own daughter and you would understand better .

Its takes some years some weeks and some days to come out . Everyone is different . Because you really don’t understand the phychological truma behind it .

Ordinary car accident I had two years ago . I still feel the Truma till date and it’s bothers me . You come here ranting rubbish thinking just one way .

Some ladies get raped threathened and again raped again by the same persons . The lady in question I was talking about was raped by the same person 3 times . And it has taken her 11 years for her to speak about it to me ...

a rape narrative whether true or false is never supposed to make sense or sound realistic. you say things the way u could recollect them. and seriously you're a slowpoke for saying it's a love affair gone wrong. maybe you forgot she's married to a successful artist with beautiful kids who are American citizens as well as Nigeria. Maybe u might think money is the problem too. If u also think she's clout chasing, she wouldn't dare to toil spoil her husband's reputation, which could cost him his endorsement and pride.. Be rational don't allow akamu take over your brain

I almost wept when I read your story. Most people don't know and won't understand what strong influences pastors have. They fill that longing in your soul for leaders, mentors, advisors and even fathers for those who are not so free with their fathers. The mistake people of influence such as pastors make is that they mistake the confused lack of resistance by their victims for consent which not even prostitutes can give without the conditions being right; I mean its like being raped by your own father! Also, they tend to utilise this influence to suppress all reactions against their randy and totally inappropriate behavior. People may call Christians gullible or sheeples but they have to realise that these pastors are the one being irresponsible!!!

He's a PASTOR for god füčking sake, Joromi! Pastors are like father figures for a lot of people. Infallible, Perfect. It might interest you to know that if someone of that nature hurts those kind of people, they may begin to think that they were the ones at fault.

In other words, she probably condoned the actions because of the respect she had for the man at the time. Plus her parents may have disbelieved her.

Now she obviously knows better. Kudos to husband who probably give her the much needed support she needs and she is now bold to come out. It however, does not underestimate or undermine the gravity of the offence for good f****** sake people! STOP BLAMING VICTIMS OF RAPE!!
