Now, the military had to right to them insisting that they do not actually need 12. They just need two. But the Senate committee insisted that they needed and must have 12.

At a price difference of about $1billion each, these congressmen are planning to make $10billion to $12billion in just one deal. I still insist that Nigeria is learning.

And when you're trying to go abroad to study, and they ask you to deposit an advance fee before your visa is approved, which most times the visa isn't approved, you don't think this is fraud? You don't call that corruption? Because it is approved by westerners?

May I also let you know that in the UK, a quack doctor scammed my nephew and his parents of 35,000 for a heart operation. The boy and his mother travelled down to the UK for the operation and the doctor net them at the airport, collected the balance and dropped them at their hotel. After two days without any word, they searched the address only to find out it was fake. The boy died in the hotel and his mum came back to Nigeria alone.

What do you people even think corruption is? I don't blame the person that started this thread because that individual is outright ignorant and won't deny it. But what baffles me is when intelligent people back up this kind of 99% data.

42% of Nigerians are between the ages of 0-14 years old. What kind of corruption are they engaged in? Skipping gym class?

15% of the Nigerian population are married women. Mostly house wives. What kind of corruption are they engaged in? Overpricing of foodstuff or excessive use of haggling skills?

1% of the Nigerian population are elderly women above 65 years of age. Is their corruption attending weddings and burials?

Let's even assume that all the adult males from 15 years and above, all the young ladies and all the elderly men are corrupt. I mean ALL! That will still amount to 42%. And we know this is not the case in reality there are a lot of honest young women out there who hardly step out of their parents houses, there are honest young men in the private sector: Access Bank, Haliburton, Shell, St Nicholas Hospital, CELTEL, Zinox, MTN and TotalFinaElf. Others are religious faithfuls.

Generally, I would say 10% of Nigerians are corrupt, 20% more are corruptible when adequately induced. That is a total of 30% corrupt and potentially corrupt Nigerians at maximum. So abeg you people should shun fabulous statistics that as one person said, was pulled out of HEYMA's arse!

This is absolutely true, i actually been waiting all day for this Yoruba guy to call me so i can get paid for a job i did at his house this morning. I always experience hardship with these guys all the time.
furthermore i think YAR Adua is among those 1%, for the simple fact that the man is not rich and if he was corrupt he wouldn't choose to be a teacher as the prominence of his family could allowed him to stash a whole lot of cash.
