rad8:This is a big lie. You are asked to declare cash/monetary instruments above 10k and not goods over 10k. With a MacBook pro 2019 2.4ghz an Apple watch and an iPhone, you already have goods worth 5k. 10k in goods is not hard to meet. 11 Likes 1 Share |

Next time.. dont bring in wrapped or seal items... for anything that will like brand new... I park my stuff well and declare it personal items.. since you can't find them sealed. For it to be brand new. |

My main concern is that this government is not accountable, judging from their refusal to account for how they they spend the recovered Abacha loot and other monies flowing into government account 3 Likes 1 Share |

AZeD1: You are correct, I apologize for that. However, if bring in goods,it must be within you duty-free limit (I.e it must be for your personal use or given as gift). However, you cannot sell it without paying duties. However, I've seen them stop some guys who arrived Heathrow with lots of expensive wristwatches without declaring them. |

That's preposterous. How can you charge a traveller for her personal item regardless of the cost? So if a traveller wears a rolex watch- a persona item- and arrives at the airport, then he has to pay a duty on that? It's one thing if the person is bringing the good in for sale but when its a personal item and probably has been in use, why make the person pay a duty? I can't for the life of me understand the reasoning behind that. 3 Likes 1 Share |

MoIbrahim:You guys supporting Buhari and this his custom boss taxing Nigerians anyhow, are you guys aware that this same custom boss closed down all the car dealership and car shops in Lagos some weeks ago, asking them to pay heavy taxes for selling smuggled cars in the past decades Some were mandated to pay as huge as 15million naira tax, for what You guys should keep supporting Buhari....but we the enlightened ones will keep sounding it for all to hear that Buhari and his cronies have finished Nigeria's treasury, so they are looking desperately for ways to raise money to cover up the money they looted and the ones they used in rigging the last election, kontinuuu, e concern me 3 Likes 1 Share |
