I want to advice you just take it

First your account has being reported
The bank is waiting for you
What is written on your account is arrest onsite

Solution
Go to the Police station make a formal report
Make sure the guy is on site if possible get him arrested keep him in the station the go to the bank

In the bank you will arrested just take them straight to the guy

Make sure your hands are clean

Tell them what you know about your account and nothing more
Don't complicate issues

Thank me later

Go to the bank and report the situation, but please go with a lawyer, because there is possibility that you might be arrested when you present yourself both to the police to the bank...
So my advice is get a lawyer to accompany you in all this

Don't go to the bank immediately.

Firstly, make a report to any Police station close to you. They will take the case from there.
Best advice

Bros, go to the bank first thing on Monday morning.

Let them review your bank activities with proof that you have never been involved in such

Don not go to to the Bank, i repeat never go to the bank, your case might be settled in yhe law court, a friend is currently suffering from same isaue, his own is to the tune of 50M

Don't make the mistake of going to the bank. Whatever kept you busy today- you should thank it.

Since your acct was flagged for fraudulent activities, there might be an apprehend on sight instruction on your acct. You will be arrested by the bank's security and handed over to whichever security detail is in charge. Sometimes they even come from other states- E go be like extradition. Depends on the gravity of the story behind that money or where the case started from.

Go to the police and report yourself (like some people below have suggested, with a lawyer). The NPF are the ones that would establish evidence of your innocence and give the bank. It isn't going to be a quick process. Your acct would be restricted for a while, at least from online transactions.

Stop giving your acct numbers to people for inflows. Some have received ransoms without knowing. Until they arrest them inside the banking hall. Their cluelessness on the matter at hand makes them even try to resist arrest. Trust Naija police na. You go collect better sliding tackle.
That part about the sliding tackle got me

This is the best thing to do. Make sure you have evidence of your conversation before going to police station, from there you can now proceed to the bank. Cos I've heard series of this type of case over the radio whereby the bank will ask you to wait after lodging your company and they will call police to come and arrest you, that you are a fraudster.

It's so funny how arrests are made in the bank. I was once arrested inside the banking Hall. I went with a friend to collect our IT money, he was paid his 15k but I was told to sit down in an executive chair close to the AC, the lady excused herself and pleaded with me to be patient, the innocent me didn't know that there is fire on the mountain, the next thing 2 heavy policemen came in and jacked me up by my trouser. Before you know it, I was bundled outside the banking Hall and was told to sit on the floor. The next thing they started accusing me that I am part of the criminal gang that has been cashing other people's money, that I have been caught and I will mention others. I started explaining myself showing ID telling them I am the real person, it entered deaf ears, to cut the long story short, I quickly sent my friend to the school to look for a lecturer to come identify me. Luckily for me a lecturer that knows me agreed to come to the station to identify me, after which I was released.

I over heard people inside the bank saying "awon omo tin se Yahoo Yahoo ni, owo to ba eleyi" grin grin the disgrace was just too much.

If u go to the bank, they will arrest you first and hand you over to the police, all your explaination will be done at the police station

grin tongue

Immediately go to the police first then go to the bank to report. Don't worry, you won't be accused of fraud because fraudsters don't turn themselves in like this. Do these immediately. Next time, don't give out your account details no matter what.
he should not give out his a/c details

My old oga at the top used to send all of us to the atm. Must have been some way of asserting dominance. Anyways we then got these nysc students. Na so one of them shared the man's pin to his crew. Those ones started some Transactions with ogas card. The foolish boy was not even from a poor home for that matter. His sister was a colleague in of all things, Internal control and audit.

I don't know how the foolish boy thought he could steal/shit in the place where he ate. That was the end of his nysc in our company.

My Brother Can I advice you!!!

9ja is a zoo country!!! Very Lawless, this Case you are seeing as a small case, You and your Family will end up spending over 500k to 1M for you to be a Free Man.

The day you go to the Bank and try to explain yourself that very day you will be arrested and straight to the State Head Quarters where the Victim of the Fraud is Residing. So my Brother think very well!! Ok. If you have any Lawyer as a Friend or Family get him involved why because you cannot afford the service of a Lawyer you don't know in this Case.

Try get every evidence you can, Voice Record of your conversation with your Friend.

If you are Lucky you will be locked up at the Police Station. But if you are not you will be Reminded at the Prison Minimum 6 Months to 1Year. Just do everything to prove your Innocent as evidence ASP. Because I am Talking out of 1st hand Experience.

All the Best.
but op doesn't want to report his friend na, he's busy saying shit

Chat that guy up or call him on phone and have ur conversation recorded. Make sure in ur talk u make it clear in record that u don't know anything and make sure he confirms it thru ur dialogue ..never allow him know u are recording ur call. If it chatting try doing a voice note to him so he a reply...if the above is successful g to the nearest and trusted lawyer to go with u to the police to make a report n the happenings.show them ur record as prove of ur Innocence. Then go to the bank and correct the error fast before ur friend rans far the police will get him down and he will bring the rest ofhs gang
babe go with this advice
Re: A Friend Transferred Money Into My Account, About To Put Me In Trouble! by ShegzyB: 1:54pm On Dec 01, 2019
Wherever you go in respect of this situation, bank or police station, NEVER GO ALONE. Go with your Dad or a lawyer.
Go with all the evidence you have at your disposal to prove your innocence. If he said it's his dad's money, collect his dad's number and explain yourself to the man. if he refuses to give you the number, more trouble, hence dont buy that story.
You just make sure you inform your Father and ensure he's with you wherever you go.

Hope you learned your lessons tho.

Kpele.

Hello Nairalanders,

I had to create this new Acct to post this
Pls permit my typographical errors
Last week Saturday I was reading when I got a call from a friend that he needs my account number because his account can’t take the sum of money he wants to receive from the person that wants to transfer for him I asked him how much he said 300K I said jokingly that he should go and get a better account and stop operation student accounts. So I sent him my account details and the person sending him money credited my account 50K I told him that I revived only 50K not 300K he said yes that the person has reached his limit for the day ..

I seen him his money later in the evening via Quickteller because the server was not good and I was left with only 22K that was in my account before ok good ..

Fast forward to yesterday Evening I tried checking my account my login in and I noticed my account has been restricted I was confused on what might have happened I thought it’s something simple that I’ll walk to the bank and perfect it .. then I decided to message the costumer care I was told I need to update my Bvn informations that I should dial a particular number and follow instructions I tried it but it’s not working .

I’m suppose to visit the bank today but I was busy

Just after my Pratical in school today I was sitting when my guy called me again that is there anything wrong with my account he said I should not go to the bank because the 50K transaction that was sent earlier was fraudulent I was like wtf but he dropped the call ..

I called him again his contact was not available so after sometimes he messaged me online telling me the guy that sent it used his brothers account and he told him that it’s not from his account that his own personal account has been locked too because he later revived money directly from him and that’s how he got to know ..

What i’m after is a solution now can I go to the bank and explain my self already or what can I do to make all this not to bounce on me because I know noting about it I’ve never received any fraudulent transactions before someone said I should take him along to the bank and just hand him over when anything happens all
I need is a solution right now me mad the guy went to same primary school and secondary so I know him very well and made me trust him with my account what can I do right now

I think you should speak to a lawyer rather than plenty advice from all of us here.

Even though you were born the same day. Do not give your account details to anyone. My childhood friend is in the prison for this silly mistake. Dont fall ooo. Dont trust people because u attend same secondary school. That excuse is not enough. My friend is languishing in the cell .

My dad contacted the dad of the guy that I toted the transfer we found out he was even the one that took his dad to the police station to report the case, now they are claiming we should not be offended it will be very hard to go back to the policemen and tell them they want to call of the case because they will surly ask who the criminal was and he can't possibly present his son
