I understand the plea for women to be independent and I am sure a host of other ladies out here do too. However, the same society that frowns at women being overly dependent would still frown at women who are doing well for themselves. I invariably, have come to terms with this reality and I am doing me, not for the purpose of validation by the society, but for my own satisfaction...and if another woman's definition of suiting herself means her being dependent and a leech, I won't tag her lazy. To each, his own!
