frndfghtr:
I am an okada man, operating from Orile to Cele bustop highway, I came across a woman lying lifeless on the road, people gathered around her, no one to rescue her or to take her to hospital, all her cloth was stained with blood, I called some people and they put the woman on my bike, we rushed her to primus hospital ijesha, where the doctor were very rude and requested for card money which one woman transferred 3k to the doctor.

Later the doctor rejected the patient and ordered me to take the woman out of their hospital, that the injury is too much, unknowingly to me all the people that followed me down to the hospital have ran away, I refused to take the woman away, the doctor and the held me hostage in the hospital and called ijesha police for me, they came and Seized my okada, insisting that I will take the woman to LUTH hospital by all means, failing to do so I will be held responsible for anything that happen to the woman.

They started making fun of me by calling me, GOOD SAMERITAN, HERO, HELPER , THAT CANT HELP HIMSELF, that is why will i carry whom i don't know on the way to hospital?

I started crying, luckily to me another good sameritan showed, this one is KEKE MARUWA rider, he encouraged me, full of confidence, that he will support me let's take the woman to LUTH hospital with his kekemaruwa.

For complete 5 hours this woman was seriously bleeding, From 8pm I brought her to the useless hospital till 1am Early morning, that was when the Keke man showed, the police refused to assist with their so called TOLL FREE PATROL VEHICLE, I called 911they answer but not show up, me And the keke man now took the woman to the LUTH hospital around 1am with a police report, KUDOS TO LUTH hospital, they rushed the woman to emergency and commenced surgery immediately, me and the Keke man spent like 10k for the drugs and other things that night, in the LUTH.

To the glory of almighty Lord, she is recovering, and the family have come, I be taking back my okada, from the police.

The little I can get the video.

That's me asking her of her biography, more video to com

God bless you for saving life

You are your house hold will never be in a stranded situation that you will require emergency

God will protect your own life for helping this woman from death

As for those who frustrated your efforts, they will experience what it is to need help in which ever way

As for the keke driver, God will rescue him at a point of need

As for the police that harasses your peace, they are already coursed and they know that, that's why nothing moves them

For the Doctor and the hospital management that tricked you to pay card money and reject the patients and still ask for police to come

They will experience rejection from people coming to their hospitals and they will know how hurtful it is to be rejected

Private hospitals should not run emergency services. She should never have been taken to the private hospital in the first place and an ambulance should have taken her to LUTH.
Ambulance services and A/E services should work hand in hand. No private hospital should have any business with this.
Private hospitals can help alleviate the pressure on the health system by dealing with non emergency cases, elective surgeries, child birth and minor minor cases but not emergencies like this.
There should be a law against private hospitals taking cases like this, but becasue the government knows its incompetent and they're only after their pockets they will allow private hospitals to continue to take the bulk of their ineptitude.
Let the government open A/E services in strategic places in different towns, let them strengthen ambulance services. That's not too much to ask as citizens.

This stuff youre saying is relevant but a bit too broad for this topic.

The fact is that the private hospital should have done what they could since there was no ambulance. If they wanted to protect themselves from litigation in case she died in their care they should have filed correct paperwork showing that they intended to send her on to a more appropriate facility

All the noise they made there was very uncalled for.

Short of words but all I can say is that God bless you real good & you'll never lack help when you need it.

A big question for all of us thanking & blessing him; would you have done same thing he did if you were the one that saw the woman?

Ponder on this and keep your response to yourself.

God bless you again bro

The best doctor is the one that knows his limit. I really don't think any private hospital should kept this kind of injury .. They are meant for specialist, which are readily available in a teaching hospital.
but they were quick enough to collect money for card abi..

Abeg STFU, the lady might need to be stabilised or attended to on a first aid basis before onward transmission to a teaching Hospital .... The best the Docs should have done was to advice and not raining insults.... Thank God they didn't attend to her, they might have kill her there ....

Toh, OP.... May the God of Nature and all that is therein absolutely reward you absolutely and may the same God keep protecting us against all forms of Evils and Devilish acts, amen !!
I remember rushing two accident victims to a private hospital that was close. This hospital was the best within the vicinity. The doctor asked us not to bring them down from the vehicle until he checks them. After physical examination, he rejected them. The doctor said they had multiple fractures and invariably they may not survive. We rushed them to FMC. Immediately we arrived, they picked them up and commenced treatment. We opened file for them. Do you know that we didn't spend one naira for them to commence emergency treatment? Funny enough, after several xray, it turned out none of them had a broken bone. It was just dislocation and then bruises. Its better to gamble rushing someone to a federal facility than going to a private one, then you waste time negotiating deposit, arguing whether to commence treatment, police report etc. The same time you should have used to rush to a federal facility.

I'm sick and tired of this zoo called Nigeria, no emegency services and ambulance. No universal free medical services. Yet we pay increasing taxes. Op, God bless and reward you handsomely.
Which Ambulance?? I saw a post on twitter where someone was narrating how an Ambulance hit someone and ran away....!!
I don't even know what to say in cases like this, The last person i helped on my own o, The Doctors & Nurses were just tasking me as if am the cause of the predicaments, The painful thing was that, I wasn't with cash, they refused transfer payment, still refused to let me go and withdraw money from the ATM saying i will run away even after I suggested to drop my costly phone worth hundreds of thousand, then I knew some Doctors don't have sense....

I don't understand why some human beings can be so wicked. Just look at what they did to the poor woman's face. Her life would never be the same. For how much? Is it worth it?
