Igbo Amaka , we are developers and we will develop our region ourselves , we are not like some people from one region who sold out their lands to Indians , labanise , Chinese , that's modern day colonization
Go and tell that to Americans.

You simply can't attract external investors, simple. undecided

The size of the city is far bigger than Eko Atlantic city, please can you mention one city in Nigeria that offer all th facilities in AMC

Is Awka not a city? Why does Awka not have all d facilities that u say AMC offers? Is AMC a city on its own? How can u have a city within a city? How did u arrive at d conclusion that AMC is a city?

Typical, quality is better than quantity.

Who even sabi this village and backyard buildings outside of your village?

Abeg leave Eko Atlantic alone and face your village and mushroom activities..

grin grin

Sometimes it's better not to say anything, thou it's a laudable project but as far as comparing it to Eko atlantic is nothing to argue about. Let hiwm enjoy his post we all know the truth.

Ongoing international conference center(ICC) within the zone, Gov Obiano is going to leave legacy projects in Anambra.

5,000 capacity international conference center

How is this a legacy project? Why were d funds not used to improve infrastructure in Awka as a whole?

New infrastructural projects are always welcome.

But correct me if I am wrong, Awka is only a city itself so this project that is inside Awka cannot legally be recognised as a city.

Can you have a city inside a city?

Why not call it something Millennium Estate or Millennium District or Millennium Town?

Being honest would help manage visitors expectations and protect you from future ridicule.

shut up. If you can't make a post without throwing shades at other ethnic groups, you need a brain transplant.

There is a place in Enugu where a Chinese firm uses Igbo kids on hazardous task of making charcoal for peanuts. Hope you are aware?

Thanks to Akuluouno initiative, igbo land is on the rise.

Anambra has Awka Millennium city, and Garden of Eden City

Abia state has Enyimba Economic City

Enugu has The Centenary city and HELIU

Ebonyi has the rapid mordernization of Abakaliki City which is spurring massive real Estate investment because of new infrastructures

Imo state has New Owerri and there is also a New City planned to be launched by the new government.

Good Job Ndigbo. You are beginning to learn that you cannot abandon your home to go and develop another mans land

Any information on that garden of Eden city project.

Well, I can see a fence and a gate. Surely you simply cannot 'fence in' a city and place a 20 foot wide gate at its entry, eh. What kind of city has only a dual carriageway running into it. Isn't that a plan for traffic congestion and grid lock.

I think the term 'city' is more political as refering to independent infrastructure, administration, etc rather than the usual size, demographic or complexity. It looks more like a gated community.

Kudos though. I am more in favour of similar concepts but for industrial purposes complete with independent power and intra rail links.

Oga,

I'm not discouraging you. Actually, i like that you regularly update the Anambra thread. But creating all these threads up and down take away what you should have been posting on the Anambra thread. Instead of consolidating one thread is my point. Someone might come here and make an important point which is often lost because in 2 days, this thread will be on page 50 of nairaland. But The Anambra thread will still be on page 1.

Like market traders that often believe you bought a ware because they talked you into it, not because you needed it. Too many people make the mistake of thinking people do things because you asked them. As if you are their master! Yet, they are billionaires and those typing in nairaland have barely made N1 million in their entire lives! Those that engage in real Aku luo uno don't do it because of nairaland. They are encouraged by real policies of Obiano to make investment easy and safe.
If you copy from here and post it in the said thread that you forcefully want him to post, will you hand break and will you die? undecided

your last paragraph does it for me. Industries is what is needed. Too many houses in Anambra does not do much to the economy of the state.
