So Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and the PDP never thought of opening the ports in the SS which is the base of the PDP

PDP na real wicked party
GEJ started dredging the port but yorubas that control the NPA in Lagos insist and subotage the effects he made because of ononile or whatever they call it.

Keep deceiving yourself.

Like you have the market there when more than half of your population is dispersed across the West.

Which buisnessman will divert his cargo to the East knowing he will have to hualage it to the West.

It's 1+1. Not difficult to phantom.

They will rather still pay higher to bring there cargos to the West

The failure of successive governments to revive the other ports across the nation is simply because of parochial, economic & political sentiments.Other regional economic bodies e.g.NDDC should have long rose up to the challenge.

There was no parochial or political sentiments attached when GEJ was president and failed to do so despite being from the south south and touted by those in the South east as Our brother since his name was Ebele.

The non functioning of the ports in the east or south south was simply due to the ineptitude of past leadership and their inability to follow through on developmental strides.

PMB is head and shoulders above them because we have all seen time and time again that he does what he says.

You will never cease your usual nonsensical posts

Only a dishonest person would say Buhari hasn't tried.

Successive governments have come and gone, yet they ignored the 2nd Niger bridge, railways, ports in the east, even roads.

We've been importing rice and even as poor as the average Nigerian is, he believes farming is beneath him.

Buhari has taken us back. Yes back to where we should have started. The foundation.

Don't be a zombie.

Those you fought for have switched allegiance from PDP to APC, yet you keep crying.

Key into the policies of today's government and watch how things unfold quickly.

Everything they abandoned and let rot for decades are steadily coming to life in under one single administration.

Sadly, the people and the direct beneficiaries of these wonderful and significant outcome won't hesitate to vote for and return the same people responsible for the decades old rot, neglect and abandonment.

what's Tolu saying... there's nothing like Eastern port

we only have
Western ports and
South South ports
Cry baby cry.
It would continue to be called eastern ports for two reasons

It was parts of the Eastern region(there is no geographical area called south south anywhere in the world).
And ports are a geographical location.

And two, the ports are closer home to the real importers.
It would help onitsha, aba and Nnewi more than even the host communities.

You can jump into a lagoon.

That is not my concern. GEJ never used the full form of his own Ebele because he wanted to keep deceiving my people from the SE with that name so they would feel he is very close to them

Rivers state just need a decent governor to end the Lagos monopoly forever.
They are the most equipped to do it, but they keep electing the likes of wike.

The energy capital, a major port fully dredged, access to population.
This is an industry goldmine.

Revival you say

Rivers Niger and Benue are almost as useless as tissue paper to Nigeria. But over the years, government have paid lip service to the issue of dredging. One of the reasons Onitsha Port is still comatose after concessioning (apart from deliberate act to create legal hiccups) is the issue of cataracts and rapids, which makes the rivers not to support bigger vessels.
Onitsha port not yet concession

And Buhari is doing what to the Yorubas? I wonder why your lot always claim Monopoly of knowledge when there is no difference between you and the same Igbo people you insult everyday. And mind you it is the Azikiwe that he used more to campaign to the Igbos. Even at that I wonder how that is a problem to you. You are not even Igbo. undecided

Nwokem I am Igbo and I do not insult my own people. Talking to them so they can stop their myopia is no insult.

Iche n'am bu onye ofe mmiri ?

The Azikiwe he used was it not the same deception? Is GEJ fit to even lace the shoes of Nnamdi Azikiwe?

It was an insult to have someone so clueless and so stupid trying to stand with Azikiwe.

When did ports like the Warri ports become EASTERN PORTS?

or the one at Onne Rivers state?

These ports are in the South South region ( Niger delta )

Although, it will still serve the economic interest of the South East region.

North south east west are the cardinal points.

There is also NE, SE, NW and SW but no South South (SS)

EASTERN PORTS is correct geographically.

5% is inconsequential in today's national politics

Stop feeling too important.
many Yorubas are educated illiterates.

What Buhari meant by 5% is not that Igbos are 5% of Nigeria's population, he was saying that out of the 100% votes he got, that Southeast and Southsouth only gave him 5% while the gave 95% to opposition PDP (Goodluck), that therefore it is justified if he does not do much political favor to them. But Yorubas out of their envy and hatred for Igbo + their educated illiteracy prefer to interpreted it as Igbos being 5% of Nigeria's population when global population record by UNDP shows that there are over 30million Igbos and Nigeria's population is estimated at around 180million when UNDP published this data.

Which means if you divide Nigeria into 6 parts, 1 part is made up of Igbos, Yoruba make una try get sense small, haba

If a honest census is conducted in Nigeria, the result will be like this:

Hausa = 32%
Igbo = 24%
Yoruba = 25.5
Fulani = 4%
Ijaw = 5%
Idoma = 4.5%
Others = 5%

So get your facts right and stop being unnecessarily stupid
