Modernization comes with a price. The pain for development is always temporary.

Lagos State is trying to expand the ability to meet with the ever expanding population and if not done right would leave the state looking like a big pile of rubbish.

Transportation has to be done right if the state is to ensure increasing population would not destroy her

The more Keke or Okada on the streets as an answer to increasing population and desire to meet their transportation needs would be counterproductive.

Okada and Keke should remain off the roads in the areas already declared banned

Modernization indeed. India and Thailand with kekes are not modernized? Is your IQ retrograde?
So Lagos state meets the transportation need of the expanding population by thripling transport fares and removing other options for transport?
Just like some people have been out of income since the keke ban, may your income be cut short too.

Is just like asking the governor to retain terrorist and ban book haram. What a daft appeal! Do you know that those irrational human being who succeeded from riding Okada are the same person that start riding Keke?

It's sad what we've turned this democracy into. They are begging. Begging.

Begging someone you employed.

This is sad.

You do not need to insult me to make a point.

You actually sound very stupid when you begin a comment with an insult. Learn to know how an upgraded IQ which you claim to have should communicate.

We are not India and we are not Thailand and we must not follow their pattern.

Everyone has their own blueprint in accordance to what suites them.

Lagos has had issues with town planning and construction and thus a lot of residential dwellings in places they should not have been which resulted in more people in that area.

Trying to flood the state with Okada creates chaos in the already chaotic town planning scenario I already gave.

In order to create order you need to first clear out the mess.

Okada and Keke have created a lot of chaotic mess and even as they know this, they still refuse to follow simple directives on how to behave, ride or protect themselves and others.

The more populated Lagos is, the more deaths based on carelessness and the harder it would be to upgrade the state.

Those Okada and Keke should remain off the streets. People should begin patronizing alternatives. Our waterways are being opened up and more buses being rolled out and even more will follow.

Traffic lights would be fixed to ensure traffic control and smoother movement rather than the usual chaos and more traffic controllers deployed.

At the end of the day all people should seek for is order. Order brings less stress and less noise.

Did you notice I did not insult you while passing my point across?

I read here that the ban is to send back nigeriens or so...why are people having alternative view of the ban?...some say is a welcome development because the so called okada people are jihadist(na nairaland I take see am ooo)....others like you say it is an unwelcome development

Sanwoolu needs to think fast. Ban all bikes in major city except private estate bikes, return keke and formal Uber bikes.

Case closed!

My own opinion is that the ban shouldn't be lifted but Lagos State govt should avail Taxi to replace the Keke Napep on those route and the tfare will remain same cost. The ban helps to sanitize Lagos State even though I struggled to get bus to Obalende yesterday and it was 100 instead of 50

With respect to your good opinion can you or anyone quantify pain and stress, and agony Lagosians will go through all in the name modernization?? If you asked me the decision to ban Keke marwa, at this point in time is senseless, lacks common sense and does not project a government that's sensitive the yearning of the masses, Govenor Sanwolu has a 2 time commissioner in Lagos with a reputable track record if his excuses of putting a ban on keke and okada, has security implication I expect him to call for a intelligence gathering of security operation of security experts, officers and personnel working underground that will nip in the bud any security issues in Lagos with solid arrangement to provide alternative means that would ease means of transportation in Lagos state do you know how many able men using keke as means to provide for their families.

Am so sorry for us we paying for the sin, coup and contempt of APC against Ambode.

Ambode also had a developmental plan and never for once did he ban keke or okada because he knows many lives depend on daily survival of this as a means to help their families.

Wonders shall never end.

So the people are now the ones begging the governor, instead of the governor to be the one begging the citizenry of lagos.

What an insult on democracy.

Democracy is disappointed with the lagosians.
