AfrokanGod: Lol you know your original comment makes no sense. Now you have switch the goal post to other issues. At first dan Fodio should be celebrated and remembered as a terrorist now it's about taxes. Dont take medicine for some elses headache. As you said Dan Fodio is northern Nigeria's problem. |

Re: Usman Dan Fodio: Founder Of The Sokoto Caliphate by AfrokanGod: 6:30pm On Feb 27, 2020 |
Blue3k2:Remove Northern Nigeria from Nigeria.Southerners shouldn't be sharing a country with people who literally worship Danfodio. Before Bokoharam attacked the central mosque in Kano, Bokoharam was also celebrated in the North.Southern Nigeria can never move forward with an anchor/parasite like Northern Nigeria 2 Likes |

eagleu: Thank u! Meet an Hausa scholar and he will tell you how fulanis used religion to brainwash them into allowing them to Lord over them as Allah representative in Nigeria. By the time they knew it, everything was taken over by them and they were relegated to the villages to farm. Not only farm but farm for the fulanis who has also taken over their lands. The fulanis are the most educated in the north. So all govt openings naturally went to them. In as much I hate politicians, I can see what ganduje is doing. He isn't a fulani puppet like kwankwanso and if that man still stays in the corridor of power in the next 10 yrs, the hair as will fight those people. He has systematically made Hausa people emirs irrespective of the story behind that. That office is strictly fulani. He is chasing their children out of the street. Once they are educated, they can challenge the fulanis. That's the only way 5 Likes |

Dreason: He was a fulani man. He was simply born and grew up the region. The fulani were always around doing living their nomadic lifestyle. As this story implies some settled. |

The OP merely romanticized Dan Fodio. For instance, saying he retired from war is mere simplification. Dan Fodio ran mad - he became mentally unstable and had to be resigned to indoors. 2 Likes |

eagleu: LOL This couldnt be more inaccurate. Muhammad Rumfa was a king of kano in the 15th century, long before fodio was born. Rumfa himself was one of the first pioneers of islam in hausa land following the footsteps of Ali Yaji I, the first muslim ruler of kano. Muhammad Rumfas main adviser was Al Maghili. Dan Fodio revolted against Yunfa not rumfa. |

StaffofOrayan: Fulanis have been living in the sahel region for a very long time, they have been a part of various african empires. They were a prominent part of hausa land and in kano especially the even had seats in the council of 9 (kingmakers) since the middle ages. Fodios war is not different from any war waged during the dark ages or any of the napoleonic wars or any of the many wars waged in europe and other continents. Its not a question of what fodio did, he clearly had good intentions given the time period or else the lower class most of whom were hausas wouldnt have joined his army. Plus most hausa states were experiencing an economic downturn during this age but the caliphate was able to revive their economies. Its not about living in the past and questioning actions that were not peculiar in their respective time periods, the vikings were war mongers and now the most peaceful people on earth. Its about leaving the past where it belongs and carving out a future for our children. |

StaffofOrayan: Thank you very much. Blue3k2 seems to be the new mouthpiece of the Sokoto caliphate. However, just like you said, I think Danfodio does not deserve to even be talked about cos it's a very big shame that many years later, the people whom he conquered to purify their islam and lead them are now the poorest, most illiterate and backward people in the world. Danfodio destroyed the Hausa race and rendered them very backward and unproductive. Such a shame. 1 Like |

Every post from StaffofOranyan is instructive and educative...I got tired of giving Likes and I decide to just write a comment and say this guys is Oranyan incarnate. There is nothing in his post not to like, NOTHING! This is not a good time for fulani in Nigeria. Under democracy and new age knowledge, all the myths of fulani nobility and dan fodio's acts of godliness are rubbished. It is clear to see now that Sokoto caliphate and its franchised Emirates practiced terrorism, kidnapping, human trafficking, and all other vices and atrocities demonstrated in bokoharam. Imagine if we didnt have internet to get live updates and knowledge, some people will deceive us into believing Shekau is a man of god and the Army is the terrorist. 6 Likes 1 Share |

itsme01:Abeg stop sugar coating it. He was the Boko Haram founder of that age. Had Shekau or Yusuf overran Northern Nigeria since 2003 they would be called Sheikh and pious leader by now. The man destroyed thousands of years of rich Hausa way of life. Period. 3 Likes 1 Share |

AreaFada2: if you read my later comments, I agreed to the fact that what he did is terrorism and I clearly compared him with others in his league who invaded other peoples territory for spoils of war, like King Solomon and David in the bible, the greatest of all war criminal and looter , King Julius Cesar the ruthless war criminal who is barely second to Solomon in history, British Monarchy on colonization expedition, and Adolf Hitler all this people forcefully took control of other peoples territory through bloody war killing and looting, but then the topic is about Dan fodio and the little good about him, just has we talk of the others and the little good about them and their conquers 2 Likes |

eagleu: Yes thank you for telling this truth outrightly to Blue3k2. But you forgot to add that Mallam Dendo (a fulani offspring/follower) of Danfodio also did the same thing to the Nupes in Nupe land. Danfodio and his Fulani army conquered Hausas, Ilorin and Nupes with exactly the same treachery technique. They come in peace as friends and the destroy the society and take over from within. It is only Gombe, Jalingo (Muri) & Yola that fulanis conquered directly through war without treachery.... They however used treachery to maintain and expand it. 4 Likes |

sassysure:In as much as you You made a good point, I did like to point out some few errors, Kwankwaso and ganduje are both Fulani's, the only Hausa man to have rule Kano state as a was Shekarau . You can imagine how they have conquered the hausas even though they are the majority in Kano yet all Kano govs and emir of kano are Fulani, take ilorin for instance, what is Fulani population there yet is only Fulani man that can occupy that position of emir of ilorin 2 Likes 1 Share |

Blue3k2: Why is it a surprise that the Hausa king sought the advice of someone with a university education in 1742 when we still have all sorts of experterates serving in Nigeria today? You can blame him for being fooled, just like Afonja, but you can certainly see that happening. On the other side, you don't see Yoruba or Igbo muslims going to Sokoto and preaching to the people that the sultan is practicing impure islam without a blowback: this goes against your revisionist idea that Hausa people supported a foreigner like Fodio against their own king without a lot of military and strategic manipulations thanks to his advanced education. 2 Likes |

Nowenuse: You're another clown that doesn't know the historical context. Now it's dan Fodio fault they're are poor centuries after. You guys have mumu logic. By that logic it's luggards fault nigeria a 3rd would country 60 years after independence. Lol losers will always find someone to blame maintain their victim narratives. The problems thst exist that region can bea result of policies they had. Everyome else manages to advance but you excuse mongers are blind to it. eagleu: You're cant see the inherent contradiction in your post. You claim dan Fodio was an illegal alllien then say the king employed him. Thst means he had permission to be in the land. Your oint is also wrong since dan fodio was born and grew up in Gobir. He wasnt an outsider. Lol you excuse mongers always have some justification for foolishness. He had the means to send his own subjects to acquire education and learn. He could brought teachers and books. Dan fodio declared war after attacked first. Dan Fodio having followers of many ethnicities isnt revisionist. The taxes burden, religious persecution by Yunfa and assassination attempt led people to war against him. Is it manipulative to change minds? 2 Likes |

Taqiyya (Lies and Deception) Islamist number one tool of warfare. If you ask Muslim fundamentalist today if Boko haram are muslims, they (islamist) will lie to your very face that boko haram are not true muslims. They'll say boko haram are mere criminals damaging the name of Islam. But these same Islamist celebrates one of the most savage muslim murderer and babarian to ever emerge out of West Africa, Usman Dan Fodio. They see him as their hero. A holy man who fought a holy war (JIHAD) for entrenchment of true islam. The same true islam Shekau is fighting for through genocide. Isn't that a coincidence? Why are islamist identifying with dan fodio and denying Abubakar Shekau? Because they don't want us (infidels) to know that Jihad has been declared on us. As cowards as they really are, islamist fundamentalist are scared shit of face to face combat. They dread it because they're simply not good at it. The only way islamist stand a chance in achieving victory in warfare is to keep the opponent in the dark. That's why they depends on element of surprise to wage war on their victims. Fulani muslim fundamentalist may sponsor propagandist to write lies to paint Usman Dan fodio as a noble man who fought for true islam, but a look at fulani behaviour and babaric genocidal activities today gives Nigerians a clearer picture of who Dan fodio really is - A mass murderer! Those celebrating dan fodio are secretly celebrating the head of Boko haram, Abubakar Shekau in their hearts. Dan Fodio is a bloody mass murderer, slave trader, and a muslim terrorist nothing more nothing less. ONE NIGERIA IS DEAD! 5 Likes 1 Share |
