Yes, people have wells and boreholes in their homes in Nigeria. That is true. However, many areas of Nigeria are still unwatered, so to speak. It is high time private companies from advanced countries are invited to invest in the Water Industry of Nigeria. We have done it with TV Cable, Mobile Telephony and Internet Providers. Why not completely privatize water supply to homes in Nigeria? It will be a great move by the Federal Government.

in this digital 21st century era some ppl in naija still go to streams and rivers to go and bath ..and i am not refering to villages but to townships and some cities in nigeria.

Pipe borne water is a luxury. Pretty much like any other basic necessity

the govt here makes use of the carribean sea and atlantic ocean to provide water for the ppl.the country is an island just like lagos.there are water taps everywhere on the street.i am shocked that even in lagos that is close to the ocean many ppl dere still lack pipe bourne water.in nigeria if u have running water inside ur house u are regarded as a wealthy man but over here many common ppl have running water at their home.lagos has the atlantic ocean close to it..other states have river niger and river benue close to them but many of such states are lacking water and yet they say river niger is the largest river in africa .who swear for nigeria.

Very true especially in the west where they don't have pipe borne water, they drink from untreated wells which is worst during rainy seasons due to poor drainage.

I said BOOST immunity not confer perfect immunity. The kind of cholera, typhoid and malaria parasite load that a single average Nigerian carries wiyhout showing any symptoms would probably fell a dozen oyinbos if it could be shared equally between them.

i am not talking about malaria cos u have mosquitos in any tropical environment.i am talking about dysentry and cholera.na our dirty habits dey give us such disease.when u drink water from well wey fowl and goat don poo inside or go river go drink water wey one ppl don poo inside u will contact the disease.thats why a lot of ppl in ogun state and some northern states got infected with cholera some yrs back of which many of them died from it.our immunity cant protect us from the devastating effect of dysentry and cholera.

true many nigerias dont also dont have toilets in their homes.u will be surprised that in some townships there are no toilets in the houses they rent.they come out at night to poo in the open or they poo inside a black cellophane bag and use the bag do shotput(throw the poo from the window over the fence)

Okay, remove malaria from my comment. The rest of it is still true. Once again, boost means strengthen not make completely invulnerable. All these medical textbooks that you are writing for me are giving me headache.

My undergraduate project was on quality of water supply in Southwest Nigeria (research findings already published). More than 70% Nigerians lack access to potable water and suffer water borne diseases frequently. Anyways, the government isn't bothered, why should I??

Yes, those are problems, but even so, the primary fault still lies with the masses. It's hardly as if the APC and the PDP were the only alternatives during the last elections, yet how much support did any of the numerous alternative candidates get?

Let's face facts, most ordinary Nigerians care more about who is sharing free rice and petrol on election day - or which candidate is from their "zone" - than they do about any of the fruits of good governance. A political class is only ever as good as its electorate.

Bad leadership and good governance is lacking in NIGERIA

Akwa ibom has a water works company but no pipe borne water I wonder what is the use of an office if there is no water. Nigeria is funny.
