OBJ is going to die when he will, not because some people on Nairaland wished him death, but because it's his turn. I wish him quick recovery, but if it's time, no amount of good-will will undo it.

New Nigerian Dictionary Word

OBJ:

              1.   (adj) the character of not listening to others, believing only on one's oblique, inferior views; being clueless, directionless and yet, stubborn over

              2. (n) an old hag still wanting to hang on to a position without really having any idea what good to do with the position

              3. a power intoxicated-person who raises empty shoulder above other citizens; a proud opportunist

Pronunciation: sounds as spelled

Usage:

Iyabo has under-developed this community. She has been an OBJ in power

Will you listen to wise counsel and stop acting the OBJ!

Synonyms:  directionless, clueless, wistfulness, obstinacy

Etymology

Obasanjo (OBJ) is former Nigerian president with the tainted history of running the most 'deaf-hear' administration. He was head of state during military regime and first 'milito-demo' ruler after transition from military to civilian reign in the country. He led the destiny of the country into desert without vision and still wanted a third-term in office after ruling the country for on two term, with four years for one term each without palpable development. He was corrupt and institutionalized it through the deceptive creation of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, which he uses to witch-hunt perceived enemies of his unreasonable ambitions.

Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, who twice ruled Nigeria, once in the 1970s and then for eight years starting in 1999, collapsed today at the St. Stephens Anglican Church in Igbotako, Ondo State.

The fainting incident took place at about 12 noon, Nigerian time, at a thanksgiving service in honour of Major General Olu Bajowa (Rtd), an Obasanjo protégé who is celebrating his 70th birthday. Major General Olu Bajowa was once indicted for mismanaging the Nigerian airways.

Obasanjo was rushed to a sickbay at the home of the celebrant. When he re-appeared, he appeared woozy, but managed to complete the event before returning home to Abeokuta, Ogun State, later in the day. The former president has faced a multitude of personal misfortunes in recent times. On one occasion, he was attacked and ridiculed in broad daylight at the Lagos Airport by an irate Nigerian who blamed him for the political and economic crisis bedeviling the country. In another public event, the former governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose, insulted him in public, calling him "father of bastards."

Although Obasanjo's real age is unknown, the former head of state is said to suffer from diabetes. Like most former leaders, he obtains his medical care in foreign hospitals. The man dey collapse when Atiku never be president. Only Gods knows what will happen to him when He wins the election next year

Why didn't you just say the highlighted was your motive. Atiku will need to win PDP primaries first before dreaming of winning a national election in Nigeria. BTW what's your source of this malicious gossip. If you tell me sahara I will NEVER reply one word on this thread until it dissapears.

Dayo, what are you praising God for now, that some guy posted a nagative report about an Elder statesman and people are celebrating? Does He think that If Obj dies it will be because of Atiku or the wishes of sahara report. The man collapsed so what, He is old, He is human and He is ever stressed out because of His schedule. Our mandate bro is to pray for our Leaders/ex-leaders so there can be peace and quietness in our land and not tov take sides with with rumour mongers and those with ulterior motives.

He must complete the job he started. Break the old order and change the political equilibrium in Nigeria. Power shift not rotation. The only other person who can do this is Abdulsalami but he is not an insider. So for the good of this country he is going no where yet.

Its our prayer that everyone who brought our Nation to its knees with the blatant corruption would not die but also they would not live peacefully.

OBJ is one of the worst human to have governed this country and he deserves to go through all this.

Where is the Power we spent $16b on? Where is the refinery he spent billions on Turn Around Maintenance? Where is the Yar'Adua he imposed as president? Where are the Segun Oni, Agagu, Oyinlola he imposed as Governors?

Eledumare ma je ki oju OBJ ri rederede ki o to ku

Our mandate bro is to pray for our Leaders/ex-leaders so there can be peace and quietness in our land and not tov take sides with with rumour mongers and those with ulterior motives.

That is NOT My mandate sir! and I hope it will NOT be the mandate of most Nigerians.

Our Mandate should be the enthronement of an egalitarian society where leaders are answerable to the people, a society and culture that supports that accountability and demands it at every stage. A society that values justice and equity.

My own mandate is to make the seat of leadership uncomfortable for usurpers and megalomaniac fo.ols like OBJ and the late Abacha -Clueless leaders who live(d) in wealth while their people suffer.

Pieces of dung who preside(d) over the retrogression of their peoples standard of living.

Mumu murderers who bombed and violated their own women and children -remember Odi? http://www.hrw.org/legacy/press/1999/dec/nibg1299.htm  while conspiring with foreigners to loot the public treasury -remember Halliburton? http://allafrica.com/stories/201010140319.html

Have you lost family to avoidable bad roads before?

Have you ever lost loved ones to an avoidable death in a rag tag unfunded public hospital?

Have you been harassed by a policeman and abused because you can't afford a bribe?

Did you or your kids attend schools where teachers will rather sell wares than teach because these leaders withheld their wages?

Did you hawk barefooted in front of the same building where your parents work because their wages ain't paid by the same powerful, untouchable "big man" that owns the skyscraper?

How do you pray for people like that? God punish "let's pray for leaders/exleaders"

which kain leaders?  angry
