This is just the exact problem of my 99 CRV. It just goes off in motion, after some minutes it starts again. I have scanned the car, it has O2 sensor code which it has alws had when it was functioning normal. I can't pinpoint what was done last before this issue started

I took it to a mechanic who placed a call to his electrician, the electrician boldly said it's my fuel pump. To my shock, this is the last place I expected to check cos it's not up to two months since I replaced the fuel pump. But I don't have an option, so I allowed them to check the fuel pump, though mine was working but it's nowhere close to the one the mechanic brought out. The 'spinning' and 'power' were far better than mine. Mine looked weak. I requested mine to be replaced with theirs and the car fired well. I drove from Isolo to Lekki this morning with a smooth drive. Formerly, whenever i remove my leg from the accelerator, the car draws back with much power/sluggish but no such occurrence happened today. Still testing it sha. So far no hard starting, no drags and we're still monitoring.

Good morning all, pls I am having an issue fixing my peugeot 307 2002 old model.
I was using the car before it just refused to start and since then at has refused to start. I called my mechanic to check and he said is a rewire work and I got a rewire that worked on it and made me wasted money bcs the car still didnt start.
I went in search of a peugeot expert in ladipo and he came and ran a scan on it and told me it was the brain box that got issue but I was unable to replace the brain box then.
After 4yrs that the car has been left packed in my compound and went back to the peugeot rewire expert that we should get a brain box and fix the car which we did but the car still refused to start and the rewire is telling me is a mechanic work that light has gotten to everywhere it suppose to get to, I called my mechanic he said the plug is not shocking and there is no light in the wire self.
I called my peugeot rewire again and he told me he doesn't know wat he was saying and I asked him to come and check with the mechanic but refused to, so I had to get another rewire to help and check, same thing the new rewire said but he was able to check and realized some fused has cut and fix it back and light got back to the plug wire but the plug still not shocking and he checked all wire if rat has not eating any of it and he said all wire are ok.
Now I dont know what to do again, need help if anyone can help

Re: Mechanic Roundtable by Blackbishop(m): 6:49am On Mar 19
When I hear this from my experience just find the Crankshaft position sensor or shock sensor and replace simple
Re: Mechanic Roundtable by ericmor: 9:20pm On Mar 19
But the rewire said there is nothing wrong with it
Re: Mechanic Roundtable by Blackbishop(m): 9:35pm On Mar 19
Then bro if it's not I will like to run my own diagnosis before I can give more insight

Greetings to engineer in the house,
Kindly permit me to explain my experience and seek for an advice.
I just bought a Ford Escape XLS 2005 model from the USA. The car was in it's perfect condition from the states before it arrived Lagos port for delivery. Unfortunately, the clearing agent/driver that brought the car out towed the vehicle which was manhandled. As at when the car was delivered to me, the car was giving a knocking sound after which I spent over 50k to fix the to cylinder. 2 weeks after the car was fixed I began to notice another sound from the engine whenever it's on gear 1, the car drives smoothly once it manages to leave gear 1.
I have contacted my mechanic, he said it's a piston issue, which he advised I change the engine rather than spending unnecessary money on it second time.
Please, has anyone experienced this?
Is it advisable I work on the piston?
Suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Good morning car gurus, I want to get a Benz A clas for my wife to use for schools and other daily runs, I don't see much other that car on the road. Apart from its fuel economy which is the main reason am going for it what other things is good about the car, are parts available and will the cost of maintenance break my pocket, please I need urgent answers from everyone
Re: Mechanic Roundtable by Blackbishop(m): 11:51am On Mar 30
Oga boss you didn't specify the Trim you re buying so I'll generalize my answer. When it comes to benz you need a specialist to handle all technicalities and also part are scarce and quite expensive.
Re: Mechanic Roundtable by nonhuman(m): 1:01pm On Apr 03
Oga blackbishop please help. My friend bought a Nigerian use 03 rav4, but I noticed the out of the 4 oxygen sensor bellow the manifold only 1 is connected, the rest are just there with their wires looking at me without a sucket, and when I checked underneath there is no hole for oxygen sensor on the on the catalyst, he have not really driven the car to know the rate of fuel consumption, please is this proper? If not, what can be done?
