My own case was quite different, I don't want to put all my private issues out here, that was why I didn't give the full reason why I had to travel. Well I explained my reason for traveling to the police officers why some where sympathetic others still insisted on collecting. Some collected N 50, some collected N100. I know of some police men that rejected 100 box and insisted I 'top it'. So I gave 300. There where some that asked for 2k I negotiated for 1k. Moreso I was traveling with loads. So carry enough cash. You may not even pay any dime.
Thanks

That's the problem, I'm not sure if there are transporters. The best bet is "Sole" or private car.

Which area in Lagos are you? I'm in Ikotun area.

Anyone traveling from Port Harcourt to Benin?
Re: Lockdown: Inter-state Travelling. Share Your Experience. by solreb: 7:13am On Apr 17, 2020
I have taken off from Lekki this morning heading to PH. Four check points from my house to Lekkki toll gates. Passed easy on identifying myself. Will try to identity and report check points to as I see them on the way.
Quite surprising, there was no single checkpoint until we got to Sagamu interchange. Noticed buses plying the roads both in Lagos and Ogun and loading people at a park near RCCG camp.i had expected to see at least 2 stops before the interchange.

It was the normal 2 checkpoints between Sagamu and Ikebu Ode. Life seemed normal Sagamu and Ijebu Ode parks as buses and cars were on queue to load. It appears to me that there has mor been any increase of checkpoints due to lockdown. We met the normal checkpoints at the former Ijebu Ode toll gates where you would see Customs and Road safety. We just zoomed past that and the one after the toll gate. We have passed Itele going towards J4. Traffic is light. No checkpoint until we got to Ajibandele, the border between Ogun state and Ondo state. There were 2 checkpoints and quite a number of commuters were directed to disembark and go for temperature checks. We were allowed to pass without doing the checks. I was surprised no such border check when entering into Ogun from Lagos.
Between Ajibandele and Ore (40.mins drive) there were 12 checkpoints. The checkpoints have been there before now because the stretch was rampant for kidnapping. Only two checkpoints from Ore to Ofosu the boundary of Edo state. Again Ondo state was subjecting travelers to checks on the other side while no border check into Edo. We are approaching Okada. We got 16 checkpoints from Ore to Benin Bypass. About 13 of them between Okada junction to the Byepass.

Benin Bypass to Sapele-Warri road had 7 checkpoints. On Sapele road only 1 checkpoint up to near Oghara the boundary between Edo and Delta was where we stopped for temperature check. It was a very long queue and everyone must come down. They were using only 2 body temperature meters We took one way to ypass the queue and got checked OK. Now heading towards Sapele roundabout. 11 checkpoints on Sapele road to reach Warri. It is only a SARS team that stopped us and wasted about 15 mins of our time. I gave them nothing. Getting to Warri I saw that all the 3 Army checkpoints were no longer there, starting from the one in front of Mercy Land church and the two on Ughelie road. Now heading towards Ughelie Keke is working right from Sapele area. Warro to Ughelie 6 checkpoints which included 2 for local vigilantes. Ughelie to Patani 4 checkpoints. Patani to Mbiama 9 checkpoints most if them were not manned as the officers were seen in their shed talking. It appears they're on break. 3 km to Mbiama junction started seeing a long queue. We manoeuvred to get to the front. Wike had given an order of total lockdown inwards and outwards. They were 2 sheds for temperature checking but people were not going there. We are waiting for the border to be opened. The ideal thing is to check temp for every one entering like they did in Dellta. A lit of people are going to neighbouring states like Akwa Ibom, Abia and Calabar. It is wrong of him to lock it up. Thank God we don pass o. They opened for a few of us. About 10 cars nclluding a soldier bus. I still main that it is wrong of Wike to lock it down. For instance there are big army trucks behind us coming to deliver COVID-19 materials to Rivers state. They are stuck. Their drivers came to inform them at the border. Unfortunately the most important thing which is the checking of temp enforced in Delta is not adequately being done here. By the time they opened up for the few of us everyone jumped into their vehicles. I was the only one in my car that went to check. Got to Choba 4:10 pm, going home towards Rumuogba.Lide is normal inside PH Taxis operating normally. I can see shops open. I think is the like of clubs, cinemas, worship centres that have restrictions.

Thanks for the update. Did you leave from Lagos as I plan to travel from Lagos to PH tomorrow driving. I trust both soldiers and police will collect toll. Please edit they're not collecting more than N200 per toll gate

Your location is good, if I were there I would have gone. You can even pass through Ibadan.

My own problem is coming out from Ikotun to Ojota.

There will definitely be "Sole" buses

There are transporters right from Lagos. The soldier that escorted me came from Ojo cantionment and took public transport to arrive at Bonny camp around 6 am. Along the way yellow buses operated on Ikorodu road all the way to RCCG camp

My experience yesterday was very stressful.I left Ibadan via public transport to lokoja.Road safety collected non negotiable 500 from our driver anytime we see them, police 200,army any amount, then village thugs with local guns around ekiti village 200.The journey was smooth till we got to owena which is the boundary between osun and Ondo.the osun police collected 500 from driver but police on the other side of the small bridge asked us to turn back.we stayed at the junction for 2 hrs before another driver said he knows another route through ipetu and ekiti.we turned back till we got to ipetu junction. The first police check point passed the other driver but refused our motor. He said he passed the other car because an officer was in the vehicle and that my driver should bring 5000.We begged them and my driver did not know that route.they refused and that was how the other driver left us at the check point and drove off.after wasting our time the officers collected 500.we continued on that bad road and stopping at every junction to ask for directions.some boys in some villages with local guns mounted road blocks.i could not believe my sight when I saw police officers harassing farmers coming from farm on their bike with farm produce that government asked them to stay at home.i got lokoja few minutes to 9pm.
