My experience yesterday was very stressful.I left Ibadan via public transport to lokoja.Road safety collected non negotiable 500 from our driver anytime we see them,police 200,army any amount,then village thugs with local guns around ekiti village 200.The journey was smooth till we got to owena which is the boundary between osun and Ondo.the osun police collected 500 from driver but police on the other side of the small bridge asked us to turn back.we stayed at the junction for 2 hrs before another driver said he knows another route through ipetu and ekiti.we turned back till we got to ipetu junction.The first police check point passed the other driver but refused our motor.He said he passed the other car because an officer was in the vehicle and that my driver should bring 5000.We begged them and my driver did not know that route.they refused and that was how the other driver left us at the check point and drove off.after wasting our time the officers collected 500.we continued on that bad road and stopping at every junction to ask for directions.some boys in some villages with local guns mounted road blocks.i could not believe my sight when I saw police officers harassing farmers coming from farm on their bike with farm produce that government asked them to stay at home.i got lokoja few minutes to 9pm.

Thank God you made it. It was the fear of erratic officers on the road demanding unbelievable sums of money or delaying one that I decide to pay 30k for the escort. The journey was smooth. Otherwise I could imagine what the police officers would demand. At two checkpoints the police officers complained loudly to us that people are now using soldier escort as a car in our front also had a soldier.

Pls I need to move from akure to Abuja tomorrow using public transport. Who travel this route recently should kindly update me if it's good for me tomorrow or not. So that I can reconsider my plan to move tomorrow. Thanks

Yes boss I did travel ooo. I went to park, took a bus but the driver was smart to take two soldier in the front sit. All movement was smooth since the soldier identify himself and that's how we roll to Abuja, even to enter Abaji that was dead lock, he (soldier) went ahead to identify himself with his ID card and our bus was given pass. It was very smooth bro. Ensure you carry soldier with you. If not, you go spend money oooo... I dey Abuja with my family since Monday. Our driver said he spent 15,000 when he was coming to akure (on Sunday) prior to Monday .

How can someone travel from abeokuta to Lagos tomorrow.. Anyone passed that route recently? It's urgent please.
