Abeg abeg. Not that corona will now spread well in the North, that Govt will now say they want to do national lockdown forgetting that some of us in Lagos and abuja have spent almost a month in lockdown Make them park well biko. |

I don't know why FG palliatives should start from why the epicenter of the pandemic is infact the southern part of the the country... may God shame Buhari |

Pastorayojide: Kano is a commercial city as Lagos but not a direct entry or exit point to affected countries of this corvid-19. The same would have happened to the north if reverse of this is d case. 10 billion naira given to Lagos alone na come chop? Or u are not seeing that one. My concern is for the entire funds to be judiciously utilized. But how? When we heard that finance office have been gutted by fire. I am speechless on this honestly. So chairman of northern governors forum is even of Plateau state and a christian for that matter and all these menace happening in Plateau State could not be nipped. Why can't he take some holistic approaches to address the conflicts in the governors forum he chairs. Or is he RUBBER STAMPED |

Charleys:Charleys, that the fact that new yam festival is held annually in the east doesn't mean that is where the majority of our yams come from. The yam they call Onitsha yam is from the North. While we do farm yam in the south east, it is certainly not in the quantities that the north does. |

In my small opinion the North shouldn't shut down if they have an alternative to combating the virus, because if they shutdown, the hunger people are shouting now will become times 3. The only price of food stuffs that seems normal at the market right now are the once from the north. U can check that out if u do not agree with me. |

Re: We Can’t Lock Down North — Northern Governors by Nobody: 8:49am On Apr 14, 2020 |
Mrs Gates or not, why there seem to be a low cases of this virus in nigeria is unavailability of testing centers. How many people are tested? Even people who make calls of suspecting cases, the response is abysmal. On the other hand the northern governors are more interested in the palliative fund. Guys when the weather cools down and this things enters well well eh! No be for my mouth una go hear anything. And for those of you fools who believe they can wish this virus away by mere I reject it better make yourself available at Yaba Left |

guru90: Because they refuse to do the right thing in peace time. What is the right thing... vote intellectually not sentimentally.... And after voting for better or worse making sure they take the reins of governace through persistent civil pressurez not sitting idly by and 'hoping' political leaders to the right thing.... because they naturally will not. As an example. Mr. President came up yesterday to give a national speech thay was essentially lean on substance. You will have expected that Nigwrians will be up in arms seeking for a concrete strategy to end the pandemic or a timeline of activity towards an end but it appears even the goverment is helpless, the Presidential task force left at the mercy of the NCDC. Now, if the pandemic has no exit strategy and thus an open time limit, it is safe to say that people and institutions offering citizen help will begin to reassess their capacity to offer such help. In a nutshell if I had an extra N100 to help I will be willing to let it go if I knew I would not need it before the problem is over. But if I feel I will run out of resources too... It is critical that goverment gets ahead of this pandemic and not let the virus dictate its own pace. Resources will also have a big say in what the outcome of this battle will be at all levels. 2 Likes |

These are Governor that analyse result with their brains not these ones we have down south that are fidgeting over unknown and unseen calamity. Some even declared lockdown because of missing convid-19 patient which happens to be only patient in the state. Populace are groaning about hunger and insecurity daily. Just cripple daily life of citizens because of fear and paranoia 1 Like |

Really? Oh, why not! They should go back to their normal life abeg. Open the mosques wide open and allow everyone to gather and do whatever they want. After all, Corona virus is haram--a fiction created by the West. Moreover, they are Muslims and Allah will protect them. However, by the time Charles Darwin's theory of natural selection takes effect, nobody should blame America like they always do for every calamity that befalls them. According to Newton's third law; for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction to it. Tor, as you make your bed so you shall lie on it. |
