I doubt this is true

The northern states have large land mass by not densely populated you can travel over several kilometers before you see human settlement or village. Lagos is small but every available space is occupied by villages and towns such that you cannot differentiate between one settlement and another.

Una go soon turn this thread to battle ground...

What drives lagos economy is the size of its population and its business orientation. same goes for Rivers. I think the northern states has untapped potentials and their governors and citizens are too lazy to exploits it, because they are waiting for monthly allocations from FG.

I think the FG should stop its monthly allocation and all states are to be urged to look inward to grow at their own pace. you cant use funds gotten from Lagos to develop Oyo vice versa.

Land mass is one economic mass is another...

But Niger State is enough to stand as a country with a huge land mass grin

Lagos state has the least land mass but is enough to sponsor the whole Nigeria budget as small as it is the billions or trillions coming out from there will develop the whole land mass of all Nigeria if there is no corruption.

Minus Lagos and possibly Ogun, which state in the South West is economically viable enough to stand up to Imo, Anambra and Abia States?

Osun and Ekiti

You cannot subtract any state of SW.

Im not one of the Yorubas that follow along with your nonsense of excluding Lagos from SW.

It is a bonafide membership of SW and Yoruba States.

I already have a plan to educate my Yoruba brothers on what FCT represented in Lagos so they have empowerement to break the myth.

Yoruba and SW remain the best economy, best diversity, best security and best sustainable growth....in addition, best politically responsive to social contracts....anywhere in Nigeria.

Westerners has no contribution to the development of Lagos. The massive infrastructures built by FG makes it the center of business for now. Abuja, today, is another ec6oiwer house, what was the economic value of Abuja before it was made capital?

What infrastructures have your state government added after FG built

Roads
Government House
Airport
University
Stadiums
Bridges
Seaport

Etc

You have started with this nonsense again. All the roads that Ambode built in Epe and Oshodi before they were abandoned by his successor what about them?

Or do they want to corner the rest of the landmass of this country.. We the southern part of this country should be united in other to resist this greedy folks

Political units (states or regions or counties) are not created with land mass as yardstick in a country formed by different regions.

There should have been more states in the southern regions than in the northern region after Abacha created the last states in 1996..

Whoever did this comparison is an heediot.

The entire NIGERIAN Nation which you claim is BIG is SMALL my Brother.
CALIFORNIA State in the United states is Half the size of the entire Nigerian Federation.

TEXAS is 2/3rd the size of the entire Nigeria.
ALASKA is bigger than Nigeria+Benin+Togo+Ghana all put together.
These are just 3 STATES ooooo
Yet our Population in Nigeria is chasing that of the United States with the speed of Light.
That's the only DEVELOPMENT we are good at grin grin grin grin

No doubt the entire SOUTHEAST is small but it's 2 times bigger than Jamaica. grin grin.
QUESTION of the DAY:
Now if it's really small, why does the Nigerian Government find it difficult ceding such a small portion to self actualisation with territorial integrity, if they could easily cede a small Bakassi..?

The 'states' in the United States of America are actually independent countries that joined together to form a union. e.g Texas was an independent country before it decided to join the union.

grin lol Dangote refinery is not your owns as well as many companies. The man can come tomorrow to lift his thing to his village.
As you can see in his post.

Dangote can't move it, he already wasted billions on the project, infact I heard he's also building a seaport right beside the refinery.

Why would Dangote moved the refinery to the North when the North does not have oil?

If NIGERIA breaks today, Dangote will continue his business in the South West, the cement plant in ibese, Ogun state will continue.
The refinery will continue, we have oil in Ondo and Lagos.

Including his biggest cement factory in Obajana (the Yoruba part of Kogi state)

That's how blessed the Yorubas are.

Osun and Ekiti

You are correct, Osun and Ekiti states are economically viable than those states you mentioned. If you doubt me, ask the indigene of those states that reside in Osun and Ekiti states. You can see I did not mention oyo state and ondo state because Oyo state alone is economically viable than the entire states in South East.
