It's like you want to learn shey?
OK i'll school you! wink
True worshipers of my God don't walk in the path of the ungodly, nor stand in the way of sinners nor sit with scoffers {Psalms 1:1} this means we always make sure we're surrounded by our loved ones {Psalms 133:1} So we don't have to go into the streets and profane the name of our God, he will supply all our needs through the association of our fellow believers {2Corinthians 8:14} that's why the psalmist could say he has never seen the child of the righteous beg for food! Psalms 37:25 compare to Isaiah 65:13-14
So wherever we see someone begging in the streets, we know he/she is not a worshiper of Jehovah!
Flash!
True Christians don't give beggars money, Jesus never taught us to do so, that's why you can't find a single worshiper of God who is a beggar neither can you find a place where a Christian give a beggar a dime! smiley

Exactly. I believe the world would be a better place if we love people for being human, and not for whatever religious affiliations they answer to. But our secret cultists in the name of JW disagrees, just as maximus69 has vehemently defended the act of not helping people who don't belong to his secret cult. If truly this was the love Jesus preached, and what God really wants, then I can't help it, because this is exactly the kind of figure that Satan is. Hence we can say the secret cult of Maximus69 is just another cult of satanist that enjoy watching the world suffer in so far they enjoy life. Smh

The main verse to buttress this doctrine is Psalm 37:25. Now let's look at the verse. It says "...yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken" and one must realize that though the righteous is never forsake it does not mean the righteous does not go through challenges which may result in the fall of the righteous (Proverbs 26:27). The fall of the righteous could result in him begging, doing menial jobs or scrapping at the bottom of the socio-economic ladder but the righteous man will rise again and it is this juncture of the life of the righteous that we can we have never seen the righteous forsaken. However when we see the righteous in the ugly, dark and gloomy hours of his life we will all be tempted to say he has been forsaken but when like David we observe a man at the latter part of his life we see that he is ultimately not forsaken. Jesus Himself the main example here.

With regards to the portion of the verse that says: "..., nor his seed begging bread", we must realize that this is case of the seed of the righteous enjoying the supernatural inheritance of righteous parents...but we must understand that when the righteous falls, his fall will affect his children as well and as I have mentioned before in this phase of life it would seem that the children are now beggars but in the fullness of time the fortunes of the righteous turn and the same transcends to his seed.

If children of GOD must not give to beggars, then we need to ask why the HolyGhost inspired Solomon to write the following verses:
Proverbs 14:31 He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.
Proverbs 21:13 Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.
Proverbs 19:17 He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.

These verses are clear that there is no crime in being poor...The LORD GOD is their maker and whoever gives to their hospitality gives to the LORD GOD Himself and this is evident in the words of Jesus Himself in Matthew 25: 31-46

That is the nature of JW as laid down in the bible by Jehovah, and shown by Maximus69.

I found this link https://www.jwfacts.com/watchtower/quotes/charity.php

That link exposes that JW will not provide charitable help to you if you are non-jw. They do not have respect for humanity which are seen the high rises of death rate from refusal of blood transfusion. There is also rising cases of child molestations that are covered up in these society. One could see Maximus69 making mockery of a woman who needed financial help, and tatime always on standby to support such wicked acts.

I see reasons why government clamp down on jw. They are run by brainwashed wicked souls

You are right about the words of Solomon!

Jesus even told Judas Iscariot saying "you will always have the poor in your midst, do whatever you can for them but you will not always have me" Mark 14:7

So Jesus never taught his followers to ignore the poor in their midst, but care should be taken when talking about the poor here.
Jesus was referring to the poor ones amongst the Christians, not that one should turn himself to a philanthropist all because he wants to prove he's good! 1Corinthians 13:3

Christians are to make sure that their fellow believers don't go out begging unbelievers for assistance because that will bring reproach on God's holy name! Psalms 23:1,3

We don't also encourage laziness by giving any Dick and Harry that comes begging for alms, rather we encourage each person to work {2Thessalonians 3:10} so in order to be balance in our operations, we encourage each member of God's Organization to relate well with fellow believers in his territory so that if there arises any call for assistance and the local congregation can't meet up with the expenses, we can easily call out to other congregations to assist our brother or sister in need {2Corinthians 8:4} by so doing, nobody will know the particular brother or sister that contributed more or less and all glory and honour goes to our God! Matthew 6:2

That's why true Christians don't just give beggars money because in most cases, the same beggar whom people think they're trying to show kindness may turn to join forces with robbers once he already knew your worth!

Most people don't understand why Jesus or his followers never had an encounter with theives, well it's because they don't display their riches by giving unnecessarily! 1John 2:15-17 smiley

Sometimes the words of Maximus69 is filled with grin grin grin grin grin grin. Na the lens of the organization he belongs follow add to the palaver.

When someone begins to fill the military intelligence in the army counts a lot scripturally this is what you get to see. An experience with a retired military officer says those that really understand what it means to be a military man don't go about oppressing or boasting about being one.

I wonder what the boast in being a Military intelligence officer have to do with the discussion on nairaland sometimes.

Back to the issue at hand..........

Matthew 6: Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds(gifts to the poor) before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven.

2 Therefore, when you do a charitable deed(gifts to the poor) , do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.

3 But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing.

It is clear that as Jesus said we will as Christians do charitable deeds or gifts to the poor and it is not restricted to fellow Christians alone.

Matthew 5:
43 You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’

44But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,

45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

46 For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?

47 And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so?

48 Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

So the below from Maximus69 is what was cooked from his mind and brain

Flash!
True Christians don't give beggars money, Jesus never taught us to do so, that's why you can't find a single worshiper of God who is a beggar neither can you find a place where a Christian give a beggar a dime!

What one would have expected Maximus69 to have done during the issue FOLYKAZE had since he sees himself as being on a higher moral ground than FOLYKAZE was to heed this in

Matthew 5: 44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.

But what did Maximus69 do was something else and defending the act by saying another person had done the same. It was just angry angry angry angry angry

Charitable deeds(gifts to the poor) is not restricted to MONEY it embraces a lot. Peter did gifts of mercy at Acts 3:2-6. Jesus did gifts of mercy to a blind beggar and during the time of the Israelites that were told not to completely glean their fields to be left as gifts of mercy for the poor. Jesus did deed gifts of mercy to a SYROPHOENICIAN WOMAN who begged as well.

What do you profit by posting FICTITIOUS claims about JWs?

Jehovah’s Witnesses often help when disaster strikes. We provide practical relief assistance to both Witnesses and non-Witnesses, in harmony with the Bible’s instruction at Galatians 6:10: “Let us work what is good toward all, but especially toward those related to us in the faith.” We also try to give the emotional and spiritual support that victims sorely need at such times.—2 Corinthians 1:3, 4.

JWs render help to our neighbors and anyone in need but we OBEY Jesus instructions on this matter (Matthew 6:1-4).

1. Jesus Christ definitely hung out with the "ungodly". He mingled with them each and everyday He could.

2. Jesus Christ spent a lot of time among the poor, and the broken. He even fed them by the thousands.

3. Jesus Christ never mentioned that w never help the poor financially. After all some among the first Christians, documented in the book of Acts, sold their property and fields, and the amount from that they put forward to be used in caring for the poor, sick, orphaned and widowed, not only amongst them.

The interesting thing about this is when a member was asked here that, is the JW organization a CHARITY organization? The individual said NO.

When the article of association used in registration of the organization legally was shown, It stated clearly that the organization is a charitable organization.

The question is, why are the members not aware of the status of the organization as being charitable?

Most people just presume what they feel should be called Christianity instead of reading, studying and meditating on God's inspired word (Bible)

From Genesis to Revelation you can never find a place where a worshiper of God give alm to any beggar. The reason is that God of course say we should take care of the needs of our fellow man but that means ascertaining what your neighbour needed not his want!
When you assist your fellowman with food, clothing or a place to lay his head, you're working what is good provided the person in question is not lazy but when you give alms to anyone asking then you're promoting idleness. That is why you're seeing able bodied men and women going about begging for alms otherwise it would only have been those that are truly in need that we all will see!
God bless you! smiley

* Jesus Christ's commandment to give to all without holding back

Matthew 5 vs 38-42 (ERV)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
38. “You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.’[i]
39. But I tell you, don’t fight back against someone who wants to do harm to you. If they hit you on the right cheek, let them hit the other cheek too.
40. If anyone wants to sue you in court and take your shirt, let them have your coat too.
41. If a soldier forces you to walk with him one mile,[j] go with him two.
42. Give to anyone who asks you for something. Don’t refuse to give to anyone who wants to borrow from you.
* Jesus Christ's teaching on the reward of giving in obedience

Luke 6vs 37-42 (ERV)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
37. “Don’t judge others, and God will not judge you. Don’t condemn others, and you will not be condemned. Forgive others, and you will be forgiven.
38. Give to others, and you will receive. You will be given much. It will be poured into your hands—more than you can hold. You will be given so much that it will spill into your lap. The way you give to others is the way God will give to you.”
* Jesus Commands Peter to engage in works of Righteousness, details of which are found in Matthew 24 vs 31 through 40(Sheeps vs Goats)

John 21 vs 15-17 (ERV)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
15. When they finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these other men love me?”
Peter answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.”
Then Jesus said to him, “Take care of my lambs.[c]”
16. Again Jesus said to him, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?”
Peter answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.”
Then Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.”
17. A third time Jesus said, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?”
Peter was sad because Jesus asked him three times, “Do you love me?”
He said, “Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you!”
Jesus said to him, “Take care of my sheep.

* Jesus Christ's followers sell all and put the funds towards taking care of the needs of the lot

Acts 4 vs 32-37 (ERV)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
32. The whole group of believers was united in their thinking and in what they wanted. None of them said that the things they had were their own. Instead, they shared everything.
33. With great power the apostles were making it known to everyone that the Lord Jesus was raised from death. And God blessed all the believers very much.
34. None of them could say they needed anything. Everyone who owned fields or houses sold them. They brought the money they got
35. and gave it to the apostles. Then everyone was given whatever they needed.
36. One of the believers was named Joseph. The apostles called him Barnabas, a name that means “one who encourages others.” He was a Levite born in Cyprus.
37. Joseph sold a field he owned. He brought the money and gave it to the apostles.
* The first christian experience -- the first Christians ran a pantry system in Rome that, during the great famine, catered to a good portion of the population.

Acts 6 vs 1-4 (ERV)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. More and more people were becoming followers of Jesus. But during this same time, the Greek-speaking followers began to complain against the other Jewish followers. They said that their widows were not getting their share of what the followers received every day.
2. The twelve apostles called the whole group of followers together. The apostles said to them, “It would not be right for us to give up our work of teaching God’s word in order to be in charge of getting food to people.
3. So, brothers and sisters, choose seven of your men who have a good reputation. They must be full of wisdom and the Spirit. We will give them this work to do.
4. Then we can use all our time to pray and to teach the word of God.”

* Jesus Christ's commandment to give to all without holding back
* Jesus Christ's teaching on the reward of giving in obedience
* Jesus Commands Peter to engage in works of Righteousness, details of which are found in Matthew 24 vs 31 through 40(Sheeps vs Goats)
* Jesus Christ's followers sell all and put the funds towards taking care of the needs of the lot
* The first christian experience -- the first Christians ran a pantry system in Rome that, during the great famine, catered to a good portion of the population.

Yes! Christ taught his followers to assist one another, he himself never gave any beggar a dime neither did any of his followers do such, all the contributions and equal sharing happened AMONGST them UNBELIEVERS weren't included in whatever the first century Christians practice amongst themselves.
The OP wasn't patient enough to learn why things has to be so, but if anyone wish to know i'll use the scriptures to explain!

43. “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[k] and hate your enemy.’
44. But I tell you, love your enemies. Pray for those who treat you badly.
45. If you do this, you will be children who are truly like your Father in heaven. He lets the sun rise for all people, whether they are good or bad. He sends rain to those who do right and to those who do wrong.
46. If you love only those who love you, why should you get a reward for that? Even the tax collectors do that.
47. And if you are nice only to your friends, you are no better than anyone else. Even the people who don’t know God are nice to their friends.
48. What I am saying is that you must be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

Smh

I decided to allow you see how far those claiming Christians will come and do justice to the issue on ground with the use of God's word! smiley
At least you can now see that they're all teaching people the tradition of men not what the Bible REALLY teach. Matthew 15:9 smiley

There is a great chasm between NEEDS and WANTS, that is where most people failed to grasp what Jesus taught about kindness.

Someone really poor may need to care for his pregnant wife medically, Bill Gate may choose to foot the bill by taking the pregnant woman to the world's best hospital without giving the family a penny, after all what they NEEDED is taking care of the pregnant woman and seeing to it that she has a safe delivery {Matthew 20:29-34} but most people are GREEDY, instead of being grateful for the assistance rendered they'll presume the man supposed to enrich them after all he's the world's richest man! smiley

If we're to consider the way Jesus got money through a life fish {Matthew 17:27} it's enough to prove that money is not his problem, Jesus has the power to enrich himself and anyone for that matter, but he will not! WHY? Because evil goes along with money due to the imperfect nature of man and these are the ones Jesus has to deal with throughout his life and ministry. 1Timothy 6:5-10

So it's not about being stingy or wicked, but about having wisdom in dealing with humans whose wants are countless whereas what they REALLY need is few! Matthew 6:31-32 smiley

Of course you're quoting Jesus' words but do you care for the PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS of what he is saying?
Search through the scriptures again and see if he himself gave any beggar a dime or where any of his disciples did, at least you can't understand this man much more than his own followers who lived with him and heard him directly in their own mother tongue! smiley

Matthew 5 vs 3 42 (ERV)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
42. Give to anyone who asks you for something. Don’t refuse to give to anyone who wants to borrow from you.
The same /similar is found in the book of Proverbs

Proverbs 3 vs 27-28(ERV)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
27. Do everything you possibly can for those who need help.
28. If your neighbor needs something you have, don’t say, “Come back tomorrow.” Give it to him immediately.

Just quote a verse where a worshiper of God gave a dime to a beggar, that's all!

I know the OP can understand what i'm saying it may sound unpalatable but that's the truth, if you want to be a Christian you must follow the ACT of the first century Christians, in Antioch the onlookers called Jesus' followers "Christians" not because the Christians were acting in line with what people expect them to do but because they were carrying out their activities exactly the way Jesus the one who claims to be Christ did! Act 11:26

So instead of presuming what Christianity means why not follow the standard set by the first century pioneers of this religion?

Can you quote a verse where any of them gave a beggar any money? smiley

This is the reason why all of you keep arguing endlessly amongst yourselves over what should and shouldn't be! smiley
Each time i see you guys arguing and getting likes from those whose hearts approves what you are saying, i just laugh because one man's meat is another man's poison. cheesy
So each one of you keep arguing just to soothe your heart's desire whereas you can never agree on any standard, there will always be confusion and division amongst you people! Luke 11:23
Only Jehovah's Witnesses have settled for the standard set by the first century Christians, so even though it's not as palatable as picking what you wish, each one of us try to put away our old personality to meet up with that standard, that's why there is LOVE, JOY and PEACE permeating our gatherings! John 17:20-23 smiley
