Beverlyjean: Ronaldo is a fantastic player but please tone down the narrative. Technically madrid won the Supercopa de espana and so where not trophiless in 2008/2009. Also the same madrid won the Laliga twice in the last 3 years and was going to welcome Kaka (the world's best 2 years earlier) in the same window. You make it look like he came to a dying team. From 2009 it took 4 years to land the first UCL title. Football is a team game. You are painting heavily biased pictures with this narrative of "he came to save a dead madrid". For instance, Isn't it funny that Robinho was at madrid for basically 3 seasons but then won the same number of Laliga titles as Ronaldo's 9 year stint there? You conveniently ignored that madrid won the league (Laliga) 2 x consecutively before he came. And in 2009 2 of the previous year's balond'or winners would play in Madrid. By the way Messi/Barca performed poorly this season so you don't think I think anything else. 1 Like |

Dalil8:If the Ballon d'or GOAT is a failure, that means all the players that have won the Ballon d'or from 1967 till date are Failures!! Anti-Messi fans never disappoint They are always angry because Messi did not graduate from a class academy and therefore didn't have to be traveling about seeking 'greener pastures'!! |

For CR7 fans masturbating over Messi's potential exit. You can continue braying endlessly for as long as you want, but note that Lionel Messi has absolutely NOTHING to prove to you or anyone again whether he leaves or stays. He has won everything there is to win in club football multiple times while being the chief protagonist in almost all of those successes. Get this, as far back as 2011 after the champions league final against Man Utd, he was already widely touted as the Greatest Player of All Time by the football media and journalists. Your CR7 did not even come into the equation until just a few years ago. Everything he has achieved subsequently, only serves to consolidate his initial successes and standing as the GOAT. Messi might have lost a game 8-2, but CR7 did not even smell the opportunity to lose 8-2 just like Oxlade Chamberlain. How the lack of such opportunity suddenly makes him better than the one who excelled where he failed, beggars belief and sound reasoning. You guys simply do not know what you want. Messi stays, he gets criticized, He leaves, it's a problem for you guys. 6 will always be greater than 5. 2 Likes |

Ronaldo came to Madrid as the second best team in Spain in an era where Barca was the dominant team, he left Manutd in its glory. He worked to level Madrid and left Madrid on a high note. Messi can’t and shouldn’t leave Barca now else it’ll leave a sour taste in the memory of his reign in Spain- he abandoned the team in their time of need. He should try win the league or something and bow out 2 Likes |

Give him a new contract as usual. Dem nor born am well to leave Barca. Without Barca, he would have probably died or ended up being shorter than Aki and PawPaw. This standoff is Messi's way of getting new contract terms and more control. 1 Like |

jameshow: Football is not FIFA 2019. You want to buy Koulibaly and Messi in one transfer window. You better manage Sterling and Nathan Ake. Those of you who want to see Messi with other teams, have you checked his track record when he's not playing for Barca? 3 Likes |

Lamasta: Do you know exactly how much his current buy out clause amounts to??!... Neymar's transfer would be chicken feed compared to what Inter will have to cough up. Brother, Inter might be rich (we know not that rich), but not desperate enough to part with such dough. Come on!!! At what age??! 33??! Lol. 2 Likes |

ojaysam25: When you don't have any reasonable response, you resort to name-calling. Can you counter any of the points I raised in a logical fashion? I doubt, because the last time I checked, it's you CR7 guys that have been wailing about Messi since Friday. Note that no matter how fast the buttocks runs, the p*enis will always be ahead of it at the fore-front. No matter how many 3-0s, 4-0s or 8-2s Messi experiences, He will always be globally recognized as the greater footballer than CR7. No amount of your illogical narratives will overwrite that. I am at peace. |
Re: Lionel Messi Tells Ronald Koeman That He Does Not See His Future At Camp Nou by einsteine(m): 12:34pm On Aug 21, 2020 |
Barca would go back to suffering because Messi has become a rope around their neck. If he stays, it is problem because he is not getting any longer and he's not willing to maintain proper position on the field of play. In the second half against Bayern, he was supposed to be the RW, but he was no where to be found as Davies hounded the RB he's supposed to be protecting. Messi's presence also stops you from getting the best out of Griezman and Coutinho. If Messi does the unlikely and moves, it would be problem for Barcelona as they have not prepared at all for the post Messi world. Either way, good outcome for us Madridistas 1 Like |
