Please guys, I need a cheap but decent hotel in or near Obalende. I will be staying there the night before my interview. Your suggestions will be highly appreciated. |

Good day Chloe and LadyGuinivera, I work with a state government parastatal as a contract staff and earn a little above 100,000. I have a little over 1m in my account and i'll be getting a direct letter of introduction from the ministry(under which is d parastatal). I don't have a tax clearance due to the contract nature of the job . Won't the tax clearance be an hindrance? I intend going for my vacation for 10 working days in March. God bless you big |
Re: Usa Visit Visa by LadyGuinivere: 5:22am On Jan 15, 2015 |
biordunetopo:If tax clearance is your worry, then don't worry. If it was UK, I'd be worried but for US? The dont/rarely look at documents and I'm yet to see he was asked to produce his. But eh, do u not pay tax? Even if its deducted before u r paid, they should give u something (not for the US interview o!) |
Re: Usa Visit Visa by Nobody: 8:26am On Jan 15, 2015 |
LadyGuinivere:LadyGuinivere has said it all, if na uk tax clearance ehn they take it personal, they will refuse but for us they are more of objective they rarely ask for documents. . So you are good to go. |

I noticed that the interviews in the US consulate are now done via public address system Some of the consular officers do not turn off the speaker when interviewing and everyone in the interview room (hundreds of people) can hear your personal details like how much do you make? what you do for a living? who are you going to see in USA? what are you going to do? even when you're denied everyone can hear Do Nigerians feel happy about this? or is it just more of the shabby treatment we've gotten accustomed to... |

scribble:Its always been like that. The VO's are behind thick glass and use the mic to aid audibility. Their country, their rules. 1 Like |
Re: Usa Visit Visa by scribble: 4:45pm On Jan 16, 2015 |
LadyGuinivere: there is a telephone there that can be used by both parties...the VOs dont use it and prefer to put your business out there. Even if it is their country, they should show basic human decency and respect for privacy to ALL persons. They have little to no respect for Nigerians. 1 Like |

Depends on how you want to view it really. Other nationals who reside in Nigeria and require a visa to travel to the USA are subject to similar situation. Also, aren't those being processed for migrant visa interviewed under such situation? lastly, i have personally seen environments in developed countries where people are interviewed in similar fashion eg Sevice Canada, Windsor ONT. so, Na the visa you go collect make you focus on bro/sis. best of luck. scribble: |

oktommy:Sorry if I sound a bit harsh here. You caused your refusal.Your not been able to answer 2 tourist attractions in NY is silly. Before you go for any interview, you prepare. You did not prepare. Despite your former refusal. My advice? Prepare. Read these pages. Go with your wife when you are re applying. Do not change a thing in your application. |

oktommy: Hmm! I saw many couples like this in abuja doing my interview. The VO even gave them time and told the husband to relax but he was really shaking and the VO told them to re-apply. Guy No shaking, just learn from your interview and amend your mistake and re-apply. Appear to the VO new and boldly. Let him/her see the confidence in you. And remeber something always feel free to flow when you are been interview, just like you chatting with a fellow white friend. Best of lucks in your next application. |

Hello, pls i want to find out.....someone who got a 2years visa last year and has been to the usa and back, now intends to go back again to have a baby...what are the requirements considering she is not married yet. Thank you |
Re: Usa Visit Visa by LadyGuinivere: 6:01am On Jan 18, 2015 |
Ramzolly:Write a letter to the embassy. Inform them of the Plan to have a baby. They'l reply with a generic message congratulating you on the baby bla bla bla but infirming you to holf your money. Whilst travelling, the mother should have evidence of communication with the hospital (eg emails or records sent etc) anf most importantly the cash equivalent that will cover the amount of the childbirth and hotel (if she's staying in one) For more detailed info on how to acquire passport for the baby abd others, go to this page https://www.nairaland.com/617280/give-birth-usa-cost-procedure Congrats on the baby and the mother's single status is no concern of anybody's hence not an issue |

suxes2005: Apparently, most Nigerians would rather fast endlessly for visas than prepare adequately. Me, I have better things to fast and pray for I just read on this thread how someone couldn't mention only two tourist places in NYC during his interview(and he was going to NYC for tourism). I'm sure this person must've fasted before his interview, and expected a 'miracle'. I laugh in Chinese. I believe in miracles, luck and all, but I'd rather prepare than leave things to chances. I have patiently read from page 1 to abt 149 of this thread. You guys have been doing a nice job. Anyway, I plan to apply for a B1/B2 US VISA few weeks time. Note, I'm a student who wants to use the 1st 4 weeks of my 6 months Industrial Training Holiday/vacation to visit my Aunt and cousins in US. Aunt is a permanent Resident and cousins are all citizens. She'll sponsor my trip and will send an IV to that effect. I'll be using a virgin passport and I've had no international travel experiences. 1-Does the fact that I'm in my penultimate year as an Electrical/Electronic Engineering stdnt count as strong tie to my country?? 2-Do I need an official document from my school, aside my admission letter? 3-Which has a higher success of VISA issuance, the embassy at Lagos or Abuja? ? 4- On a scale of 10, how likely will I be issued a VISA? ? Thnks guys!!! |
