showafrica:.maybe she has a reason for that. It might be that the former occupant had several female squatters and maybe, one of them got into a fight with the landlady.. 1 Like |

lefulefu:bro to be honest I never viewed this from this mindset. I thought that most times any wife that is taken to west by the husband adopts feminism, adopts unilateral decisions and makes deliberate moves to trigger the husband to divorce. It kind of affected my mindset shah cause I have this very loyal partner of 2years who really loves me but can nag so much & become very quarrelsome. Though she will still make moves to reconcile with me afterward. Her quarrelsome nature is so bad that it is a habit with her elder sister and they had quarelled to point the elder sister burnt all the pieces of cloth she bought for this lil girl, and the mother complains about her quarrelsome nature but she herself often concludes that the mom is always one-sided and makes decisions that favor the eldest sister. All these attributes of her make me shudder and fear so much about taking such woman across the Atlantic. She is not materialistic or dips her eyes into flexing or my wealth to indicate she may go any length to acquire wealth anyway. She's just vicious and prepared for quarrel or fight, nags so much. I fear for these reasons, but she never cheats, is loyal (romantically) and loves me at great depth (has helped me financially when I was so broke, even stayed with me through then). So this troublesome or quarrelsome nature makes me fear if I'll be making the wrong decision, taking such woman abroad. |

flyingpig:Is chimamanda Adichie not a hard core feminist? has she broken up her marriage and taken over her husbands assets? .If a woman has ur interest at heart and really loves you what is asset and money that she will be breaking up her marriage to inherit. Most of these ladies u hear about who divorce their husbands are greedy women imported from naija by the man"s parents. They dont love the man..their only interest is to get overseas and when they get there they use the system to their advantage. Its not advisable doing arrangee marriage even though some guys do it. 3 Likes |

dingbang: Yes, didn't rule that one out tho... But why would a young married woman want to share flat with a man, why not her fellow woman? |

lefulefu:Thank you very much. God bless you for this insight I never reasoned through this angle before. May God help all our men paranoid of western courts to know it is about a wife who really loves you and means well for you, as I've come to understand. |

dingbang:just walk out from my house that is her worst. I once deliberately created a scene by the road side in a broad afternoon when she really embarrassed me one time, and she almost kneeled by that roadside apologizing to me. She would have completed the kneeling if i hadnt entered ride and left. She's troublesome to point my friend visited, and something as petty as a bought eatery rice i got she "dared" the guy not to even touch it. The guy looked at her in disappointment and left the house, I pleaded with her to go and apologize to him for hurting him but she severally insisted no. The other extreme troublesome I can remember was when she insisted a particular picture of an anonymous girl resembles my twin sisters and I sent the pic to my sisters to see and they concluded the girl is not fine. I informed my gf and she said about my sisters, "who told them they are fine". I felt very irritated because the remark from my sisters were not to her, and she doesn't even know the girl in the picture just an anonymous random internet pic, but see how she has created a different twist by making such retort about my sisters. So there are several other cases can't really remember them now. I just am paranoid about a woman making so much quarrel in the west because the laws there favour her and cause I can't do much there, unlike here. over all if you're expecting breaking my Tv and other "karen" crises when she wants to forment trouble, no not that far |

showafrica:it was stated in the rent that it would be only one occupant.but like i said before that u can have ur female visitors and they can spend some time with u.that is allowed. But what i see they dont allow here is parmanent camping. If u want to bring someone in with u on parmanent basis u would tell the landlord and he might increase his rent. |

flyingpig:ok it is established that her anger most times is directed at others and not you, but you still need to be extra sure. A woman who listens to her husband and respects him is very important. If at all she can't be tamed by her husband, who else will tame her? I think she really needs to work on that aspect of herself and once treated, you can go ahead to marry her. 1 Like |

Re: Wives Living In Nigeria And Husbands Abroad: My Encounter by Nobody: 3:35pm On Sep 25, 2020 |
showafrica:hahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahaa this got me Anyway they dont have soakaways here. They use a general sewage system that transports all the waste to a general collecting center.I dont know their collecting centers are located though. My flat mate was camping a girl in his room.Since june till now and some days ago the landlord was telling him that girl had to leave. That he doesnt have issues with someone coming to visit and stay but that he wouldnt accept a parmanent stay.He was saying something that he would have to pay more money to the tax officials cos they would want to know how many ppl that are staying in the house and if the tax officials sees other wise they might take the house.I dont know if this is true or he was saying this cos he wanted my flat mate to pay more money since he now has someone parmently staying with him .But this issue u talking about soakway getting filled makes me to remember one incident then when i visited my aunt in benin and spent some time with her in technical road. Then there was this UNIBEN students renting a flat close to our own.Its a girl that was actually renting the place.she now invited her friends over and they were now 50 ppl in the small flat.the landlady got angry and told them dat she would kick all of them out if they dont reduce their number in their house and weda dey want to fill up her soakaway .50 ppl in small flat mehn |

lefulefu: 110% reason mine is not joining. That has become the racket for Nigerian women here in the UK! You will be a victim especially if she has aunties, cousins, sisters and the likes here. Alternatively you become her “wife” and she becomes a wicked “husband”. Before you start judging nonsense, come and work for 30 years here and then invite a Naija hungry girl to come and join you so she can use domestic abuse laws to take everything you have laboured for. Ok! Women that will disown you within 5 mins if you run into poverty or health problems. How Old are you? 2 Likes |

showafrica:about the 50 ppl issue havent u seen yahoo boys renting one flat and they will be numerous in the flat? .One guy go meet landlord to rent the place and within a week u will see about 60 to 70 young men in a flat in their boxers and singlets using laptops .Guy things we do as tenants in naija we cant do as a tenant in a foreign country. In naija u can destroy ur landlord property and scatter everywia and still get away with it.For here wen u pay ur first rent u will also pay the landlord a fee they call security fee.In case u destroy anything he go dey collect from ur security fee .thats how they do it here sha..dont know if its the same way they do it in yankee or uk sha.But if u main with ur landlord he might not collect any amount from ur security fee is something spoil. It depends on how u dey roll with the landlord..but that does not mean u will now destroy his AC or his microwave and he wont collect from ur security fee .if u want to leave maybe at the end of the month or anytime he will give u back ur security fee. |

ibedun:i am in my 30s and nope i can never invite any nigerian girl to come over with me.I no get serious babe wen i comot so it will be very stupid of me to now invite a girl i saw on facebook or someone linked me up to her .I dont see anything wrong dating a foreign woman or a naija lady based in a foreign land.Na men wey dey restrict themselves to say they must only marry nigerian woman na im go get into issues.why will u invite someone to join u that know nothing about..just because they told u she comes from a good family .But having said this if u already based overseas and u had a wife before u left and u are capable to bring her over i believe its unfair just to leave her back in naija with the kids.Haba the kids need to see their dad and feel his presence nau. |
